Best stone crabs ever, hands down. I lived in Sarasota for years, and this place is the stuff of legends for the locals. They make stiff drinks, bring you bibs for shell crackin', and have on the water seating. Don't forget to try the mustard sauce with the stone crabs- I thought it was weird too at first, but wow! Helpful waitstaff, friendly and fast service. Really fresh crabs- you gotta hit this place up if you love stone crabs.
Be prepared to pull out your wallet. Luckily you get what you pay for. You are paying for the food on your plate (which is delicious), drinks that don't skimp on alcohol, servers who put your bib on for you, and fisherman who go out to the dock right there and catch and trap your food as you dine. The sauces are unique and the servers are knowledgeable and are not afraid to help you make budget happy choices. Freshest stone crab you can get since it is literally coming right out of the water and onto your plate.
NASTY!!!Tourist trap!!!
I spent $270 for four people. I should have spent $70 at the most. The food was frozen not fresh, stone crabs were ok, soft shell crabs ( Don't get the soft shell crabs). I owned a marina Restaurant like this I know what it should have been like. This was like they just threw together a menu had the freezer truck drop off and they opened to serve. For Florida with no fresh seafood I was very very very disappointed!
A great fresh seafood, casual place. They have awesome stone crabs they trap themselves. Their other seafood is great too. Nice famly atmosphere.
