Absolutely awesome course. Usually get to play here once a year with my friend who is a member but you can play here without a member since it's a semi-private course.
Course is in fantastic shape today and each time I've played it over the last several years. Tough but fair challenge. Very forgiving for Slicers like myself. 3 holes run right along the water and you get a great view of the Mt.Hope Bridge.
Overall, it's must if your in the area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dara M.Milton, MA1802611Aug 11, 2019
Really enjoyed a day at this course! Value for the price is excellent. Has many scenic holes and layout is fun and challenging. Some tee boxes needed attention and greens were very hard, it was difficult to stay on greens for approach shots. Once you were putting they rolled fast and true. Staff were friendly and members alike. Definitely worth booking in advance to snag a public play tee time. Would definitely play again if I lived closer to the area!

Very nice course, water views on 3 or 4 holes. When golf game struggled the beer cart was nearby to help (very reasonable cart beer prices). Pro shop employees friendly and professional

This course is great. This past season, the third hole was closed to take a proactive approach to handle some green issues. They have redone the hole and it looks amazing. I have decided to throw my application and fee in for the lottery on Feb. 26, 2018. This is not a typical CC, they are very friendly and the course is challenging each time you tee off. I started golfing a few years ago and have made a point to play a lot of local courses. Montaup is not only convenient for me being a Portsmouth Resident, but also the best course I have played. Flag placement becomes tough as a lot of greens have many slopes and one day can be a two putt day and the next a three or four putt day. So many strokes!!! I hope to become an associate member this year but will be on the list for future lotteries if my name is not selected. See you soon MCC!!

This course use to have the best greens in the region. Especially in September and October. Over the past several years, the greens are a huge disappointment. I just recently played there and they apparently lost the green on hole #3. They set up 100yd hole on their practice green. The rest of the greens look ok from a distance but they do not roll well. Very bumpy. If the current super can't fix it, I suggest they find someone that can.

Played here twice in July while vacationing in nearby Tiverton. We found the course to be in great shape from tee to green. It had everything, tight holes, wide fairways, doglegs and both up and downhill holes. The greens rolled true and the sand was fluffy. On top of that it's a nice layout and some great holes on the water. At $45.00 it was worth the money and we would definitely play there again.
