I took a few yoga classes here and really enjoyed it. I even talked my husband into going to a class with me and he was impressed that "yoga can actually be a workout". He was definitely feeling the burn ;) Lesa was wondeful. She was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. The studio is extremely clean and super cute too. The prices are so reasonable (especially when you consider the extra attention you get because of the small setting). They even have great class packages.
If you want a workout that's different (check out all the classes they provide on their website) and a little more one-on-one than the gym, give MIX a try! -

Fantastic place to get in shape. I danced a million years ago, and then I got pregnant. Then I had a baby. Then my baby turned into a toddler and holy crap I haven't exercised in over a year.
I found this place on one of my walks and was intrigued but also intimidated because every time I go to a new place I'm afraid that people will judge. That is not at all the case here. Lesa is incredibly friendly and her good nature attracts the same people because everyone in her class was just as friendly and helpful.
As for the class itself, I DEFINITELY felt the burn, and am still feeling it two days later. It was easy to follow but effective. I love that she has class payment options to suit your needs or a very reasonable drop in rate. Can't wait for my next class!!!! -

I'm the first to admit that I'm barely a slight whisper of the dancer I used to be. It's been years since I lived in an injury free, flexible body with a fast metabolism and well turned-out hips.
So of course, anytime I consider picking up a dance class at a studio, I fear walking into a room of a dozen 16-year old clones doing fouettés so well-timed, even their ponytails whip around in sync.
Not the case at here.
First let me say, Lesa is amazing. You meet her and want to be her friend. (You also want to do whatever it is she's doing to look exactly like her!) She's got an incredible energy and peace about her that makes you want to call this studio home.
The space. It's small. And its location is a little unexpected... but it's just perfect. Inside, it's beautiful. Great floors (which is the most important thing), great air circulation, barres, mirrors, yoga supplies... you name it- she's got it.
I took the MIX class. This is Lesa's own creation- a nice little fusion of ballet, yoga, pilates, and legit core work. It kicks your butt in an unexpected way- challenging balance and flexibility, while finding those tiny forgotten muscles and reminding them it's time to pull some weight.
Can't recommend this place enough. If I lived in San Diego, I'd be here everyday! -

I've taken one abs class & yoga class here. I really like the small personal atmosphere and you don't feel so silly if you're not as in shape as you wish. Lesa seems very sweet and gives a great work out.

Started taking a few classes enjoyed it very much. I cannot wait to take more and get in shape. The trainer is very friendly and gives a challenging workout. I felt the burn and after yoga my body relaxed and felt disconnected. This is a great studio, i want to take some of friends so they can check it out. I loved the mix technique, all the exercises change so its not the same boring old thing. I had done pilates for a while and was very excited to know they combine all these things.

I love this place. The workouts are great and the yoga practice is refreshing and a workout. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I love both the yoga and the mix technique class. Really enjoy going here.

Lesa is a great teacher. I love going to her classes and getting a good work out. She's also really funny and listens to her students. Usually the classes are really small so you can get personal attention. I haven't been to Eric's bootcamp classes yet...we'll see if I can get in good enough shape for that.
I have no dance experience and always wanted to do some dance, so I started taking Lesa's Mix class to learn some ballet moves. I really enjoy it and like that Lesa slowly incorporates more advanced movements into the class as you continue going to class.
It's also nice to take the Mix class because most of the women who take the classes are not really young, skinny girls that have not been disappointed by age and slowing metabolisms. We're women who are taking the class for fun and to get in better shape. So when we screw something up, it doesn't matter and usually results in a bout of laughter from everyone.
Lesa's yoga classes are also very good. AND she has a "Wine Down" once a month for those over 21 (had to add that in, cause she checks IDs)!
A Saturday night of calm yoga followed by some wine (included in the class cost). Um, that seals the deal for me!
The studio is small and kind of hard to see off of El Cajon BLVD. It's right between the Tribal Hut and Barkindales. Just look for the 7-11..it's across the street. -

Mix is such an amazing, very friendly place. Not like your typical gym or exercise studio. I felt comfortable right away and none of the pressure that always seems to be present at other places.
Lesa is super knowledgeable and works with you to get the results you want.
This is exactly the place I have been looking for for years! -

I attended Lesa's Eclectic yoga class with the free coupon and no one else showed up. She treated me to a session anyway and I loved it! Lesa is so encouraging and has great energy in her practice. The yoga studio is impeccably clean and beautiful. There are no showers but there is a restroom if you do need to change afterward. The next time I went with a friend and again, were the only students there. We got a great personal session and Lesa asked us what we wanted to focus on. The first class is free so you should at least check it out.

Okay, seriously, I am so awkward and was not in great shape. I started taking classes at Mix in August and have really seen results. I am getting back into shape and I feel great. I always felt that "regular" exercise was boring and Lesa changed all of that for me. I genuinely enjoy the classes and have made new friends in the process. I go as often as I can and I love every minute! Two thumbs way way up!

OK, I was a "newbie" to yoga, and now credit Lesa with opening up a new world. She's a great instructor, encourages more than ones best in a gentle manner, and is definitely teaches with warmth and compassion. Her classes absolutely are as good as it gets, and if you haven't had the pleasure of working with her: What are you waiting for?..... there's something for everyone. You'll be amazed how wonderful you feel once you develop a routine. What's even more outstanding is the fact that Lesa also has a class for children. Lesa offers classes six-days a week, and the hours accommodate anyone with a full-time employ or student. Actually, there's no reason not to take a class at MIX. Check it out; you'll be glad you did!
