Mixt Greens makes one of the best salads I've ever had in SF! It also makes one of the most expensive salads I've ever paid for (a testimony to how freakin good it is). You will always come here to a ridiculous line between 11:30am - 1pm, but don't let that deter you.
The salads are AWESOME!! Only the freshest ingredients are used and everything is prepared right in front of you. My personal favorite is the Maui - Butter lettuce, coriander-crusted seared ahi tuna, avocado, mango, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, mango citrus vinaigrette, topped with crushed macadamia nuts. Yes, this is a $13 salad and it's worth it! The portions are pretty solid and I usually can't finish the entire thing in one sitting. The sandwiches are decent, but the salads are defiantly what keeps people coming back. This place is totally worth 5-stars, but I have to admit - the prices are on the higher end (even for FiDi standards) so -1 star . -

Place has a long line during lunchtime, but worth the wait. You can order their specialty salad or build your own for about $8.
Such a variety...spinach, romaine hearts, red leaf, mixed greens, etc. you can order steak, tuna, chicken, yumm!
if you don't feel like a salad you can always grab a sandwich, they looked delicious, will have to try soon. -

There's a site called Yelp. Have you heard of it? No? People go on it to look up junk in their city. Restaurants, divorce lawyers, hamster pallbearers, etc. Crazy, I know. Now grapple with his fact as you pick your jaw up off the ground, people write the reviews!
So, for Yelp I've decided to write about this place called Mixt Greens. Their salads are so good apparently that a co-worker once found a scarab (Phyllophaga) in her salad and continuous to eat there almost everyday!!
Admittedly, she asked for her money back and they said no. She asked for a different salad. They said Nope! She asked for an apology... HELL NO, YOU STUPID @#%$@#!!! Ok, maybe they didn't say that last one, but they may as well have.
I decided I had to try one from myself. They way people talk about their salads it's as if they should all come with an extra spoon--not to eat your salad with, but to have something to hold over your tongue when you're having a flavor seizure.
The only thing I knew about Mixt Greens beforehand is that they're expensive as Hell and that's considering similar Finical District grass (not that grass) dispensaries. Me being of the 99%...for now, decided on a cowboy salad--I liked it. I liked it a lot. I liked it so much I got another salad there, the madison. I liked that one too.
I eat there on occasion, but that's about as much as I can do. Paying $12 for salads isn't really my thing. They're pretty good, but so are the salads at Togo's and they're only about $7. If Togo's wasn't so far from my job I'd go there more often. The salads at the SF Soup Co. are pretty good too, though they're pretty tight fisted with the chicken. McDonald's salads, forget that!
When I get there it's about eleven-ish. Anything after noon and the line starts to stretch out around the corner, and honestly, if you're willing to wait in that line for a salad you deserve to get slapped with a wet fish.
Anyway, good salads for people with no lunch budget. xD -

Excellent food - very healthy, fresh and tasty. However, when I spend almost $14 on a salad, I expect the lettuce to be bite-sized; I don't want to have to rip my lettuce (further prep my food)... might as well go to the Farmers Market and make my own salad! So, when I am unable to do so, I sometimes deal. The service is otherwise good; they get you in and out pretty quickly and they're super friendly. I do wish they would take phone orders; their line is always super long (out the door - even at 2 p.m.)!

Good hefty portions, yummy but overpriced (IMO). Also way crowded so make sure you have some time on your lunch break!

