Oasis: something serving as a refuge, relief, or pleasant change from what is usual, annoying, difficult, etc. (http://www.dictionary.com)

After walking through the seedy part of SOMA, I was surprised and relieved to enter Miss SaiGon. The soft colors, warm atmosphere, and light music made it a welcome respite and set a wonderful tone for lunch. Even the menu was physical impressive - seemingly hand-made of rich paper with inlaid leaves and pressed plants, it included small photos of most of the offerings. Prices were quite reasonable, typically $6-9 for soups, noodles, and rice plates. I had a combination lunch special ($10.95) consisting of beef, chicken, shrimp, veggie fried rice, spicy cabbage, an eggroll, and a crab rangoon. It was all very good, though the crab rangoon, eggroll, and friend rice stood out the most. Also of particular note, my excellent Thai iced tea ($2.95) was enormous - filling a large pilsner glass! Staff were friendly and didn't dawdle, and everything was very clean.

It was with a very happy tummy and a reluctant heart that I had to say goodbye to this lush retreat and head back into the wasteland of the neighborhood. It's comforting to know that this beacon of brightness awaits my certain return.

I thought about walking away from this place, with my vague sense of dissatisfaction, and just leaving that feeling behind, skip the review, fuck it, there's other places that I feel more strongly about.

Stiff upper lip and all that, don't you know, "walk it off, Johnson," make lemonade, and so forth.

But they've got some issues.  And I just kept thinking about those issues, so had to write a review.  Oh, Yelp, let's you and I work this shit out... together.

Now, don't get me wrong, it ain't all problems--these folks have put together a clean and attractive place to eat.  The big windows fill the space with clean light, the glossy dark wood tables are attractive--it really does feel like you've stumbled through a wardrobe into a much better place than where you were before (i.e. shoving your way through crackheads, drug-dealers, and babbling psychotics).

Oh!  Their coffee was excellent.  And they do the condensed milk in a glass with the coffee dripping into it from the little suspended pot.  I fucking love that, and they are the only place I've been other than http://www.yelp.com/bi... who does it.

I had a bit of three different items.  Their chicken salad was just fine--nothing spectacular, just shredded cabbage and carrots and bean sprouts and some chicken in a thin, sweet sauce.  Haven't ever had bad chicken salad in a SE Asian joint, I don't think (the one at http://www.yelp.com/bi... is in a class of its own in awesomeness, however).

My lunch date, Jane C., got what I would have assumed was pho, except for the big, fat noodles they used.  They were indeed rice noodles, but they looked like fat spaghetti--not udon-size, but opaque, white noodles.  No translucency, no gloss, nothing like the usual glass-like vermicellli.  Maybe I'm just culturally retarded and Vietnamese connoisseurs are all about the fat noodles, but to me, that's "incorrect."  And the broth... weak.  Salty enough, but a real pho broth is complex--we're talking 20 pound ox bones simmered for two days complex, like over at http://www.yelp.com/bi....  This could very well have been derived from boullion, and I *know* that's not traditional.

And finally, this might seem like nit-picking, but we got the banana cake.

Now, looking at the banana cake's photo on the menu, you see a very attractive, two-layer slice of cake, probably made of two cake rounds of angel food with a browned, glossy filling spread across the top and between the layers--and the spread has clearly defined slices of banana in it.  We weren't sure what to expect, after all it could just be angel food cake with some banana shit smeared on it, or there could be some kind of flavor marriage that would make us cream in our jeans, but that's what experimentation is all about, right?  It looked great, is the point.

When the "cake" came out, however, it was this round, flat little brown and grey splatter of a confection.  I mean, it tasted okay (like sweetened and baked banana), but what made this a cake?  It was a baked smear!  Your food's gotta at least *resemble* the menu, I mean, come on.

There were some other disappointments (what was that shredded brown stuff with the soup?  my vote was oxidized radish--bleah), but you get the picture.

Really, I think this was a two-star meal, but I've heard fair-to-good reviews from friends about this place, including from Jane C herself, and I'm open to visiting again--maybe a basic meat + rice dish will move them into my good graces.  I'd much rather give four stars than three--but this was not a great experience.

Yes, I know it's in a shady neighborhood and across the street from an adult shop.  But if you can look beyond all that and walk in, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The service is not in your face but attentive, food is tasty and the price is just right.  Unlike most Vietnamese restaurants, this place is clean and modern.

I ordered the bun dish of noodles & chicken, its probably one of the best I've ever had. Prior to coming here I was just tolerant of Vietnamese food but now I'm a fan.

