24 check-insGreat prices and they've never disappointed. I'm thrilled to have a good cleaner within a block...YES! And, they've delivered numerous times when I had an emergency quick turnaround request - Thanks!!
I like their service with a smile, helpful attitude when I drop by too. I don't get that enough throughout my day. Keep up the good work. -

I've been going here for several years, but two weeks ago I had the third, and I think last bad customer service experience at this business. Generally I never care how long it takes to get things back, but my first issue occurred when I needed an item cleaned the same day. I was told I needed to get it to them by 10, which I did. I showed up just before closing and was told my item was not ready. I told the gentleman that I didn't mind waiting a few more minutes. He huffed at me and went in the back, and packaged my item up as he brought it out. I did what I was supposed to; I still don't understand what the problem was.
My second issue was the result of me having items ready for pickup, and dropping off new items without picking up the already cleaned ones. The dry cleaners was the first of several errands I needed to run; I was driving a car I couldn't lock, and didn't want to leave nice clothes just sitting there asking to be taken. The following week I took both my claim tags to the cleaner to pick-up both orders. The man brought out my most recent clothes. I told him I had more clothes that needed to be picked up. He said looked in the computer and said no. I told him I was certain that I did, and handed him the claim ticket. He insisted there were no more clothes. I asked him to please check were they would have been anyway. He checked, and there they were. No apology, nothing.
Two weeks ago I went in with a bunch of my husband's pants (most of the clothes I take in are his). The man pulled them out of the bag, made a face, then dramatically extended his arm and waved them a bunch of times in the air, turning his head. Then he said, "We don't accept clothes with this much animal hair on them." I stood there not knowing what to say. He went on, unhappily, "I'll take them this time," he said. He printed my ticket and I left. We have cats. The cleaner has never said anything about hair before. It wasn't obvious to me that there was more hair than normal. Perhaps my husband was rolling around on the ground with someone's dog, I really don't know, but the tone the man used with me was completely inappropriate.
The owner is always very friendly when I go in. The younger man, and the young woman are always fine. Each of my issues has occurred with the slightly older man with the facial hair. When I went in to pick-up my husbands offensive pants, the same guy was there, and was almost cheerful. I just never know if he's going to be pleasant or take out his bad day on me.
I noticed some of the other comments were about alterations. My husband has had a number of uniforms altered here, and was always pleased.
If I could think of a way of telling the owner about my crappy experiences, I would do that, and not write this review, but... perhaps he'll read this and have a talk with that guy. Not expecting that anyone pays attention to these reviews, I'll probably be looking for a new dry cleaner. -

3 check-insGreat for dry cleaning, not so great for alteration work. Don't do it! haha.
As for dry cleaning, they are prompt and offer same day service if you absolutely need it. I've been coming here for 2 years now and they haven't ruined any of my clothes. However, I've had a few shirts tailored here and they screwed them all up. I threw them away :(
*The prices are just a few bucks per item, so not bad at all. Check it out! -

I had two pair of shorts hemmed. When I dropped them off I was told that it would be $9 per pair. They asked if I needed anything else my response, "just the hemming". Pick-up day the bill was was $26? Let's see 9+9=18, no? The rest of the bill was for the cleaning that I did not ask for and was unnecessary (I had laundered them immediately prior to the tailoring request).
So they sneakily increased their billing by 30%. Just so you know how they do things. -

Just moved back into the area and have not used them for cleaning but for alterations. The first time, it seemed ok but they double charged me and I had to have the duplicate charge removed. The second time, I brought in 2 jeans and one pair of slacks that needed to be hemmed up they had my items 6 days got them last night was excited about wearing my new jeans and was SHOCKED.. they pressed both pairs of jeans and my slacks but NEVER altered my jeans, the safety pins still in the legs but they did do the slacks.. POOR attention to detail. I will NEVER go back and now I have to take my items elsewhere after paying them to do it.. HORRIBLE, I gave them a second chance and they BLEW it...

I have used Mission Cleaners once for a sweater and a scarf. The scarf had a stain (luckily not too visible). I picked up both, paid the $8.00 and when I got home I found a little tag on the scarf that says: "we've tried and tried but e were not able to remove the stains". Nothing was told to me when i picked up the scarf and I was still asked to pay the full amount although I paid for a service I did not receive. I will call and complain but I will not go back.