Once you wrap your head around a $10 salad or sandwich, this is definitely one of the best spots for lunch in Fidi. They have the freshest ingredients and quite a jaw dropping variety of toppings. (Seriously, who keeps hearts of palm, quinoa, fennel, golden beets, etc??)
If you want to make sure this stays healthy, go light on the dressing (they squeeze a lot on the regular portion if you ask me). -

My recent annual physical exam scores informed me that I am a glowing picture of health. Whew! *Wiping sweat off my forehead.*
It is not like I had any problems in the past but eating that occasional pork sisig has made me developed this irrational fear that I now have a cardiac problem and will be having a heart attack soon while walking around downtown.
Then I had this vision of "Walking Dead" with the homeless people feasting on my body on Market Street. Well, maybe they will be more interested in the contents of my purse. *Shivers* http://www.amctv.com/s...
My scores inspire me to do even better next physical exam. And I promise myself to eat salad for lunch at least 2x a week.
Thanks to Mixt Greens, with their delicious salad menu, I am hopeful that I will be able to attain my goal.
HOW TO ORDER:
Mixt Greens' CUSTOM SALADS are the easiest for me.
1. Choose what salad you want.
2. Tell the staff if you want light/med/heavy dressing.
3 The staff will make your salad food-line style twisting and turning the bowl and tongs. They do work hard!
4. Mention if you want the free bread or not.
5 Move up the line then pay.
CREATE YOUR OWN vs CUSTOM MADE:
Or you can pick and choose from the extensive salad items to CREATE YOUR OWN SALAD. That is too overwhelming for me I won't even try to explain how it works. So I stick with the CUSTOM MADE TO ORDER SALAD.
And I have tried the following:
1st VISIT: 4.5 Stars http://www.yelp.com/bi...
COWBOY: romaine hearts, GRILLED CHICKEN, roasted red peppers, black beans, sharp cheddar, red onion, POINT REYES BLUE CHEESE DRESSING with a CHIPOTLE HONEY DRIZZLE.
*I thought it was sexy to say "Can I have a Cowboy to go please?" LOL! I did not expect to like this salad because I do not like chicken but this was delicious! The blue cheese dressing and chipotle honey drizzle created a nice complex savory-sweet combination of flavors that enveloped all the ingredients.
2nd VISIT: 3 Stars http://www.yelp.com/bi...
MAUI ($11.95): CORIANDER-CRUSTED AHI TUNA, MANGO, butter lettuce, avocado, mango, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, MANGO CITRUS vinaigrette, topped with crushed macadamia nuts
*The mere thought of ahi tuna has made me drool for days until I finally tried the Maui. I was disappointed! 3 thin-strips of tuna which were fresh. But the whole salad was bland and so simple. The ingredients did not jive together. Maybe it needed more dressing.
3RD VISIT: 3 Stars http://www.yelp.com/bi...
SIAM ($7.95 + $1 TOFU): MANGO, GREEN PAPAYA, jicama, greens, spicy peanuts, THAI LEMON vinaigrette.
* At this point I was just confused. Why are my salads bland?! It was lacking in complex flavors of the peanuts, mango, etc. combo. Just tangy! I am starting to suspect that the same guy who made my Maui and Siam has not been putting enough dressings.
4TH VISIT: 4 Stars http://www.yelp.com/bi...
MADISON: $10.95 mixt greens, GRILLED CHICKEN, asparagus, roasted white truffle POTATOES, shaved parmesan, toasted pumpkin seeds, whole grain mustard vinaigrette
*This salad got MIxt Greens out of the proverbial "It's okay" status. Love it! They ran out of potatoes and asparagus but I was allowed to substitite them with beets, edamame and zucchini. Very flavorful and filling. The pumpkins seeds added a nice texture and flavors.
OTHER SALADS:
There are more but I'll pass--since I am not a fan of Cobb and Cesar's. The Bachelor has steak in it so I'll pass for now. My last salad ot try is the Dagwood with the portabella.
OVERALL:
*Good-quality eco-delicious-tasting salad.
*MIght appear pricey but big portions. Guaranteed to satisfy!
*Great for jump-starting a healthy diet.
*Long-lines! Be prepared to wait.
*Nice loft-like space to eat your salad but the people in line will be hovering over you while waiting.
*They run out of ingredients around 12:30 pm--so be flexible with the substitutions.
*Loud upbeat music and super-friendly staff.
Just like the gyms full of people whose NY's resolution is to lose weight, I wonder if Mixt Greens would be pack at the beginning of 2012?
You are welcome.