Service is lacking and consists of a lot of waiting. There is no reason to be waiting 15+ mins for a check while there are only 3 tables including us and the 3 waiters are just standing there, staring off into space.

An unassuming gem w/ corner location in a sketchy neighborhood, but nothing could keep me from my 1st love...FOOD!  Walk in & your transported to another world.  Clean, welcoming, and fast.  Sit down, open up the photo album menu and let your eyes dictate to your stomach what's about to happen...order the Shaken Beef - tasty, tender, God it shook my nerves!  Shrimp in hot chili paste sauce...mmmm my glands are tingling as I think about it.  The bok choy in that dish perfectly cooked, shrimp succulent, take your rice and let the sauce make love to it.

Delicious food and great portions at the right price. Had a quick dinner her before catching a show and was very impressed. Given the neighborhood...ahem... this place is a little gem. The interior is beautiful the staff was incredibly attentive and polite and a huge menu to choose from.

I highly recommend the Bo xao cari (#60). I would make the trip again just for it!

This clean, bright spot is an oasis in a grim stretch of the city. Your best choice for lunch if you're doing business at the Federal Building, and not a bad hike from SF Centre or the Metreon, 3 blocks away.

they have a variety of lunch plates at 9-10 bucks but I was with a large group so we tried some of their specials. Standouts were the #83 crunchy rice with seafood (there were some mushroom bits that tasted like chanterelles in there too); #43 shaken beef with garlic noodles (really a lot of tender beef in this one) and #13 vietnamese pancake stufed with bean sprouts and pork. #11 green papaya salad was not spicy enough, but redeemed by lots of bits of candied jerky on top. #91 rib eye for some reason came without the asparagus mentioned on the menu, but in any case this was the least interesting dish--just some tender beef with a mustard gravy--and also the most expensive at $17.95.

Solid Vietnamese food for a little gem in SOMA. Once you get in, you realize they're put a lot of work to make this place a classy establishment; menus, waterfall, and all! They pay a lot of attention to details, and seem to have a decent range of Asian food, not just exclusively Vietnamese food.

The price is right, and you can get stuffed for under $10. Their portions are pretty generous. Yum.

Please don't judge this spot simply because it's in the hood.  My coworkers and I came here for lunch after reading about the place on Yelp. We walked from 3rd and Mission. We walked and walked... and the more we walked the more ghetto it got...  Finally after dodging cat call after panhandler, we arrived at Miss SaiGon. WOW. Super classy spot!!  Beautiful high ceilings, nice seating area, clean floors, flat screen tvs, & a bar. We're greeted by 3 people who immediately seat us and bring us water with cucumber. Woo! The tables are SUPER clean and not sticky with bits of green onion or noodle left behind from the previous diners. *gag* We ordered spring rolls, chicken skewers (my personal favorite), and the vietnamese pancake as our appetizers and we proceed to order our individual entrees. I had the Pho Tai Bo Vien. Super yum!! Strawberry smoothie was delicious too.

The service was something I would never expect from a Vietnamese restaurant at the price it was at. Water always filled. Smiles galore. Yummy food and nice menu selection with pictures! Very cute.

If I'm in the area again, I plan to come back!

Live really close by here.  My roommate introduced it to me and I'm glad he did!

We had several dishes/family style.  I don't recall the exact dishes but it included some red meat dishes, a veggie, pad thai (old tried and true!) and fish.  What can I say...it's all good in the hood?  I've had better Viet food (grew up in Socal and spend 2 yrs in san jose), but for what it's worth this place is comparable.  Especially since it's a walk away and I don't have to go to the other ghetto - the TL; ain't nothing tender about that place.

They even serve brown rice!  Which is my new favorite!  Ambiance was cool and I liked the fact that it was super clean!  Prices are reasonable for dinner..and I heard lunch is even better!  Now I can have my Viet food and disgust with all my roommates the competitive landscape of porn shops that are all within a 1-block radius of this wonderful restaurant!  But really..there must be some form of a differentiation (arcade anyone?).

So I've had this crazy Vietnamese fever lately. Seriously. I probably eat vermicelli noodles + chicken + vegetables at least three times a week. They all have one thing in common - beautiful, sweet, sweet noodles with the sweet purple sauce that I surprisingly can't spell. Hoison? Hoisin?

