10 reviews for Moe's Grill
woohoo! got to visit my favorite fox employee again @ her work :] finally got the chance to get a taste of moe's grill.
i wasn't feeling too hungry so i ended up digging from the salad bar (it's like yogurtland, you pay by weight of your salad, so good luck with packing your greens). tons of green varieties and dressing. i suck at making my own salad, but i manage to make decent ones here.
my friend opted for a sandwich from the deli and she loved every bite of it. she's treking the vegetarian route so requested a vegetarian sandwich. i must say, vegetarianism never looked so good! her sandwich was complete with avocado, sprouts, tomato, lettuce.. and so much more!
fun place to eat :] hope ya'll have friends @ fox!

Holy Sch-MOE! I envy those that works at the FOX Studio (*ahem* my friend Amie) because they have… Read more »
Moe's Grill is like the one episode of the Simpsons when Moe tries to expand his business by making it a family friendly place called "Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag"
If you like good food, good fun and a whole lot of crap on the wall then come on down to Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag
At Moe's they serve good ol' fashion cooking deep fried. Now that's Moe-like-it! So bring the whole family... or at the very least the ones that work on the Fox Pico Lot. Just no old people, they're not covered by his insurance.
And remember the guarantee, if he's not smiling when your check comes, the meals on Moe! Come to Uncle Moe's for Lunch fun. it's good good good good, good good good
While you wont see Moe come out with a basket of scolding hot fries on his head, you still can get those same fries and enjoy a really tasty lunch. Perhaps the only thing lacking here was the Flaming Moe. But this is in the new building at the studio lot, so perhaps we don't want to burn it down just yet.
It was a really shitty day. I mean, really bad. I'm talking about Rupert Murdoch kicking your dog type of bad day. And the fine folks at Moe's Grill turned it completely around.
Got up to tell the grill master what I needed and he already knew. I guess that means I come here often enough. Saw that I was a little on the dumps and put in extra bacon and cheese on my burger to kick it up a notch.
Much like a good bartender, they get to know your order and make it quickly in front of your face. I wouldn't call them a friend. More like a well-wisher, in that Moe don't wish you any specific harm. But they make one hell of a great burger that can cheer you up. How could you not be happy eating at an Establishment that has sophisticated drawings of the Moe's Tavern Bar regulars on the wall.
Much like Moe's Tavern, you'll go in there with your troubles and by the end of lunch, they'll be floating away with a filled stomach. Besides that, the Grill is located within viewing distance of the New York outdoor sound stage. So you can enjoy your lunch while you look down to a typical New York street block.

Much like Homer, you're going to find me at home at Moe's. But unlike Homer, I wont be drunk.… Read more »
Oh Moe's, as a long time fan of the Simpsons I wasn't sure the namesake eatery would rank as high in food points as comedy points. Then again, there are few times where I've been so happy to be wrong. I don't work at Fox, but have done a lot of freelance work there and have some pals on the payroll too. So many a breakfast, lunch or early dinner have been enjoyed there.
I love that when you walk in the back and even slightly veer to the right you will hear a thick Mexican accent screaming, "what kind of bread?". I also love how off-putting it is to those who weren't expecting it. The cold sandwiches there come stacked high with meat and cheese and that's usually the shorter line too. So that's usually where you'll find me.
However, there are plenty of days where I want something hot off the grill. Quality and freshness are steady benefits there, not to mention you can get anything you want in terms of extras.
My favorite meal at Moe's is sadly the least frequently had; breakfast! Now, prices here are a throwback to cafeteria lunches before I was even in high school. On average, a sandwich w/fries, a salad and a drink all round out to $5.75 (and you thought Rupert was all greed). Breakfast is probably more generous with the servings, significantly cheaper and generally a breeze to get. The omelets are huge and so tasty and come with amazing hash browns. The breakfast burrito is another king-sized treat that I love to eat and you can always make it an adventure my changing out the ingredients. Pancakes are a slight bit better than the french toast if you're ever on the fence.
Moe's is top notch especially considering it caters to a largely captive audience who would not doubt tolerate higher prices, small portions and crappy service over getting to their car and driving off the lot. One thing that always makes me curious when I go there is how they make those cups out of corn.
makes you feel right at home. jumping place. hot girls. a little greasy.
i was a bicycle messenger at one point in century city, but our "office" was located on the fox studios lot. out of the FOUR places to eat lunch there (yes four. you're forgettin' the mark's lunch truck, which is quite delicious)... moe's was the one i frequented the most. the food is well made, big portions, and affordable! a regular lunch @ moes for me wouldn't top $5... my favorite was the "skinny fries" at the end of the grill line. imagine almost double a large order from mcdonalds, but for $1.
in addition, they offer a fox card, which is basically a preloaded food card saving you %10 when used. the great thing about the card is you can acquire a new one on the spot, load it up w/ $, and pay w/ it... all in one standin' w/ the cashiers... hence, there's no difference putting $5 on your card daily while you're in the process of paying, to... pay with. as opposed to putting a $100 to last you the month.
some helpful tips about the food @ fox... if you take lunch at generally the same hour the whole studio takes lunch, you will waste 30 min of your lunch, waiting for your lunch!... the lines for moe's grill usually dwindles down to 5 min around 1:45+. so taking a later lunch is a good idea sometimes. but keep in mind all three establishments stop servin' their hot food around 2:15-2:30.
one more thing. if you're goin to get your lunch on the lot, DO NOT drift back to your cubicle to stuff your face in front of your computer while your roam around on google.... get some fuckin' fresh air and enjoy some time OUTSIDE.... you're in an office or a wannabe office ALL FUCKING DAY.
You can catch me @ Moe's maybe 1-2 times a week.. they got an awesome grill selection where you can request just about anything (grilled onions, mushrooms, avacado, etc) on your burger and you can choose from curly, steak or regular fries, small soup, small salad or onion rings for your side, a pretty good salad bar, soup station, and a deli. And out in the dining area they have a Coffee & Juice Bar where the mocha fraps rivals Starbucks.
The place is VERY clean despite the "F" grade.. you can sit inside in a booth or at a table and watch some TV on 1 of the 2 LCDs, or sit outside @ 1 of the many tables equipped with umbrellas for shade if you like. The only downside to this place is the LOOONNG lines!! Prices are low for the amount and quality of food you get here and compared to the CC mall where a meal will set you back $15 easy.
salad bar and grilled cheese.
The grill menu at Moe's is pretty extensive - and they have some good daily specials. I also really like their deli/sandwich bar and the fact that you can get pressed/heated sandwiches. Their salad bar is also much nicer than the News Cafe's. My favorite offering at Moe's though is their Turkey Chili - exceptional! The problem is though that this place always has the most ridiculous lines at lunch time. You waste half your lunch hour waiting to order your food.
I have been going to Moes for years. It is the staple for the local neighborhood. Great food!
One of the more exciting dining options on the Fox Studio Lot, Moe's provides standard grill fare. Despite its namesake, Moe's does not sell beer, nor is it dirty. In fact, it's modern and very clean. The salad bar and deli selections are a little bit more upscale than other places to eat on the Lot.
