I would describe this place as a dive martini bar.  My favorite part about this place was the martini menu, they offer over 300 different types of martinis. The place was pretty big and the staff was attentive enough. The food was decent enough. The martinis were definelty the best part.

i had the 'Lucy in the sky with diamonds'  - YUM!!
the bartender was great

if you love a chill place and experimenting with drinks you'll lovethis place!!

Cozy, clean, attentive staff, eclectic selection of beers, and a not-too-busy happy hour during the week. A pretty nice place, though not anything to scream about if you're looking for a cruise-and-be-cruised kind of place.

Weird, I'm giving this place 5 stars - the food is 4 stars (3 occasionally).  However, the drinks are good, and there is a variety hard to find elsewhere.  The cocktails are made primarily of top shelf booze, and the wait staff matches (top shelf).
The list of drinks is long, but I would never say that a list of booze is too long, that's like saying the sun is too bright, too warm, too sunny!  I go here regularly, and have found that the service improves with recognition, and they respond to healthy tipping.
The food is okay, better if you have 2 or 3 martini's or drink prior.  I just love a place where I can't make up my mind about what to drink.

Oh, I love this bar!  I went here twice, and enjoyed my time there. If you're looking for a tasty drink that not just for chicks, make the trip!  It's located in Hell's Kitchen.  I highly recommend the Chocolate Martini.  If you've had your dose of chocolate, ask for their martini 'book'.  YES- book.  There's over 200 martinis they make.  Incredible and sooo yummy.  Have fun!

With all those martinis you'd like someone was getting laid.

This is an extremely accessible place; their list of martinis makes it easy for those not versed in the ways of mixing and getting sloshed artfully. No beers on tap, but plenty in bottle. The prices are a bit on the high side, but that's offset by the fact that this place actually is sort of a rarity in the area, at least I feel, with non-beer drinking women who'd like a quieter, classier place that's still wears it's drinking badge on it's chalkboard outside ("You know what we hate? People who read menus outside when they could be drinking inside"). It's a great place to kick back.

However, I felt a bit nauseous after the fish and chips. The fish was ok, the fries were TERRIFIC. I really, really like the fries here; they are kind of thin shoestring (not as thick as like McDonald's but not literal shoe strings like Spotted Pig), fried to perfection, crispy and seasoned.

Their menu is a bit pricey, but the portions for the towering nachos was insane. It's a mountain of possible greatness. It's just a great place, loungy but with a strong bar presence, TVs to watch any games, and when you hear Black Flag in a bar like this, you know it's totally worth it.

First and foremost - I have never seen such an extensive cocktail menu in my life.  Honestly.  It's like 100 pages long.  You can't even get to the end of it.  I actually found it way too overwhelming - too many choices to find just the perfect one!  Impossible!  So you just have to see one that looks good and go with it.  Luckily, my choice was good, and very very strong - just how I like 'em.

The bar itself is narrow, with tables in front and a more chilled out room with couches in the back.  I have to say, awesome to see couches in a bar in midtown, even awesomer to have a group of 4 snag a spot on a comfy couch at midnight on a Saturday.  So not completely mobbed - good by me.  Good to know there are still some places you can go, enjoy a martini, and actually be able to sit down on something squishy and soft.

The cons however - the music choices were mostly terrible.  Early 90s pop and hip-hop.  Really cheezy radio hits only.  Very un-hip and uninteresting.  Then I noticed the screen above my head was broadcasting a baseball game.  Another huge problem.

So - a nice time was had.  We were able to enjoy our strong and delicious drinks (about $10-$12 each) and comfy seating, while ignoring the bad music and baseball game and fratty types.  Not too bad of a tradeoff I suppose.

This is a nice neighborhood watering hole.  There is nothing really stand-out about it, except that it has a fairly unique beer selection.  I sat at the bar, but I noticed there was a nice-looking, low-slung seating area in the back.

All in all, a good chill choice if you live in the area.