Anyway, this place is funny. The inside is spotless and super clean. The guy was wiping down the inside of kitchen doors with 409 when I walked in. Cheap food, too, but good lord - wear sunglasses while you're walking down 6th from Market so you don't make eye contact with any of the stoned druggies. The place is cheap, though, 7 bucks for a dish isn't bad in this area.

Super surprised and impressed by this Sixth and Mission spot. It's in my old stomping ground -- where I used to stumble out of clubs in my prime and mingle and smoke with the crazies. I didn't know what to expect inside on my first visit. The interior is quite nice, and the pho is pretty decent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. You totally forget where you are in the city.

I definitely want to support this restaurant, so I'll return soon.

Very nice and clean Vietnamese restaurant.  Although I like the grimey business model of Pho restuarants, this is a nice change.

The Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong I had was excellent.  The meat was very very lean and I had the most productive shit of my life after.  I know, TMI, but I just had to mention what was memorable.

I used to live on 6th Street and happily dodge the sidewalk sitters for my weekly trip to TuLan.  when I saw that a new Vietnamese restaurant was coming in with a classy interior and clever name all i could say was "there goes the neighborhood."

To be fair, Miss Saigon isn't trying to be the next TuLan.  quite the opposite, they are the anti Tulan and that's probably why they just dont compare in my book.

There food is good, not great, and not quite as flavorful as I would like.  It's moderately priced and deservedly so.

My usual vietnamese meal (rare beef pho and some spring rolls) was a split decision.  The pho was a total bummer, not enough beef, not enough noodles, but the spring rolls were damn fine.

My veggie friends say yay, i say okay and will always swear by tulan.

I only go here because AllSTAR (at mission and 9th) is freaking closed all the freaking time. AllSTAR has better pho, no contest.

But... I have to admit Miss SaiGon has grown on me. They have what basically every other TL/SoMa pho place lacks: some kind of atmosphere. It's all clean and stuff. And there's a little waterfall when you walk in. The TVs that constantly play that stupid penguin surfing movie (like penguins could surf, whatever,) I could do without, but at least they keep them muted and play nice music. Sort of melancholy music. I've heard Moon River like 4 times there.

I like Miss SaiGon. You should go there. Especially before a movie, with a date who you don't really want to spend a lot of money on.

Update: I added a star. Miss Saigon has really grown on me.

I was all excited about trying this place because of the reviews on yelp. Service was good and friendly. When I looked through the menu I felt like this place was kinda touristy with all the pictures of entrees. Food was okay. We had the imperial rolls which were pretty good. CL had the bun with grilled pork and veggies which he said was okay. I had the garlic noodles with shaking beef. The portion for my garlic noodles was very small and quality of beef was just okay. I was a bit disappointed by this.

Nice space in an OK hood south of Market.  I went here for lunch and was sat quickly.  The menu is huge like 2" thick!  They have daily lunch specials and numerous options for under $8.  I had the lemon grass chicken with vermicelli noodles.  The flavors were a little bland but I added some chile sauce and it was all good.  The space is very open and has a great green accent wall behind the bar and was very clean.
Service was pretty good except the bus boy took forever to give me more water!  Overall a great value for the food and it is close to my office.  I will be back again.

We've been looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant and Miss Saigon certainly fits the bill.  As lots of people have pointed out, this is not in the nicest area of the city, but inside it is clean, pleasant and both the food and service are great.  It's a convenient distance from the Century theatres at Westfield mall and also Metreon.

We had wonton soup (we always try this since there was a hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant in Hartford, CT that had great wonton soup), garlic chicken (ga xao gung) and a beef dish that I can't remember.  The soup and the chicken were both great and the beef was good (but we'll probably try the bo luc lac next time).

We'll definitely come back here (but probably not too late at night).

I like big buhns and I cannot lie!

One my favorite places to get hot pho or a delicious buhn in the entire Bay Area. Buhn toppings are ample & super fresh. The service is friendly, attentive, and the prices are right. Take note: The 'hood... It is really important that we support businesses in the 6th St. Corridor, so do not concern yourself too much with being distracted by the people hanging out on the streets -- likely not going to be an issue, but it is definitely a rougher spot in the City. This place is worth the trek to the wild(er)-side. :)

Had dinner for the first time there the other night.

Service was great, it became a challenge to empty my water glass before they could fill it back up again.  My first positive impression was of the lemonade that I ordered.  It was obviously fresh squeezed, and made with real sugar.  As I drank it I was transported back to my grandmother's driveway, selling lemonade for 25 cents a cup.