I wish there wasn't always such a long line here at lunch but the fact that people will wait says something about their salads. They are delicious. The Cobb is my current favorite.

YUM! This is always a go-to lunch spot for me. I work very close to this new location, and run over [before the rush] during lunch time. I would say, it is good to get here around 11:45 if you don't want to wait in a line out the door. However! Even if the line is out the door, it moves pretty quick.
Food: it is always fresh here! They have many different toppings/ingredients that you can choose from, and they even bring out a lot of seasonal toppings. mmmm! My favorite salad is the Dagwood, take out the mushrooms and croutons, add cucmber, tofu, and avocado, light dressing.
Service: The guys who make your salad are always friendly and nice while they make your lunch. They are also super fast! :)
Ambiance: I really liked the location on Mission, but this location is better simply because it is bigger and has lots of room for people to sit inside or outside and enjoy lunch.
Mixt Greens is also very environmentally friendly, which is a plus! I think I might just go here tomorrow! -

I work very close to this place so I find myself coming here pretty often. It's awesome. I noticed that most of the reviews on here talk about salads, and they have great salads, but their sandwiches are awesome as well. Price is not bad at all for the financial district- if you stick to the menu, it'll be about $10, which is great for a healthy meal. And the portions are quite large.
The reason I took off one star is for two reasons. First, I found a piece of tree branch in my salad once. If I didn't like this place as much as I do, I probably would make a bigger deal out of this.
The other complaint I have is online ordering!! I wasted 5 minutes of my time creating an account only to find out that you have to place your order a day in advance and there's a $30 minimum for individual orders! There should be a disclosure on this before people waste their time to create an account!! I want my 5 minutes back!!! -

This place is soo delicious! It was my first time actually eating there, my company usually orders food from there so i decided to try it today. and it was amazing. I had the cowboy salad that one of the employees suggested and what a great suggestion it was!. Its so fresh and you can tell theres no perservatives that go into making it.. What i especially loved though was that they make it right infront fo you so you know all of the things that are going into it. This is great for people who are really healthy consicous but would love something that has taste instead of just eating leaves.
The staff was is so nice and they seem really genuine on helping you out.. I would recommend this place to anyone!!! :] -
Review from Delwin L.
San Jose, CA
First things first: holy crap, these are just about the most expensive salads I've ever had. Caesar salad doesn't come with chicken (wut!?) so a chicken add-on is another $2 = about $12ish for a salad. Add on a drink or a bag of chips and voila, you're looking at nearly $15 for about 600 calories worth of food. My goodness.
But I have to admit: their salads are really good. People working there are nice, but the selling point has to be their ingredients. They have almost every ingredient (and fresh!) you could think of. I've tried a few of their salads and some of their sandwiches, but the Caesar is what keeps me coming back. Love the way it's tossed, and it somehow manages to fill up my stomach which almost never happens with salads. Sandwiches are so-so, tasty but not quite filling.
Lines are long and move at a decent speed, but I still usually prefer to either go in early or late. -
Review from Rachel E.
San Francisco, CA
I've noticed that I forget to Yelp places I visit all the time. Mixt Greens is definitely one of those places.
The ingredients are always top quality, and the people who work here are super friendly.
I almost always get the Maui salad or the Siam with tofu off the pre-made menu (as a bonus these are often available ready to go in the fridge by the door). The make-your-own options can be a little overwhelming for me. However, I recently printed their menu off the website and highlighted some combinations for future visits. (Despite their goodness, these two options do get old.)
Prices are a little steep, more expensive than similar places in the area, but in this case I think you get what you pay for. And yes, the line is consistently REALLY long. Sometimes going early or late works.
I wish they would allow you to order just the 1 salad online. Right now you can only order online if you want at least $30 worth of food. -
Review from Carla B.
Guess I was expecting greatness. True enough I took one look at the line and decided to get one of the pre-made salads. My cobb salad was okay, but nothing like the ones I've had at similar establishments, such as Chop'd in NYC or Tender Greens in L.A.
Maybe next time I'll deal with the line and get a salad of my own design and see if that makes a difference. -