I went to Vintage for the Yelp Office hours, and must say I kind of liked the place. The bar is actually quite large, and is pretty fun too (quite an improvement over the other straight Midtown bars I've visited in the past, most of which I have no recollection of or desire to go to ever again). The drink selection is quite large, and the couple of vodkas and tonic I had were strong enough. They also serve food. We ordered a bunch of appetizers (fried calamari, onion rings, pita, nachos, etc), but I thought most of it was a little disappointing. I could see myself going back (though the odds are pretty low considering Vlada is just a block away...).

Even though it took me almost an hour to decide which martini I wanted to try, I really liked this place!  I guess I should have asked the martini sommelier aka bartender which ones were the most popular.  We had a great spot right next to the ceiling to floor windows, plenty of comfy seats although we eventually took over the bar top.
The food was pretty good, I really loved the huge onion rings.  But then again when you are buzzed and hungry isn't all food tasty?
I would definitely go back especially since it's close to home.

More martinis than you can shake a whole forest of sticks at.  201?!  Who needs that many martinis?  How could you ever figure out a favorite with so many options?  Are they all as mediocre as mine was?  I guess if you can't do a couple of things incredibly well you should at least do a hundred things very averagely.  Yes, I made up a word.  And furthermore, how different can they be really?  Several martinis seemed to feature the exact same recipe with a different mix of very similar juices.  I did really like that they have customer recommended martinis, that made me happy for some reason.
The space was okay, we sat in a nice little window nook up front.  My caramel apple martini (yes, I drank my dessert, thank you for not judging) was just okay - I really expected it to be a little smoother and less Apple Pucker in a glass.  Did you know that you can bling out your pico de gallo by having tequila added to it?  Uh, yeah.

This review does not reflect the food.  Just the bar.

Yep, the martini list is pretty extensive, but everybody knows that by now.  What impressed me was the bartender's knowledge of the list.  Quite a few fellow Yelpers coming in for Office Hours gave their preferred tastes, and the bartender easily whipped up something to the delight of each.  There's decent seating area, but, like with most bars, a lot of space is standing room, so the place feels a little cavernous earlier in the day.  Flavored martinis aren't really my thing, but this is definitely to stay on my list for taking guests who are inclined to such drinks.

My boyfriend and I go here quite a bit as it's one of the only places in the city that serves Chimay White. Extensive beer/cocktail list. The food is decent bar food. Nothing too fancy. It's a big after show hangout for a lot of Broadway chorus people.

Cute place and wasn't stuffed with people around 11.  The menu is really very large.  My drink didn't have much alcohol and it cost $7 bucks.  Beer is average $5 bucks for city.  I would say its a good place for drinks with a special someone on a date as well.

Vintage is all right. They're a good spot for after dinner drinks. However, be carefrul if you plan something there. I was just there for a work party and we didn't get the back area that we were promised.

Drinks are good and kinda on the big side - that's what pushes the joint up to 4 stars.

I went here for the first time last September. It's generally a poor idea to have nearly three 100% alcohol martinis in the space of two hours, but man are they tasty! Despite a large bill and some gaps in my memory the next day, I was ready to go back. I got my chance this month, and while I was stuck at the crazy low ottomans near the door with 11 friends, I was rewarded with my new favorite drink - the Buttery Nipple (Absolut Vanilla, Butterscotch Schnapps and Bailey's) and the determination to come again when my wallet recovers.

A solid choice for a drink or a bite in the many options along 9th Ave.  Claims to have the largest martini list in Manhattan, but whenever I come here I always feel like having a beer - it just has that kind of feel to it.

Hate to disagree for once with Rich S (we do seem to have similar tastes), but I would hardly call the food here amazing.  It's standard pub fare done reasonably well, but you can definitely find a better quesadilla or club sandwhich along this strip too.  Service is also very spotty - you always seem to be ignored when you need something and overly attended to when you haven't made a decision yet.  I guess I just think waiters should be able to read such things.

I do like the back area with the choices and lots of little nooks and crannys to chill out in.  Bottom line: it's a good place to come for a martini, a beer or a bite with friends, but don't expect to blown away.

