If you plan to explore the Olympic National Park and need a place to stay, I definately would recommend this place. This is my second time staying in a bed and breakfast inn and so far it's the best! This inn is actually a house owned by a couple and run by them. It is not a fancy type of hotel or new but it definately makes you feel like you're visiting a relative/family.
They have four rooms only made into a certain theme like the French Room, Irish Room, English Room, and Dutch Room . The rooms are clean, comfy, and cute. There is no television in any of the rooms but there are plenty of books in the living room and hallway you can pick up to read. The walls are not thick therefore you can hear other people around you.
Then the food they serve you was beyond wonderful. Every night someone comes to ask you what time you want to be woken up and what drink you want at that time (coffe, tea, hot chocolate, etc). Then they ask you what time you want breakfast and what food you want. The food they serve are HUGE! Including the dish you ordered, they give you some hot fresh muffins and some type of cooked fruit with cinnamon and whipped cream. If you can't finish it, you can bag it for a snack later; which is very handy since there's difficulty finding good food anywhere around Forks, WA. Out in the dining room, there is a section where they have brownies, cake, cookies, tea, etc that you can feel free to grab whenever you want.
Besides the food and room, the view in their backyard is amazing! Everything was great during my stay and the owners were very friendly and generous. When I left, they even asked me if I wanted to bring some snacks for my trip out. If you're looking for a lot of privacy though, I wouldn't recommend this place but other than that, it's an A++++ place! DEFINATELY COME HERE!! =) I know I would if I visit the Olympic National Park again!
My husband and I have stayed at a few B&Bs...this one takes the cake!! Great location!! Easy to find! The Inn is beautiful!! We stayed in the English Room it was clean, bed was great, walls were thin. The hostess, Echo was fabulous!! Breakfast were HUGE!!! And delicious!! We would eat in the morning and be full until dinner. With all the hiking that is around you need your strength!! Also Echo was very helpful with places to go and see. But one week wasn't enough time to see the Olympic Peninsula :( ....when we do come back it will be here at the Misty Valley Inn Bed & Breakfast for sure!!