I ordered the grilled and shredded port plate, which also came with egg cake (and I opted for the fried egg on top of the grilled pork).  The grilled pork was yummy, with a delicious glaze and perfectly tender.  As I am not schooled in the ways of Vietnamese food, it would have been nice to know the shredded pork was served cold, and I didn't like the texture, but the rest of the dish, including the egg cake and the soft-fried egg over the grilled pork, was so good that I can't wait to go back and try something else.

Came here a while back and wasn't too crazy about their pho, but tried the Bun or the noodle bowl and it was awesome.  So much better than Tu Lan down the block.  The noodles were fresh, the pork was lean, and the egg rolls are how just my mom makes.

We came in a little before lunch so it wasn't too busy, but definitely was packed before we finished our meal.  Location is on ghetto 6th street, but there is nothing ghetto inside.  Prices are comparable to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but they take credit cards which is convenient.

Wow. A diamond in the rough that is SOMA/lower Tenderloin.

I went here with my parents after seeing a matinee showing of Spamalot. The walk down the street was SOOO sketch. How many crackheads did I pass? Don't know...lost count.

Once we got there, it was like a refuge from the craziness outside. Nicely decorated with shiny finished tables, crown moulding with a sky painted ceiling, and delicate little white porcelain pots for the soy sauce and chili. It was beautiful for a casual Vietnamese restaurant. And no smell! That was a plus.

We ordered the crab rangoon and crispy squid for appetizers. The server came out a few minutes later, said they ran out of squid and suggested we get the chicken wings, so we did. Crab rangoon was nice and crispy outside, super cheesy in the inside. It was delish! Another waiter took our appetizer plates, which threw me off because our chicken wings didn't come out yet. When our chicken wings came out, our waiter saw the puzzled look on our faces, and quickly got more plates.

Our pho came out strategically right after we were done with the wings. My mom got the seafood combo with egg noodles, and my dad and I pretty much got the same thing: medium rare beef with beef balls. Simply delicious. Unlike other Pho places, they charge 6-7 dollars for a large bowl...flat rate, which I personally like. Get more bang for your buck that way.

Their cucumber water is refreshing. Looked at the check, we weren't charged for our hot tea, which was a nice treat. Overall a great place to dine after seeing a show at Golden Gate. It's never dead. There's always a few people there dining and going in and out for take out. Beautiful atmosphere for a Vietnamese casual resaurant.

Good stuff. $6.95 for a big 'ol bowl of pretty good combination beef pho. They don't skimp on the noodles, either, which is usually one of my gripes for pho places, so bonus points for that. Fast, friendly service, and tasty food - maybe not worth making a pilgrimage to from the other side of the city, but worth picking over Tu Luan if you're in the mood for Vietnamese food in the area.

So, their base rating is four stars; they get minus one star from that for not having tendon or tripe in their pho, but they regain that very same star for the never-ending Michael Jackson music video marathon they had playing on all of their four TV screens for the hour or so we were at lunch.

What a surprise!  I've had a good amount of Vietnamese food and this is by far the best I've ever had!  The whole experience was great.  The ambiance of the restaurant is very clean and well decorated.  The music is ambient as well with birds chirping and waterfall sounds and ocean waves and instrumentals.  Now the food: I ordered my usual Vietnamese vermicelli noodle bowl with barbecued pork and egg roll (sorry, don't now the Vietnamese name).  The pork was succulent and a huge bowl!  The chili sauce I added tasted homemade, I swear.  My husband had a gigantic bowl of spicy soup which was flavorful, too.  We ordered spring rolls as an appetizer and they were very fresh.  The service was great and attentive.
This is a gem in a very seedy area.  Walk down from Tu Lan and have a great meal at a very, very reasonable price.

This is a long story but indulge me, please.

So in planning our trip to San Francisco from NC, I was desperately seeking Vietnamese food. Dave K., my SF Yelp friend, steered me in the direction of several seemingly good choices. If we had had more time, I'm sure we would have tried more than one of his suggestions. But we didn't, so I had to choose. Once I finally figured out where we'd be located and how mass transit works in SF, I decided on Miss SaiGon, the one closest to where Dave lives. (I was looking for you, D.)

Turns out, my idea for Vietnamese would happen with a group of 9 after our tour to Alcatraz on July 29. Two in the party (parents of our friends) were a bit nervous about it as they had seen plenty of greasy spoons in Chinatown and weren't up for that type of gastronomical experience. I tried to explain how different the cuisines were, but honestly, I had no idea if they would like it.

