I don't know what happened in the last few months at Montrose cleaners. I've gotten back white garments that looked dingy. If I wanted my white sweaters to get dingy I would have washed them myself. In one case I had a ribbon belt missing from a dress. When I went back they tried to pull it off someone else's skirt.
I've still had a few alterations done here and that seems to still be done beautifully. I'm only going back to Montrose cleaners for alterations with very clear instructions.

I probably would have had a better experience had I washed my clothes in the puddles of piss outside Wrigley Field. I know that laundromat/dry cleaners are fairly shady in general, but this one was pretty astounding. I felt like I was walking into a dry cleaner owned by the German SS.
Not only will you be watched (stared at) the entire time you are here, but the owner told me that if I wanted to dry my clothes here, I would need to pay for two dryers (when I only needed one.) Of course, I paid for no dryer and let my clothes air dry that day.
I love to support local business but not when they're asshats. I should have just gone up the street to Spin Cycle.
Great service, friendly staff always willing to help out in a pinch.
What more could you want!!
A totally solid dry cleaner, fast, decently priced. Major plus: they gave us a desk calendar with pictures of puppies at the start of 2009. Who doesn't like puppies?!?

This cleaners is pretty good- fast, cheap and he even does do a decent job tailoring quick little repairs. I highly recommend this cleaners!!