Yelp Office Hours.  Debacle.  Offer a cocktail to some Yelpers, and you will certainly have a turn out!  Some of the more site present, tenured Yelpers graced us with their presence, which was a treat.  There were a lot of new faces for me to meet, so it was a really great time!

The drinks-Let's just say by reading the threads following, and by my hang over the next day, they are fine.

The food-We had Hummus platter (mediocre), onion rings (the largest I have ever seen), Nachos (which were delicious), and a quesadilla (which was pretty good.)

The service is great, and the girl (Nadia, I believe) is SASSY!  Loves it!

All in all, the best Yelp Office Hours we have had in NYC!

Awesome selection of martinis and strong cocktails - almost too awesome.  Deciding what to order can be quite the onerous task.  While my drink (I went with the Elyssa's Elated... a little vodka, a little alize and a splash of cran. ghetto delicious) was awesome, the service was most definitely not.

Our waitress had apparently never heard of a tray to carry more than one drink at once.  You'd also think she was going to Russia and squeezing the vodka from the potato, based on how long it took her to bring the drinks.

The jury is still out on this one.  I'd give my drink a 4. And I'd definitely consider having a private party in the back, where the service would hopefully be more attentive.

Little bar located at the corner of 51st and 9th. The bar looks pretty small and it is, but it goes back about 40 feet to a sitting area. There are bar stools or seats against the wall if you so choose.

Wide selection of various drinks, but mostly of martinis and dessert martinis. I don't remember the name our our server, but she did have recommendations up the whazzu. I had the Bond and...I don't remember the other. The prices ranged from $10-$15 per martini.

There are two washrooms behind a curtain. Yes, there are doors that you can lock for these washrooms.

Loved it.  The drink menu is extensive, impressive, unlike anything else I've seen in Hell's Kitchen.  There are so many choices of wine, champagne, beers, and the plethera of mixed drinks they created are unique and inventive.  There are so many choices, you could never sample them all!  The food is tastey "gastro-pub", and not too expensive, but kind of an afterthought when you consider the drinks.  The waitstaff when I was there was friendly and patient (they need to be with so many choices) and they were able to make recommendations.  It's a smallish place, but I highly recommend it for either a date situation OR a group.

Step into this place and you're handed an actual binder of drink options. 160+ martini choices, sizeable beer and wine list. Come if you're a cocktail lover or need a chill place to grab some drinks (there's also a bit of intimate lounge seating in the back). They've got an array of small plates for after-work snacking; we had dinner here, though, and were unimpressed by a dryish grilled chicken club and the american-cheese-filled "stuffed burger", which sounded nifty but tasted like any old burger.

This is truly a neighborhood bar. Nice but not pretentious. Divy but comfortable.  It has a husky glamour and GREAT food, the Nachos will delight your belly.  The service is feisty, but if they fuck up they will give you a shot. Jeffrey, the main bartender knows how to perfectly pour all Belgian beers and will help you solve any quandries you may have about anything. Ask him how Bosley is....This place is dimly lit, with a great soundtrack, has over 200 martini creations, and 75 beers.  Vintage is like the rolodex/libarary of the neighborhood, it is so hot it is cool and so cool it is hot.

Clearly a martini list that cannot be beat. You will enjoy the lounge with friends, comfy couches and rose colored atmosphere. The service is always pleasant and they will pick the perfect martini that you are craving. The list is a long one so be prepared with your flavor craving in mind. You will undoubtedly find it. The food is good for appetizers and sharing. We've had many gatherings there after work and enjoyed tasting their cafe/bar fare. They also were kind enough to send up a second dessert platter to our group after burning a batch of warm baked cookies. I will say that their chocolate martini, it's made with vanilla vodka and creme de cacao (clear and pure) is fabulous. I have not found one better than this one other than Flemings which is a very close second. If you seek an unusual martini in a funky place that could easily make a great first date place, do Vintage. It's perfect.
