Dive? Yes, DIVE. They even have railroad tracks across the street. A dark atmosphere with cheap prices and a flirty barmaid makes for too much to drink. I also like the people here - just your regular subdivision Joe with a penchant for beer. I've met a lot of good, smart folks here and was surprised at the networking I've subsequently and inadvertently done.

So if you find yourself on the far Northeast side of Houston - this place is worth a few rounds of your time.

Molly's is a comfortable place to go after work and throw darts or shoot pool. I have never been there Friday or Saturday nights and not into the pick up scene. As far as being smoky, no I think smoking is only on the outdoor deck on the side...not indoor. Great beer selection and mixed drinks. Not a wine bar though. Wine selection is poor.

I usually don't mind smoke. However, the smoke in this place is unbearable- I mean, it hurts your eyes (and my eyes aren't sensitive). Since its technically outside of Houston limits, smoking inside is okay- encouraged infact since they dont even have a patio!
It reminds me of college except in this scenario, it's mostly 50 year old divorcees instead of 20 year old frat guys. Either way it's bad.
This the closest bar to Kingwood, so I'm throwing in an extra star. yee ha!

All three stars are for the beer selection, the pool, and the shuffleboard, the selection of food is not anything special, but the beer makes up for it.  The best part is they have my ACE Pear cider on draft, how many bars have that?  I like the atmosphere, and it is a good place to go after work.  If you are looking for a fancy meal and a nice bottle of Pinot Noir, probably not your place.

Hello,
I was recently at  mollys pub with my girlfriend(next to kingwood, texas). The ENTIRE bar INSIDE is non-smoking!!!-yes that is right....They have signs posted saying such and the smokers have to go outside to a covered patio to smoke-tv's out there.Plenty of beers on tap, darts, pool tables-PLENTY of room....big screen tv's...They even have the buzztime trivia where you compete against others in the bar and other people nationwide-it is FREE!!! The bartenders and waitstaff are attentive and the food is GREAT...Highly recommend...who needs the cheers bar...definately a sports themed bar....its a full service bar as well:O) GO Raiders!! They have sunday nfl ticket for ALL nfl sports fans....:O)Also nascar and baseball on the big screen when i was there-a GREAT neighborhood bar...noone is a stranger for long....regulars and new people:O)Plenty of parking as well....:O)

good cheap beer, cheap drinks, decent tvs for watching sports and pool and shuffelboard tables. The outside is a decent addition, but don't expect much from this suburbia bar. Regardless, a decent place to drown your sorrows, run into old acquaintances, and most people are friendly.

You typical sports bar/pub in suburbia.  I don't frequent it as much as I used to, but Molly's is a good place to grab a brew, shoot some pool and catch the nightly game.  Molly's seems to have a little more character than the typical suburban sports bar.  A number of good beers on tap and the bartender's are always friendly.
