AMAZING! I went in for the 50$ Vespa Facial (first time client) and think the service was fantastic. Josh not only gave me a facial, but also gave me nutrition advice and educated me on what was going on in my skin (not just trying to push products). It started with my laying on a heated detoxification mat, and he also included a light back and shoulder massage (HEAVEN!!). I've never met a person so excited to do extractions, it was like his passion, in the end I left feeling so regenerated and my skin feels amazing - my coworkers complimented my skin the next day! I am recommending this place to ALL my friends and will definitely be back.

Just got back from my waxing appointment with Andrea! It was great!!! And I love the new space. Was with her when she was back at Recharge Spa (I had nothing but good things to say about her when she was there as well) and finally made the switch over to ModVellum. My boyfriend and I haven't seen her since March (but it feels like forever since that was at least two waxings ago) but she still remembers us! The whole process was quick and she made me feel as comfortable as possible. I can't believe that I'm about to say this but I've had a fair share of people who's given me a brazilian and the best experiences have always been with Andrea!
P.S. because of the limited space of ModVellum when clients walk in they don't just walk through the door, they're asked (via email... I didn't get mine case of the short notice of my appointment) to sit outside on the comfy couches and wait til they're asked in (just in case they're with another client) oops!!!
I went here first to check out their promotion ($50 for your first facial). Rachel rocked my socks off - she spent so much time with me, really cleared up my skin, and suggested a skin care line that has changed my skin for the better radically. I have since started going there for waxing, which is also amazing.
This place is so much better for skin care and waxing than anywhere else it's kind of a joke. Super professional, really nice people, and most of all great results.
Andrea is amazing. I've followed her from two other places and I cannot imagine having anyone else touch my brows. My face wouldn't be the same without the brows she has created. I often have people ask where I get my brows done and I immediately suggest that they go to Andrea.
I have also had facials from her and they are better than anyone else I have been to. The products she uses are wonderfully light and leave my skin feeling clean and refreshed.
Super hard to find a good personal services in the marina because there are so many places. Unlike getting your nails done (cheap and who cares if its a bad experience) you can't take a chance with your face!
I just went to ModVellum to see Josh for the first time. They are offering a great deal on first time visitors/standard 90min facial. Incredibly knowledgable, not only was I educated about the technology behind different products etc, I needed not warn him that I had sensitive skin or anything at all he nailed it all right out of the chutes.
Its a super nice, warm, spacious, comfortable environment. I can't wait to go back I feel SUPER.
Okay, okay... So Rachel and Andrea rock, but Josh is a ROCK STAR!!! I started going to Josh when he work out of Purebeauty and followed him to ModVellum ( i still love Purebeauty in Laurel Village). I have total confidence in the treatments/products.
I saw Andrea a few days ago and it was by far the best experience I've ever had getting a bikini wax. If you've ever had a bikini wax you know they are not fun and usually painful. She was very fast and talked to me the whole like it was no bigs that i was laying in an extremely compromising position. She left a neat little triangle. I pretty much went from a jungle to a well manicured golf course in a matter of minutes. Loves!!
