I recently dined at Molina's Ranch and had a pretty satisfying experience, deserving of a solid 4-star rating.
I decided to go for the Tronchos De Pescado and Tostones, and one thing that stood out was how they lightly fried the grouper. It was just right, not overly oily, and it made the dish quite enjoyable.
Now, as for the tostones, they were tasty, but I must admit they were a bit light on the salt. I guess they were aiming for a healthier twist, but a touch more salt would have elevated the flavors.
The real star of the show here, though, is their Plantain chips. If you're a fan of plantain chips, you're in for a treat. They're perfectly crispy, and you'll find yourself reaching for more with every bite.
Now, I'll be honest, Cuban food isn't my absolute favorite, but I can appreciate the effort put into the dishes here. Molina's Ranch is indeed one of the better places to enjoy Cuban cuisine. So, if you're looking for a decent meal and a taste of some fantastic plantain chips, give this place a shot. It's a worthy stop for those who appreciate Cuban flavors.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Aug 27, 2023
My husband had a churrasco with Galician soup, which he hoovered down. He said the soup was really good. I had the chicken chunks with black bean rice and sweet plantains, all were delicious. Their complementary Cuban bread was also yummy. My husband is Cuban and very particular about his Cuban food, we were both suitably impressed. The service was also efficient and friendly. We will be back.

I recently went to this restaurant for my first time and what a disappointment. Went during lunch time and order the lunch special of grilled chicken, congri, and maduro. The chicken had such a weird taste, it seemed like it was cooked with old oil or oil used to cook pork because it was just not the typical grilled chicken taste. For being one of "the best" Cuban restaurants in Hialeah it was a huge disappointment.

Food is amazing! I ate palomilla with congri. They add chicharron to the congri and this is really good!
Service is good too.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Feb 2, 2023
Absolutely love this Cuban restaurant! Service is fast and attentive even with having a large group. Food is served as ordered and delicious. Portions are large so you can take home leftovers. My favorite is the grilled palomilla with white rice and black beans. Other favorites of the night were the fried fish chunks. Definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Casual attire.
Friendly environment.
Hostess is on point.
Prices $$$
My husband has been coming to Molina's restaurant since 1985 from the restaurant was in the building next to the exciting location much smaller and it is still one of the most authentic Cuban cuisine still around even at the larger location they have made.
We as a couple have been visiting the new location for about 12 years and live the food always.
THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THE EXPRESSO!
The expresso is NOT GOOD it taste like it's BURNT HORRIBLE we have said this time after time to the Waite staff and we have tried the expresso on several occasions and still the same BURNT TASTE!
Note to owner(s), Managemnt please check on your expresso maker.
We would love to enjoy your expresso as we enjoy your cuisine.
Enjoy you all!
Cheers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 20, 2022
This is a breakfast review only
Stopped in this morning for breakfast. The restaurant is under construction, but it is open. I had the number 1 scrambled. It comes with fries or house potatoes, Cuban toast and cafe con leche (coffee with milk)
The eggs were good, the potatoes were not. The Cuban toast needs to be flattened more, a lot more. They were way to soft
The service is average and the ambiance was boring.
All in all it's not bad (for breakfast)
I'll be reviewing lunch here at a later date.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jan 27, 2023
Our last evening in Miami and we stopped at this Cuban restaurant at my sister's suggestion.
Nondescript, but with a large and varied seating area, we were placed in their 'table section'. Their menu was quite possibly the most extensive menu at any restaurant I've been to in recent memory. Being that it was my last night in the ears, I had my hometown staple - Picadillo. It wasn't like my mom's, but it was authentic nonetheless.
They served buttered Cuban bread in those nice elongated slices, a nice touch; and the service was very friendly and attentive - and he had a nice dry wit about him I liked. It was a good way to close out the trip.
If you're in town, and roaming this area, this is a no-miss...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
