The Morgan Stanley office in Burlingame is located just a block from Burlingame Avenue. The office was previously located at the downtown San Mateo office, at 181 Second Avenue.

I had some difficulties getting in touch with my financial advisor yesterday; I called around 4 and there wasn't even a secretary to answer the phone. This morning, when I called at 8:45, a nice woman took a message for me and let me know that my finance guy wasn't in the office yet. A few minutes ago (11:40 am), I called again, and was successful in reaching my financial advisor. I told him what I needed and no less than 2 minutes later, things are squared away and perfect. :)

A non MS broker calls me (as they do 10x per week)

cold caller misrepresents to the receptionist and gets through as "Tom Davies calling about your last trade"
cold caller: Hello, is this Larry??
Me: Yeah what't this about?!
cold caller:  I was wondering if I could share just one idea with you.
No
cold caller:  And if you don't like it we can part friends
Me: We aren't friends now, so no we sorta can't
Me (interrupting): let me ask you something, can you fax me a picture of yourself, a copy of a drivers license and a biz card?
cold caller: why? (or he hangs up)
Me:  I don't get jerked over the phone and I don't buy stock from people that i haven't been bellybutton to bellybutton with.
Me: CLICK (I fake hanging up the phone)
Me: Do you call that a sales call??!   Start over...
Me: I put him on speaker phone to let my people know how to handle phone rejection and keep pressing your agenda

Its like free phone sales training.

p.s. My MS broker is in CT.  He's good and he gives great phone.  My $5k IRA is now almost five digits thx to him.
