We purchased from Arman 3 rings... 2 custom wedding rings and one engagement ring. Although they were all likely a little bit more money than we intended to spend, they all came out beautiful and this is in in no way meant to say anything about his work which has been consistently excellent.

Given the exorbitant costs of all three rings at the time and the care Arman took in making each one, it seemed logical when he delivered them and promised us both verbally that should there be any need for future care/work, he would take care of them in the future at no charge. "I never charge for servicing rings that I make," he said as he proudly delivered me the rings, with a twinkle in his eye and a bright smile.

Fast forward three years to today, my rings needed to be increased in size. Arman coordinated a time to do the ring adjustments same-day and delivered the rings to me along with a $280 invoice. Wait a minute, I thought, he promised never to charge me for these? I politely asked him to honor his word and reminded him that he had made this promise to me years ago. He informed me that he "has to make a living too" and he has a "business to run" and that if I had any questions I should ask my husband about running a business. My husband and I both run businesses (I'm a dentist) and so I don't need to ask him about running a business (thanks for the sexist comment), but when you give someone your word in business, you should honor it.

I'm happy to remove this review if Arman is willing to honor his word and remove the invoice.

I visited Mona Lisa Jewelers today for a repair. Arman Movsesian, the owner, had been highly recommended by a friend. Nevertheless, I was overwhelmed by Arman' s professionalism and kind personality. He took his time and did a superb job on the repair. It was quickly obvious that this is a person who, after many years' experience, still loves his work. He is a true artist. Highly recommended.

Arman worked with me to make a design and got the ring completed quickly to accommodate my schedule. A real family business, ask to see the rings his children designed. Great craftsmanship and fun to work with.

My fiancé and I had a wonderful experience working with Arman and Helena -- we would recommend them to anyone looking for an engagement ring. It's a puzzle to me why so many people elect to buy a mass-produced engagement ring when you can get a custom-made ring from a local craftsman who 1) does absolutely beautiful work, 2) charges substantially less than those large retailers, and 3) can produce anything that you want.

We had a pretty good idea of the "feel" we wanted for our ring and brought in a few pics to show them. Arman explained the pros and cons of various cuts and stones (the guy REALLY knows his gemstones) and we tried on various styles of bands. We settled on a style we liked (very simple, small single blue sapphire in bezel setting), they gave us a very reasonable quote. We went back a few days later to look at the stones when they came in from their supplier (they seem to have various stones there, but can order others easily that fit your needs -- type, size, cut, color, origin, etc.). The first batch of stones weren't quite right, and they were totally glad to order more and we found the perfect one on our next visit. We picked up the finished ring this morning and it is exactly what we had hoped for -- it was such a pleasant experience to be involved in designing and customizing the ring, especially since it will be something that we will treasure forever.

They are both excellent at facilitating the whole process and aren't judgmental about anything--their only concern is that YOU (the customer) are happy. Arman showed us photos of all of the pieces he's made over the years and he truly could make just about any type of ring or other piece of jewelry that you'd want, and will gladly share his experience and recommendations with you as well.

I had a great experience working with Helena and Arman on a custom necklace. Based only on a vague idea of what I wanted, they put together a drawing that really the idea come to life, and provided me with price quotes to do it in two different sizes. Arman then turned the drawing into a beautiful and unique necklace in white gold.

Just as importantly, both of them are extremely nice and a pleasure to work with. By way of example, I needed to get a ring resized while they were working on the pendant, and Arman did it for me one afternoon; when I returned to pick up the pendant and asked to pay for the resizing, Arman refused my multiple offers to take any payment, saying the resizing was his gift. Amazing!