Portland, OR
I'm from Portland and would love to see a Mixt Greens up there. I always make it a point to come here for lunch whenever i'm in town for work. While this place always has a long line during lunch time, the line moves so quickly because the "salad artists" are so quick and efficient at creating and mixing your salads. The ingredients are always very fresh which makes me a happy customer!
I always get the Mixt Cobb ($9.95): butter lettuce, grilled chicken, blue cheese, avocado, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, egg, applewood smoked bacon, mixt vinaigrette. Instead of the mixt viniagrette, i ask for a mix of balsamic viniagrette and honey mustard. Try it. you'll love it. It's slightly sweet and tangy. yum!
If you're in the mood for a great tasting, yet still healthy and flavorful salad, head to Mixt. You won't be sorry! -
Review from Zoey S.
I really, really like this place. I don't know why the idea of an almost entirely salad based lunch place isn't more popular and common. Fresh, versitile, and colorful, these salads contain all that they should! If you want lots of toppings expect a pretty expensive lunch, but know that portions are large so pricing is worth it.
Not only is the food good, but the service is GREAT. All of the employees are friendly beyond belief and extremely skilled at making a good salad quickly. Beware of the lunch rush! If, however, you're craving a salad and you see a line out the door, fret not, it moves very quickly. -

I'll occasionally treat myself to a Mixt Greens salad. Their ingredients are high quality and b/c of that, you're definitely paying for it. Their salads range from $9-$12.
I personally like to design my own which STARTs at $8 but because I like a lot of staples, my salad ends up to be about $10-12.
Lines really do get long (out the door) so I suggest going before 11:45a or after 1p. It gets pretty loud and is a tight squeeze between tables (if crowded) but the greens are fresh, the taste is good and the portions are pretty big and filling. -

