I rarely feel strongly enough about a place to write a bad review, but I truly had a horrible experience here. I took in 8 garments for alterations as I have recently lost some weight (about 15 lbs, so we're talking about taking in items one size down on average).

I picked up the items close to their closing time (mistake) and tried them on at home and was so upset. As you can see in the pictures, problems were everywhere - seams that were unraveling, seams that were horribly crooked, misaligned waistbands, etc. Angela had not taken any material out of the clothing, but had bunched it into the waistband, creating thick, uneven waistbands. This also created a tent on the butt you can see most clearly on the white shorts.

One of my favorite items I brought in is a reversible blouse. Despite discussing that it was reversible during fitting, Angela sewed the excess material over to one side, rendering it completely unwearable on that side and creating a crooked seam on the other.

When I went back to the store I was yelled at by Angela, called "too sensitive", and alternately told me that my request for my money back was unreasonable because of how much time and quality work she had put in, then told I got what I paid for because her work was cheap (as if). I was also told that she only did "alterations", not "tailoring" (despite the large neon sign over the storefront advertising both). I am honestly shocked she is proud of such shoddy work.

Now I am left with 8 garments I cannot wear until I can have another competent tailor undo her work and remake the clothes. She refused to give me more than 30% back.

I can't speak for their laundry services but do yourself a favor and take your alterations or tailoring elsewhere.

Not only did this place rip an expensive silk blazer, which they blamed on me (huh?) but the clothes also come back wrinkled. And they are rude. So much for trying to do the right thing and patronizing the small business owner. If you value high quality service, pass on this place.

I'm sad to leave this review but I came to this business for the first time this week and the tailoring they did was terrible. I bought a piece of clothing that has a cheap plastic zipper that broke almost instantly and needed to be taken in, in a small section I took it to them for a zipper replacement and small alteration. They said no problem but didn't tell me a price. I needed this item in 48hr so I didn't have time to worry about the price. When I came to pick it up it was ready to go - $40. Felt steep but I was thankful they could do it so quickly and if they had to purchase a new zipper I understood. I get it home - no new zipper. They just badly sewed over an already broken zipper to keep one section closed. It looks terrible and probably took them 3 minutes to "fix" - I'm sure it'll break again when I put it on, and the alteration they did to take it in also looks very sloppily done. The service was fast and fried not but the quality is below subpar. I would not recommend them for any alterations or tailoring ever. Sad.

Almost everyone is nice. They quote you one price and when you need to pick it up, they hike up the price substantially. The work is very inconsistent. One of my pant legs is at least an inch shorter than the other, it makes the pants very uncomfortably to wear. Just go somewhere else.

My experience was not the best. Took a new suitjacket to have one button fixed which was fine but when I returned to pick up the jacket it was soiled with a waxy substance with lint and other dust . I was given the jacket back and mentioned the unknown substance which was taken in the back and was removed I then noticed that the clothing material had been damaged afterwards. At that point I just wanted to leave. I will happily go else where for future service.

Definitely capable of quality dry cleaning and certainly go the extra mile to solve a variety of dry cleaning needs. Would recommend to friends & family in a heartbeat.

Also very inexpensive as far as dry cleaning goes (much more affordable than what the competition charges in this neighborhood).

We use Montrose cleaners weekly, so I was surprised to see the bad reviews and read them all! Yes, the cash only thing is very inconvenient, particularly when you are a regular plastic user. The review that sounds like its about a laundymat is the business next door and I don't think they are affiliated. We have consistently gotten good dry cleaning done there, as well as, shirt laundering . We have also used them for cleaning feather bed soiled by cat and had great results.

Alterations: I have had some mixed results, but none nearly as bad as my other local place Ruby cleaners. They hem and take in pants pretty well, Jeans they do in a really strange way. Zippers & drawstrings: if you want it done right, bring the proper zipper or drawstring with you. I have never had any dry cleaner do the alterations as well as I would do them myself, as I have those skills, but there are plenty of times that I just don't want to be bothered with the task. I hope this helps!

Prices are super high but I think they do pretty good work , just a little high for me . Cost me 29 bucks for a suit coat , white shirt and pants .

Great service, friendly staff always willing to help out in a pinch.

What more could you want!!

I probably would have had a better experience had I washed my clothes in the puddles of piss outside Wrigley Field. I know that laundromat/dry cleaners are fairly shady in general, but this one was pretty astounding. I felt like I was walking into a dry cleaner owned by the German SS.

Not only will you be watched (stared at) the entire time you are here, but the owner told me that if I wanted to dry my clothes here, I would need to pay for two dryers (when I only needed one.) Of course, I paid for no dryer and let my clothes air dry that day.

I love to support local business but not when they're asshats. I should have just gone up the street to Spin Cycle.
