This place is pretty awesome. Great food, maybe a little pricey for what you get, but doesn't really disappoint. And the muffins - they are the best part! Delicious. The atmosphere is very comfortable, and not noisy besides the chatter of others around you. Overall, love this place.

What a wonderful find Montero's was! The restaurant is set in an old home, with multiple dining rooms in the various rooms. Decor is clean and attractive. The Montero's menu has a lot of fin and shellfish dishes, steaks, chops, chicken, veggie and pasta dishes. Creative interpretations are many, but are restrained-- selecting from the menu choices was a challenge. I went with the Shrimp & Grits; the grits seasoned with smoked Gouda which paired beautifully with the Andouille sausage. The interpretation was neither Low Country nor Georgia, but instead, contemporary Cajun. Dishes come with either one or two sides, and are prepared with the same flair and attention to detail. Service couldn't have been more gracious. Montero's offers top-notch fine dining.

This place looked like one of the nicest spots in E-City so I decided to check it out. Possibly my favorite part was the bread service because of the fresh mini muffins. Freakin' blueberry. That's the way to my heart.
The second best thing here (for a city boy like me) is the absolutely ridiculously low prices. Any wine or beer list that has items that begin with $3 or $4 is simply foreign to me. Especially if it's for alcohol that really ain't too bad.
I ordered the stuffed flounder, which was stuffed with a crab cake and a garlic spinach cream sauce. Overall it was ok but the fish was pretty mushy, a little too moist for my liking. But it had a nice flavor. I also really enjoyed the loaded baked potato.
Had carrot cake for dessert. It was on par with most carrot cakes. I liked that you could order a half piece for half price and not feel as guilty about it.
To have an entire meal like this at $45 including dessert, coffee and a 23 oz Blue Moon is simply unheard of where I come from. 3-stars y'all. -

The restaurant is really cute inside, like a house with different rooms for dining. They have a great wine list and cute names for their specialty cocktails. The service was excellent and my pesto pasta was pretty good. I could see having a romantic dinner or a casual dinner with a few friends here. Will definitely return.

I am at a loss for words to adequately describe the dining experience at Montero's. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, and the food is stellar - the only thing I've tried on the menu that I didn't absolutely love were the donuts, which were more like fritters than donuts. They came with three sauces, but each sauce conflicted with the sugar coating the donuts. Not bad, not good. The meals are absolutely incredible, and the rest of the dessert menu well worth the hassle of a reservation.
With different rooms to suit different moods, each dining experience is slightly different, yet all are very pleasant.
Well, maybe not as much of a loss for words as I'd thought. Plus, very cute waitresses ;)