Very high quality ingredients, reasonably priced salads make it a downtown go-to.
The lines are a little long, but that's no surprise given all the 5 star reviews here.
Comparing this place to Plutos is crazy. If you don't care about quality, then please go to pluto's and make the line shorter...
For all the Yelpers complaining about price, it is cheaper that ordering off the dollar menu at mickey d's and then paying for lifestime of diabetes and heart disease -
Review from Eric M.
What a great idea for a restaurant - catering to the salad crowd with a variety of delicious options ranging from veggie-filled to marinated chicken delights. This place is a couple blocks away and fills up very quickly at lunchtime (the line was out the door, and then some).
Pricing is a bit high for my taste, especially for the veggie options. The food is delicious and the establishment is very environmentally conscious (compost bins, biodegradable containers) though, so that's worth a star alone. -
Review from Jamie M.
Alameda, CA
I'm really somewhere between a 3 and a 4 on this one. Here's why:
Mixt Greens is one of those places you just feel healthier walking into. It is, of course, a place devoted primarily to the custom salad.
At lunchtime in Fidi, the line is usually out the door. They do have these beautiful pitchers of water with cucumber for those waiting in line to quench their thirst. I just love it when restaurants do this! But since, i'm no fan of lines, I often come here and turn around when I see the length of the line.
But on those days when I do make it, the salads are always fresh. Even more impressive than the food is the staff--always super friendly. Mixt Greens has a really positive atmosphere with fun employees. And I think that's definitely a plus. I usually walk out with a smile.
Even though the salads are tasty, I think the cost-value ratio is a bit off at Mixt Greens. If I ended up getting what I really wanted on my salad, it would probably cost $20-$25. So, I just pick a few toppings and spend about $14 or $15 on a salad--which means I never get the salad I really want and still feel like I spent a lot on take out lunch.
That being said--the food is good, the staff is friendly, and they have lovely cucumber water for patrons to enjoy--Which makes it an A-OK place for lunch. -
Review from Rachel G.
New York, NY
I really wanted to like this place. Having worked in midtown New York for 2 years, I would say that I'm quite familiar with the choose-your-ingredients-style salad bar. This place didn't do much to make me want to return, and I have certainly had better.
I went at 1:30 on a Friday. The line was around 12 people long, which I didn't think was that bad since they had 4 people assembling salads behind the counter. 20 minutes later when I finally reached the front and ordered, the salad-tosser was quite gruff. He mumbled something that sounded like "Which dressing?" and I must have looked puzzled because he said it again. I remained puzzled, since I had already ordered one of their menu salads that comes with a certain dressing. Finally, he said "HOW MUCH DRESSING?!" Service with a smile, bro!
I ordered the SIam and added the marinated tofu. The only flavor I tasted was spicy peanut. This is probably because the vegetables/fruits the salad comes with are shredded extremely finely, and the salad contains 10-12 tiny shreds of each ingredient. Literally, my 6-7 ingredient salad was 85% lettuce. I got tired of eating it since it was so much work to try to devise bites that weren't all lettuce.
Other reviewers have claimed that the price is justified because of the "high-quality ingredients." Maybe, but I wonder how they are able to ascertain the quality of the ingredients without being able to taste them (or even find them amid the lettuce). At $10+, I would rather take my money elsewhere. -
Review from Elaine N.
I have probably passed by this place a hundred times over the past few months. I remember all the times I've walked by, stared into the tinted windows, and didn't look back because of the ridiculously long lines that always stretched out the door.
About two weeks ago, I set a goal to eat healthy for seven consecutive business days. To me, healthy only extended to a strawberry a day. Sometimes, I'll succumb to my doctor's orders and eat a piece of lettuce along with it. "Life of happiness or life of pain," she says. However, her attempts of contrasting (the effects of) healthy vs. unhealthy eating seems to be the complete opposite of mine.
Her: Eat healthy=live long, be healthy and disease-free.
Me: Eat healthy=live long, be miserable and eat shitty food.
I failed miserably. It took me twice as long to make seven. I'm a failure. Sadface.
So far, I've had the Mixt Cobb, Madison, Dagwood, and Disco (sandwich). I have found myself happiest with the Cobb, feta instead of bleu, please. On days when they run out of butter lettuce-- which is any day you arrive after 1pm, I'll get me a Madison. Yummy truffled potatoes!
The Dagwood, I don't like. Overpowering mushrooms and mushroom liquid and blegh. Too much, too much.
I always, always grab a green tea Arnold Palmer as I chat with the friendly cashiers. They're friendly, and cool, and will remember you (along with whatever book you're reading).
Probably not the ideal place for a sandwich, but still decent stuffs.
All in all, I'm glad I found Mixt Greens. Being healthy doesn't have to mean turning into "le miserable", yay!Listed in: FiDiliciousness

I Love Mixt Greens! The only thing that would make them better was if they made another location in Russian Hill or Marina..
Yes, it's not cheap. If you want cheap go to Specialty's and get their salads made with canned vegetables. yuck. Mixt green's corn is bursting with sweetness, its jicama crunchy and juicy, their cucumber crisp and fresh.. you get the idea. Organic is more money since it's more labor intensive and of a higher caliber- but it's better for you and it has more nutrients!
This is the place that turned a girl who used to hate the word "salads" into a salad LOVER. I have tried more than a few, but honestly once I found the bachelor I haven't tried another since.
***YUM!. The Bachelor: mixt greens, grilled prime flat iron, blue cheese, herb roasted potatoes, cherry tomatoes, balsamic vinaigrette, topped with caramelized onions.
It's the perfect mix of 'healthy' and emotional satisfaction. Get light on dressing tho, especially if you want to watch for the calories because it's definitely not your 'diet' salad!
It's organic, sustainable, eco-friendly and they even give their managers a membership to Equinox across the street! -

