Love, love, love.
Been a member for a couple years now and have done BCC, and Bareboat classes. I charter a boat about once a month too.
This club is phenomenal, people are awesome (thanks Dee and Mollie!), and boats are always in good shape and fun to sail. The rates are great and instructors are fun.
If you've ever wanted to try sailing or join a club, you can't go wrong here. -

I was looking around the Bay area for an opportunity to get a couple of hours sailing in. I'm a relative beginner with a couple of certificates and about 10 days sailing experience, so I really wanted to sail with other experienced people in the bay and get to meet a few new people.
The Wednesday evening 'club sail' seemed to fit the bill, and for $45 I really couldn't go wrong. We took out the catamaran, and Jim the Aussie skipper was friendly and helpful. There were quite a lot of people on-board with varying skill levels and interest in the actual sailing. In the end I was more of a passenger than I'd have liked, but given the circumstances that was to be expected.
If I return to this area, or move here, this would be a club I'd check out. -

Friendly people, nice selection of boats, great access to the Bay. Doesn't get much better than a day of sailing on SF Bay, and whether you're an experienced sailor looking for a boat or a beginning sailor looking for lessons, Modern Sailing is a great resource.

Got my basic keelboat certification through modern, and it was a great experience. I was so fortunate to not only learn how to sail from a great instructor, but got to do it in the beautiful SF bay.
With a student-instructor ratio of just 4 to 1, it was an intimate learning environment. Even though I haven't had many opportunities to sail since taking the class, the class was worth taking just for the experience. -

I just complete the first weekend (2 of 4 classes) toward the Basic Keel Boat cert. Despite some minor administrative scheduling issue (they made it all better), we were assigned a great instructor named Stan who had about a billion years experience (including 20+ years of Coast Guard service). I had questions, but I could not come up with one that Stan could not answer concerning the material or the dozens I threw at him concerning general boating. He knew everything and was patient. He made everyone feel comfortable, and teaches by giving you hands-on experience. If you have a desire to learn sailing, check them out. **Mind you, this is serious stuff -- and you should be prepared for some serious book study as well**

Great sailing club with a good selection of boats at affordable prices and managed by very professional and friendly people. It's a great place to learn to sail and take ASA courses. I have taken many of my friends sailing from this club on day trips and they all loved it. I am very grateful to them for the many sailing adventures in the Bay that I've had in the past year and recommend them.

Got my start there just this Fall with the 1st 2 ASA courses. Great instructor, nice boats and good prices. Also, the staff is very down to earth and friendly. Feels much more like a small club than a high pressure sort of place. I was deciding between here and Club Nautique and I'm very happy with my choice.
