Misti is the best, she knows just how to make you look good and her photo's are AMAZING! She has a great style and can catch some really cool candid shots, things that you just wouldn't see from other photographers. At our wedding we know that she was there but we didn't really see her and from the number of photos that we have she was all over the place. There is no other photographer in the Bay Area that I would hire, she will even tell you how to stand to shed a few pounds when taking a picture. We were confident that every shot was a keeper and were proved right when we got our proofs.

I was not looking forward to getting a professional photo done but Misti made it painless. She took the pictures out in the neighborhood which made them more unique and less boring.
I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Misti is amazing! I have known Misti for a number of years and by far she is easy to work with, very talented and professional. She is an asset to the hospitality industry. Recently, she photographed the 25th Bay Area Wedding Network Event and with all the action happening I know it was challenging and also a lot of fun for her. She was able to get some amazing shots and we didn't even know she was doing it. I always like how she has a low profile with high profile quality in her work. If you are looking for an outstanding photographer, Misti is a must. Thank you Misti for all your support with our events.

Can I just write another raving review about this fabulous chick?! She photographed our private (as NO guests) City Hall ceremony recently. We asked her to do all black & whites and have some artistic fun. We haven't seen the proofs yet, but loved the actual experience. If we lived in SF, she's on the A list for good people we'd like to keep up with! We have no doubt the end results will be exactly as we imagined. Use her talents - she's worth every cent!
Misti was an essential player in one of the most important days of my life-my wedding.
She was very easy going, always had a smile on her face and was extremely easy to work with. She respected my wishes each step of the way and did her best to capture all the moments that not only I thought was a must but also took many candid images that were fun to look through once we received the photos.

Misti Layne, is by far "the premiere" wedding photographer extraordinaire of the bay area. When my husband and I met her @ the Ritz Carlton's bridal fiare, we were instantly hooked. Her style, attention to detail and willingness to accomodate were features that any bride wants to make her day incredibly fantastic. Not only that, she really "listens" to you and your fiance about your hopes and dreams and somehow magically captures it all on film. Incredible!!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services to anyone.
She captured the essence and beauty of our day and made it all seem magical. It's simply amazing, she was just like any other guests, making everyone comfortable and at ease. Our photos are full of photo ops that can only be captured by a professional...there were even a few of my guests wondering if I even had a photographer, that;s how awesome her service and style are...she just blends right in, and you're posing w/out even knowing...naturally, those pics are the best! ;-)
Thanks Misti, it' was a blast...love the fact that you had my stylist constantly refresh my makeup when necessary and your recommendaiton of the DJ was also incredible...we'll definitely call you when we get ready to renew our vows!

Misti does wonderful work. She knows how to make people relaxed and almost forget they're being photographed.
She did an excellent job photographing me and my daughter by capturing the essence of our spirits and close bond. Misti rocks!!
It was less than 2 weeks until my wedding and the family friend who was doing our photography came down severely ill and would no longer be able to photograph my wedding. I frantically searched for photographers in the area and found Misti Layne. After explaining my situation, she was very sympathetic and wanted to help us out in any way she could. I couldn't have been more thrilled, not only is Misti a WONDERFUL photographer, but she has that fun, funky, candid style of photography that my fiancee and I love. The day of the wedding, she arrived right on time (if not early) and got straight to work. She was so casual and non-evasive, my guests, my fiancee and I hardly knew she was there. She was able to get into the center of the action without getting into anyone's face. She was respectful of our wish to have a minimal amount of staged photos so everyone, even my new husband and I, was able to spend 99.9% of the time having fun instead of posing for photos. My guests actually came up to me during the reception to compliment me on my choice of photographer. I couldn't have been luckier! Thanks so much Misti!!

Who said a girl can't toot her own horn?!?!?! Well, who knows my photography better than me! I'm so grateful and honored by all the wonderful things people have said. I do put my heart and soul into what I do and am just so honored that it is my full time career. I love what I do and know that to get a great shot it isn't about what camera I have but about how comfortable you feel with me and the communication between us, not you looking at the lens and giving me a terrified smile. So I get it. I hate having my photo taken!! I'm going to make sure you walk away thinking how fun it was and how you look forward to coming back. That is the point. Well, that and the photographs you will keep for your lifetime.

I hired Misti to photograph a family that was visiting SF to celebrate an 80th birthday. There were 17 people with a range of ages from 10 up to the 80 year old birthday girl. The group was comprised of strong personalities and a difficult lot to get to stand still because they were reuiniting from different parts of the world. Misti's warm, friendly, enthusiastic, and easy going personality put everyone in the right space. She got them to come together, go them focused, smiling and "making love to the camera". They were having fun with the process. The proof is in the pudding and when I saw the final results I was so impressed. Not only did Misti capture the posed and portrait shot perfectly but she captured on her own the candid moments that tell the story of a family coming together. With the information about the family's get together and her artistic eye she took more than pictures she told a story. Misti's talent for photography does more than offer you pictures it retells and reveals your experience!