...went back recently for another shirt project and its pretty much the same story. The seamstress does damn fine work, and the rest of the experience is just, blah!
Dude working there.....nah! Somebody needs to bring that dude a cupcake or suntin, hes just smug and emotionless and not personable in the least!!
Again, the next project, although the seamstress does good work, i will be taking somewhere else, solely to not deal with that dude who needs a hug!! Maybe i'll check em in another year, see if theres any improvements....walked past this spot many times on my way into Bronx Pizza, which is next door. I had a small project of sewing a design from one of my old ripped t-shirts onto a fresh new blank shirt. So, based on walking by one day and seeing the woman in the window at the sewing machine, i figured id go get an idea of how much it would cost for my project. $10. "Nice, can i come pick it up later?"...i ask. "No it will be one week, but we can have it done faster ifya wanna pay more."...was the reply. Nah, its surely not that important. After about 10 minutes of talking to the seamstress about exactly how i wanted the new shirt to look, it seemed we had an understanding. I went back the next week and was quite pleased with her work. Ive got a few other similar projects, but i think ill shop my projects around to a few different spots to see if theres a better deal to be had. Yea, so.....4 stars for the quality of work, and maybe 1 or 2 stars for the rest of my experience at Mission Cleaners. Read more1/12/2010 Previous review

5 check-insService can be shotty and prices are average. No parking up front and small service area. I had some jeans hem and they did a good job. This a corner location and Bronx pizza is next door. It is very busy in the area and I'd try to avoid it if driving. Other then that I'd use them again because I live a block away.

Bad dry cleaning and terrible alterations.
If you have dry cleaning that needs freshening, rather than anything actually stained, you'll be fine at Mission Cleaners, assuming they don't lose your clothes. But stains? I used them as my dry cleaners for several months before realizing that then NEVER succeeded in getting stains out. Worse yet, they never told me it hadn't come out. I'd pick up the clothes, think they were fine, and discover when I went to wear something that the stain was still there.
Initially, I just assumed, based on Mission Cleaners' reputation that my clothes were truly ruined by the stains. But when I realized they couldn't seem to remove ANY stain, I brought my stained nice things elsewhere for re-cleaning and used Tide to Go on the stained less nice things. That worked. Wish I hadn't wasted all that money on cleaning here before realizing that.
And their alterations/repairs are abysmal. I brought in a couple of shirts missing buttons and a skirt where the zipper was ripping out. They "replaced" the missing buttons with buttons that don't even remotely match after telling me they could match them, and on the only one where they managed to match the button, they used red thread to sew it onto a burgundy shirt. They also totally screwed up the little repair on the skirt, it looked awful and the seam was totally askew and wouldn't lie flat. All of their work has had to be redone.
Don't waste your money or risk your clothes here. -

So when I got my clothes back I just hung them up without checking. In a rush to get ready for work, I through on a black suit and as I was buttoning my pants I noticed the clasp was bent. I bent it back and didn't think much of it. When I got to work, my coworker noticed that the belt of my pants was actually Ripped and the zipper was slipping about half an inch. EMBARRASSING. I can't believe I didn't notice that in the morning, but I was mortified. It looked like it had gotten caught in a machine (the belt area was badly crinkled, and there were bits of cloth missing, and the zipper and clasp were bent out of shape).
I called them, and calmly explained the issue. They told me to bring it by the next morning and they'd take a look.
I go in the next morning at 7...when they "open"...and yelled "hello..hello?" for a while before a guy tumbles out of a back room without a shirt on. He puts his shirt on and rudely asks what I need. I explain that I had called the day before and show him the pants. He very rudely tells me that they can't do anything because "our machines wouldn't cause something like that". I told him it HAD to have happened at their shop since that was the last place it went before I wore the pants. I left the pants with him and told him to have the manager call me when he/she got in. Of course no one called, so I called back and a lady answered the phone and apologized for the damage. I went by after work and they assured me that they would be able to repair and make it "look like new" and that it would be ready by the next day.
Since I was too busy to pick it up the next day anyway, I told them to take their time and PERFECT it or they would be buying me a new suit.
When I finally got the suit back, it looked OK. The belt was sewn on slightly crooked and it doesn't fit as comfortably as it used to.
This went from being my favorite black suit to my least favorite...all thanks to Mission Cleaners.
2 stars because they at least tried and I only had to deal with 1 idiot. The rest of the staff was friendly.I have been looking for a dry cleaner for almost a month now, and I think I've finally found one.… I have been looking for a dry cleaner for almost a month now, and I think I've finally found one. Mission Cleaners has the most decent prices I've come across. Literally, the smallest dry cleaning bill i've ever gotten. Here's what it broke down to per item:5/7/2012 Previous review
Trench-coat $12.30
Cropped wool coat $7.60
Suit pants $3.85 each
Suit jackets $4.90 each
Blouses $2.90 each
The only cons:
-parking. Theres 15 minute parking on 1st & Washington and 3rd & Washington, so its not that bad, but when theres a rush (around 5/530) it can be a bit difficult.
-I have a buttonless open blazer/cardigan type thing, and it was cheap...30-40 bux...i pulled the thread from the hem and it basically came undone. it would be a straight sew, crease was already in the blazer, and they were charging $16. i thought that was pricey. not any fancy/difficult fabric, so i couldnt figure out why they'd charge that much. Haven't gotten any pants hemmed by them, but its $9 for that (not bad). but if you are a Nordstrom card holder you get up to $100 tailoring free every year...soooo i'm going to stick with Nordstrom :) Read more -

