Consistent and casual, this is a branch of a chain but given the locale one still feels like this is more of a local place, but I could be wrong. Maybe they get tourists in the summer? My last visit was on a quite September morning, though my family used to stop here on the way to a bakery in Oak Harbor which is sadly now no longer.
The whole grain pancakes were so enormous and filling I shamefully could not eat them all even with an enormous appetite. I've only been here for breakfast and the menu is full of what one would expect in terms of breakfast. Its all done well, otherwise we wouldn't keep coming back. -

I don't really know what to say about Mitzel's. I sort of feel like it's essentially a lesser-known Denny's or Shari's. The food, service, and atmosphere are the same as what you would expect at either of those two places.
The food is edible and decent, though certainly nothing great. The service is slow, yet accurate. The atmosphere is kind of non-existent.
We probably hit this place once a year on our way to the Coupeville Arts & Crafts Festival. It's fine for that once a year visit with my family, but I wouldn't go any more often than that... -

YUM, YUM, YUM...............
My sister lived in Oak Harbor for a few years, and when I would visit her...we would always go there for a good hearty breakfast. Good food, PERIOD.....order anything on the menu....you cant go wrong -