Yes, that is her real name. No, she was not in that adult movie you watched last night! Misti is an amazing photographer with a great sense of humor and warm personality that makes you feel totally at ease when being photographed. She looked out for her fellow girly girl by making sure not a hair on my head was out of place. What's great about her is that she is versatile and shoots everything from weddings, pets, babies, and lifestyle images.

Misti is one of the most talented photographers with whom I've worked. She has a fantastic eye, and the talent to make anybody or anything look amazingly sytlish. She's versatile, sensitive, smart and easy to work with - she's the best and I recommend her highly.
Misti helped Yelp out during our Holiday Bash this December. She was professional yet fun, and very easy to work with. Most importantly, she managed to shoot a wide variety of our guests - some posed, some in the moment - all of which resulted in great photos that we'll be able to use on our blog (blog.yelp.com), in the press, etc. I'd have no hesistation recommending Misti's services in the future, for personal or professional reasons.

I'm not going to divulge her skills at coercing the best expressions out of people here, but let's just say that Misti knows exactly what buttons to push to get that shining moment, especially with amateur models. Brilliant! Yelp Holiday Party, Yelp Photoshoot, she's done it all for us and doesn't disappoint. If her photography works for Yelp, then it will definitely work for you. Check out her site. I needed a nice picture of myself... so i found misti layne on line and gave her a try. What a great experience, i'm a pretty tough critic, and people need to be nice, accomdating, and easy to work with for me to be fully satisified. Misti was all that and more, very pleasant, genuine, helpful, easy, accomodating, sincere, professional... and she also takes great pictures - - very natural, down to earth and geared toward the person. I recommend with out reservation.

Misti was my wedding photographer-It took hours of looking at others but I liked her web page and style. She took excellent photos, is very professional, and very flexible. She has a great conversational style and really tries to bring out the best in each person. Since the wedding she has become a client at my salon and has also done some pics there also. We love Misti!!!

Misti is a wonderful, excellent photographer. She has a lovely manner that will put you at ease. Her fun conversation will elicit genuine smiles. She had the patience to shoot my 5.5 month old baby. I look forward to an opportunity to work with her again!
She made me feel good about posing when I had a poochy belly from the pregnancy, lumpy chest from my nursing pads, and was exhausted from being up all night with the baby. That takes some serious skills!
Some of the digital pictures I got came out with a skin tone that is a bit too pink. It was the first thing my husband noticed.

The boyfriends daughter needed some head shots and Misti did an incredible job. We had so many excellent poses from which to choose, and the shoot itself was a breeze! The best thing about the whole experience is Misti's wonderful personality!! Her great attitude and experienced eye helped bring out the best in her subject, and in the end that's what it's all about.
UPDATE: She did some professional portraits and photos of my office that turned out wonderful. Because of her experience photographing people in all kinds of situations, she was able to find the best angle for me which really helped the whole outcome. My price included the images on CD which was great. I love Misti's work!!

Misti is awesome! I was pretty nervous about having some pics taken by a pro (watching "America's Next Top Model" probably didn't help), but Misti made it fun and totally put me at ease. She's so easy to work with - and the photos were fantastic, just what I was looking for. Misti made me look great! Can't recommend her enough!

While Misti is a dear friend of mine, I would and have recommended her to several friends because of her talent as a photographer. Her photographs are sharp and her eye for detail is excellent. She can do the most amazing things with her lighting, focus, and sheer talent.

misti is a fabulous photographer. she was my wedding photographer and has also done some head shots for me for my business, portraits of my pugs, and pics of my daughter at 1 week old!!!! she has the warmest personality that puts her clients at ease - allowing their best side to shine! she has a great eye and is quick to catch those special moments. last weekend she photographed my friend's wedding. it's usually so tedious to take all the photos when you know you need to get to the reception...but misti made it fun for the bride and groom and the attendants. she even got all of us to run out into the freezing cold and jump on the cable car!
but most importantly, misti's work speaks for itself! she gave me a box full of wedding photos. i was hoping to like 5 of the photos - i hate pics of myself. but i had a stack of about 75 of my favorites!!!!! i was amazed!

Misti is great, she was my wedding photographer-it took me hours and hours of reviewing websites but I was drawn to her personality when we met. She puts you at ease instantly and I love my photos-she made my husband comfortable, and got some great shots of me with my Dad-I am especially grateful for those because he passed away shortly after.