24 check-insAs a two year customer of Mission Cleaners, I can say that I trust them with my clothes, delicates and all alterations. The service is professional and cordial. If you are not 100% satisfied they will correct the problem right away.
Prices? Reasonable. Hours? 7AM to 6PM. The store is closed on Sundays. -

Reason for the 1 star, I was really disappointed with the service there. Took in a few shirts one of the shirts was RUINED, the person at the check out did not say a word. granted I should have checked the shirts but busy had to go so did not check till maybe a week later to my surprise there was a small tag on the hanger that said (WE HAVE TRIED TO CLEAN BEST WE CAN) this shirt has been dry cleaned before and no problem. I thought it was really shady, the way they did it. not happy and I will not go there again. and that is why I will not recommend to ANYBODY. at your own risk.

If you value your clothes, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE!
I do not buy cheap clothing. Two shirts from Nordstrom, one store brand, one BOSS - both returned to me with holes in the same spot on the left forearm near the elbow. Both shirts well under a year old. I work a desk job and non of my other shirts, of various ages - some older, show any signs of any sort of wear. The holes are suspiciously similar - a horizontal slice perpendicular to the arm of about an inch long.
There was some shenanigans around the second shirt shirt. It was held back for a "stain" that I did not report when I came to pick up my batch of drycleaning - this being the 1.5 y/o Hugo Boss Slim-fit Nordstrom shirt (non-factory outlet purchase). When I dropped off my next batch of dry cleaning and picked the shirt up, the worker just casually handed me the shirt, as is nothing was the matter with it. When I saw and mentioned the hole - again - casually - "it must have been wear." On a shirt that young and on no other shirts in my wardrobe? None... and I have 10 year old shirts...
I also had a jacked dry cleaned that the zipper stuck the very first time I put it on. Again - it was the age of the garment and not their fault. Well that time I argued and they finally put a new zipper on it - which they should have just done in the first place - Jeez, a 50 cent zipper - it's like pulling teeth with these people.
The customer service is horrible - the customer is always wrong.
If you don't care about your clothes, your clothes are cheap, you don't mind replacing them, and you want a low cost dry cleaners - by all means - drop your junk off there...
Parking is always a problem. -

I've been going to Mission Cleaners for 7 years - I'm definitely a fan! The street parking can be a little rough, but their driveway is normally available and perfect for a quick drop off or pick up.
When I moved closer to Uptown Cleaners, I went there once - and only once. Their prices were so much more than Mission's! I once went to another place in Kearney Mesa near my office, but same story - so much more expensive!
I'm not sure why the other reviewers are saying the customer service is bad. I've had great experiences with the front desk staff - always friendly, helpful, and honest about when my clothes will be ready. I've used the on-site alterations just to hem pants and have always been pleased. Highly recommend Mission Cleaners! -

I have to say, I was very dissapointed with the quality of dry cleaning. Which is a bummer because the location is convenient, the attendant that helped me during drop off was great and they use enviromentally friendly cleaning agents. When I dropped off my goods, I asked to have special attention paid to some stains that were on one of mmy garmets. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. When I came back. No one told me the stains were still there. My dissapointment comes from the fact that I was able to remove the stains myself using a stain remover. I guess I just expect more from a dry cleaning business that charges more for services.
I reccomend taking your dry cleaning else where! -

I am a fan and would love to give them more stars - quality dry cleaning and pressing, laundered shirts are done to my liking, friendly staff.
Who uses a dry cleaners? Mostly professionals, right. So my troubles with this place are related to their hours. Who are they catering to by only opening at 8am and closing at 5:30pm - so they are open on Saturdays. the line on Saturdays is usually long. I'm guessing because all the professionals can't get there before they close!
If I could find equally good performance with better hours I'd change in a heartbeat! -

The cleaning is pretty good and I like that they can turn it around in 24 hours, but that's about the end of whats good about this place. I live 1/2 block away so you would think it would be my go to dry-cleaner and it would be but for the annoying encounters I have with the guy who is always manning the front. I feel like every time I go in there he treats me like he's doing me a favor charging me $5 to clean a blouse. And there's usually this awkward moment when I'm trying to explain that there's a little stain here or there, or I want a crease or whatever where he just looks at my blankly, takes the clothes and puts them aside. I don't think he ever actually notes whatever my special instruction is. I liked the suggestion from another reviewer to bring him a cupcake, I may just try that next time!

Called up for a last minute suit cleaning--I needed it back the same day. Dropped off at 10am picked up at 4pm. They didn't charge me extra or pull any shenanigans. Just good old fashion friendly service. I also like that they have their own drive way you can park in.

This place has been going down hill for a few years. Today, I went to get tailoring done and the seamstress was not there. The attendant, would not let me leave my stuff there and wait till the seamstress came back, Normally they woudl not be afraid to take my clothing.
The guy could barely speak English, just enough to piss me off.