Carbs are my ENEMY. My alternative "simple carbs" - SALAD. I stumble upon Mixt Greens just walking around looking for lunch options. I was curious to know why the LINE was freaking out the door. Everything is fresh and key word - CLEAN ambiance.
I love their custom salads! My fav is the MAUI (but on a bed of mix greens; I hate butter lettuce too watery) comes with seared ahi tuna, mangos, avocados, tomatoes, onions, and macadamia nuts. So good and the dressing is a mango vinaigrette. Always get dressing on the side bc the salad is HUGE. In a freaking tub. No wonder they charge $12 bucks for it!
I suggest the "ROOSTER" sandwich on a roll. Bc the foccacia is way too thick = CARBS the enemy! This sandwich is unique bc it has apples in it. Weird but balances with the grill chicken, pesto, fontina cheese and garlic aioli.
A+ for the speed but at times the line can be intimating. Also, whatever you order again will taste exactly like the first time you tried it. I applaud the CONSISTENCY ^_^
So good but so expensive. Make sure you get a stamp card too. 10 stamps = 1 free salad :) I am a fan! -

Everything looks so delicious but the sheer size of these things are overwhelming and I know that it's all sustainable/organic/local but the prices are outrageous. I paid $13 for a salad that could feed 3 people but ended up throwing most of it because it was too much.
The maui is pretty good but split it if you can... The guac was a little bland, the mango strips were delicious. Tuna was what you'd expect from a lunch place...
I'd much rather get a half salad. Did I mention $13 is ridiculous for a to go salad? -

This place gets written about enough here, I'm sure. So let me add my unique take:
This place is missing seasoning. A little salt and pepper. A little lemon pepper. The dressings are so busy being special and getting out of the way of the (admittedly good) green goods that they don't offer any definitive flavor of their own.
But the salads are still solid. The meats are solid. It's _good_. I just want a little something extra. -

After a summer of working in FiDi, I have to downgrade Mixt Greens. The place is the same, but the cost is adding up, especially when nearby places are $3-4 cheaper and twice as quick for service.

I love Mixt Greens. The quality of the ingredients is superb and everything is delicious. My favorite salad is the Dogwood. I love that they go light on the dressing if you ask (and it really is light on the dressing, which isn't always true of other places you ask!)
Yes, $10-$11 for a salad is a little ridiculous, but if you're craving something fresh and healthy, this hits the spot.
My only complaint is that the wait is always absurdly long so I tend to only go here if I'm hungry for a really early or really late lunch. -
Review from Elaine L.
Pacifica, CA
My first visit today and the person who helped me with my salad was really friendly and helpful. Loved his energy. I got there before the lunch crowd hit and witnessed how long the lines get on a warm day.
I had the Maui Salad with Ahi Tuna and could not finish the entire salad. The salad was around $10 but the portions are huge. I was satisfied.
I like The Plant a little better but I will definitely come back to Mixt Greens for lunch. -
Review from Shannon L.
Fremont, CA
I've always seen my coworkers get these gigantic salads, and thinking to myself, "wow, they really are gigantic... it's as if you bought a family sized bucket of greens from the grocery store and are eating straight out of it."
I'm not a salad fanatic by any means. I don't get the point of eating this stuff without the sole reason being obligation to your body's health. And I cannot believe how outrageously long the lines were! The have some of their pre-set, already put together salads in the fridge for you to grab and go but then you don't get the joy of customizing it.
I decided to get a primarily savory salad, the Cowboy. Romaine hearts, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, black beans, shaved provolone (replacing sharp cheddar), caramelized onions (replacing red onions), point reyes blue cheese dressing with a chipotle honey drizzle. At first, I was wondering why there was a dressing and a drizzle.... Overkill? But the drizzle goes primarily over the roasted chicken which actually needs it--it tastes like sweet chili sauce from the Asian market.
It's pretty good. It's better than the Pluto's salad chain but not better than Sprout Café in Palo Alto. You can tell that because of the lunch rush, the employees toss these salads as if their life depended on it and I do believe a salad can be over tossed. People think blue cheese is normally strong and overpowering but this was moderate. Everything else was OK... the grilled chicken was dry, the red peppers and onions were a little mushy, etc. Even then, I don't think it'll stop me from returning because it makes me FEEL healthy.
FYI, I did read online that The Cowboy has 578 calories and 34 grams of fat (http://www.livestrong....).
The reason why these are so big is because you can't realistically fill yourself up on lunch with anything less. Salads are all water so you really need something that you can keep you going for the next 6+ hours of work ahead of you. -

