3 reviews for Mooseburger Lounge @ Six Flags
We were starving from all the walking and waiting in line for rides so we headed to Mooseburger for some lunch. No wait which was awesome! The soda cups were huge which was great since we were all dehydrated. We all ordered burgers and they tasted okay. Wasn't the best burger ever but honestly they could have served me cat food and I wouldn't have noticed I was so hungry. The fries were giant and yummy. Service was friendly and the decor was fun.
The moose head starts singing every 15 min or so which got annoying but otherwise it was fine. The giant moose behind me kind of creeped me out though. I would surely go back next time I go to six flags.
This place is located inside Six Flags Magic Mountain almost close to the entrance. This restaurant was included with our purchase of the Thrill Pass. I actually thought we were allowed to use this "all-you-can-eat-buffet" voucher more than once in one day.. but I guess its a one time stop. Anyways, I was very disappointed to find out that the buffet selection was very limited (about 12 dishes), let alone not sooo tasty and EXTREMELY mushy (kinda felt like I ate baby food in almost every dish!) =/
The only thing that was actually good was the broiled chicken--but I really don't think chicken is hard to make, so you can't go wrong there--unless you totally suck at cooking!!! Basically the buffet selection consisted of watery lasagna, mashed potatoes w/ some sort of meat inside topped with dried out cheese, bbq beef, meatballs, and some funky ass stuffing. Gah, the buffet was definitely nasty. "All you can eat" might as well be "all you can throw away". I didn't actually clean out my plate if you know what I mean. =/
If you do decide to go here when you get hungry at Magic Mountain, I highly suggest just ordering their burger w/ fries. At least that looks decent enough to eat. Whatever, at least the soda cup was HUGE!!! Soo convenient for waiters and yourself so that you don't have to ask for refills as often =)
Lastly, the decor was pretty cute. Moose heads and statues on the walls and centerpiece. This place was actually 2-stories, so that's cool. Very small bathroom space, but that's fine when it's not too crowded. Overall, decor was nice but I rather drink off a toilet bowl than eat their buffet food. HAHAHA, it was that nasty.
our thrill passes came with a buffet meal here which included drinks.
i wasnt expecting very much from an amusement park buffet, and thats good cuz i wasnt too surprised to see what they would serve us.
bbq beef - too soft and too much sauce. probably pre packaged and boiled for hours until the meat disintegrates
bbq chicken, which was probably the only edible thing - boiled chicken, then put under a broiler to make a crisp top.
chicken enchiladas - took 2 bites and not one more. resembled something chef boyardee would make
pasta - tasted like insta-roni, the magic mountain treat
stuffing - watery, disgusting
corn off the cob - canned corn that was just poured onto the hot plate, not even strained from all the canning juice
few things i enjoyed: no waiting in any lines here folks. AC upstairs and downstairs. big ol' cups for soda or ice water to replenish yourself. service is pretty friendly and try to help you enjoy your stay, probably cuz they feel bad about the food