Always a line, but always worth the wait. This place is always a hit with me (granted, a little pricey for a "salad" but completely reasonable for a meal - which is what their salads are). Despite the constant line, the staff is always friendly and laid-back. Because of the line, this isn't a great choice for a quick bite but, if you have some extra minutes, it is definitely a winning choice. We recently had them cater a training at the office - it could not have been a bigger hit!

This is the second Mixt Greens I've visited.
I've been to the other Sansome location numerous times.
Every single time, the food has been fresh and amazing. The quality of the ingredients is impeccable. This Mixt Greens does not have outdoor seating. But it is incredibly close to my new office.
The staff was not quite as perky as at the other Mixt Greens in the 400's on Sansome. But, then again, I did drop in at 2:59 when they close at 3:00 and they did not complain at all. They were not even rushing to close the doors.
This time I had the:

grilled chicken, sliced apple, fontina cheese, basil pesto, mixt greens, aïoli, on an herb slab
Mmmmm, mmm, good. A chicken sandwich with crispy apple slices. Now that is pretty righteous. I am not even a salad lover and I really dig their side of fresh mixed greens. It is such a great lunch.

I will be back many times. If you want to stalk me, this would probably be a pretty good place to start.
Next up is their seasonal Vietnamese Sub. -

I love Mixt Greens. I used to come here weekly, until I realized I shouldn't be spending $15 for a salad on a weekly basis. The lines get very long, so come early or come late. But they go pretty fast so don't be too daunted (unless the line is wrapped around the corner). My favorite is the Maui Salad, as I am obsessed with ahi tuna. Their cookies are also pretty good. Although, if I had to choose I'd pick Pluto's over Mixt Greens. If only they were in the FiDi!

Overpriced, crowded, and a little too trendy for my taste, but the day I gave in was the day I got hooked.
The MADISON SALAD is fantastic! - mixed greens, pumpkin seeds, truffle oil potatoes, and grilled chicken breast pieces (which I usually substitute out for turkey) - - can't find this kind of salad anywhere else in the FiDi.Listed in: Lunch in the Financial…

Tasty, refreshing salads. I got the caesar salad with grilled chicken and anchovies, and they added a fluffy slice of pita bread on the side. Who would have thought anchovies would taste so good in salads? The combination of flavors was delicious. The portions are huge, and the salads are so fresh that you feel very healthy after eating one.

I LOVE these salads! The meatloaf sandwich AMAZING!!!
I love that as busy as this place is at lunch time these guys ( I almost never see women working here...hmmm) they will still make special adjustments for you if you ask nicely. I get the meatloaf with roasted red pepper instead of tomato and side Cesar instead of greens (too bitter).
They have a punch card if you ask for it & once you get 10 salads you get 1 free. Considering you pay $10 for a salad (granted it's HUGE and I can make 2 meals of it, still $10) it's nice :)
I respect the sustainability base of this business, compostable containers (they look like plastic but they're corn :D) and organic seasonal/local food.
Plus all the locations are built as green as can be, (seriously check it out http://mixtgreens.com/...) this makes the $10 price easier to swallow ;)
I eat here a few times a month as a treat to myself (I'm not in finance and cant' afford $50 a week for lunch) and when I do I savor this delectable lunch!