We ended up hopping on a bus to get us closer to SOMA. That's when things got crazy. An older Asian woman on the bus saw me analyzing the map trying to figure out where we were going and asked if she could help (which was very nice of her I might add). I told her we wanted to go to Miss Saigon on 6th Street, between Minna and Mission. She said, "That's not a very good part of town." Well, Dave and the others warned me about the Tenderloin, but I've been in bad parts of town in DC, NY, London, Boston, Dallas and I wasn't all that worried. But the older couple overheard, and they WERE WORRIED. Terrified, is more like it. As we exited the bus and started walking toward the restaurant, they announced, "we aren't going, we'll meet you later." Then my friend (their daughter) got all upset and said, "I'll stay with you." Then her husband got ticked off and said, "No way, we're not separating, we're all eating together." But the older couple was pretty adamant that they weren't going to eat bad food in a bad area where people are killing each other and who knows what else.

Well I don't know how it happened but next thing you know they decide they'll take a look and if it looks "OK" they will stay. And wouldn't you know, we arrived at Miss SaiGon and found a lovely, clean restaurant with waiters happy to serve us. Everyone stayed.

And I for one am glad they did. Not that I would have left, but the fact is EVERYONE was happy with the choice. Days later, the older couple kept telling me how good the food was and how funny it was that the lady on the bus didn't phase me because I was determined to get my food, blah, blah, blah.

Okay, so the review. The restaurant is tastefully decorated in a contemporary motif - I enjoyed the video on the wall of whales and dolphins. The wait staff was attentive and helpful - they seemed genuinely delighted to serve us. (Not like a place across from Oriental Pearl that I don't know the name of but it was a dump and the wait staff stood around us watching us eat and made us very uncomfortable.)

We had a green papaya salad that was DELICIOUS. My kids got spring rolls and they were fresh and tasty. The pho was very good, not the best I've ever had but it hit the spot. I had a delicious barbecue pork Bun. Everything was fresh and well presented. Someone had shaking beef and was so impressed he was talking about trying to recreate it at home.

Oh, and as for the area, like I said, I know bad areas and this was not a bad area. Granted we were there before dark and left maybe before things go sour. I dunno. My husband, who was facing the door, said he saw a couple of guys smoke a doobie and saw a woman who looked like she was working the streets. Still, don't let that keep you away from good food.

There aren't too many pho places in San Francisco, so miss saigon is a good place to go for you pho cravings. They give you large amounts of food for the prices you pay.

The only downside about this restaurant is that it's located off of 6th street.

Oh my, do I LOVE this place! I'm just going to make this review short and simple.

+ CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN, place! Must be the cleanest Vietnamese Pho place I ever been.
+Ordering was quick and easy.
+ Nice waiter, took my order without writing it down. Just stood, listen, nod, repeat. He can memorize your whole order! ( I came here with my parents, so it was around  3 people total)
+ They have clean bathrooms! That's like HARD to find! In this neighborhood AND in the normal pho restaurants. They have automatic paper towel dispenser!

This is a bi-weekly stop on the take-out list for us.  We haven't ventured too far out from the basics, but the food is pretty good.  They always seem to have a decent dinner crowd there, which supports my view of this place being pretty good.  We typically get the fresh spring rolls, fried spring rolls, vermicelli or rice with grilled pork.  Generous portions which we usually can't finish.

FIVE!

First off, A+ for being open on Easter Sunday. You can always rely on Asian places for that fact. :) Our group was in need of a place that can seat 8 and be close to the Orpheum for our pre-Wicked lunch. We came here because I dont remember wreaking of pho or fish sauce after my meal, which would be nice since some of us were dressed for a musical.

Service was a little off today--they seemed a little confused as to how to seat a party of 8 despite the fact that all their tables were empty except for one. There was also some misunderstanding which caused us to wait a little before we can put in our order. BUT i thought it was great that the person who took our order memorized it and didnt have to write anything down.

The pictures on the menu are deceiving--all the rice plates came out WAY better than the pictures (there was even a rendered plate, which was hilarious [no. 42 or something]). I only had a summer roll and appreciated that my fish sauce came with a little spoon. There's nothing i hate more than dipping my roll in the sauce and having the insides fall out. This solves my problem and I love that they're thoughtful like that. I still love the fact that they serve cucumber water!

I  l o v e  this place.

Yea, I said it.

My boyfriend and I are regulars here and the owner is very nice and recognizes us every time.  Service is attentive and the atmosphere is clean and nice (including the hokey Vietnamese folk songs playing in the background).

The food is pretty decent Vietnamese; I recently discovered the #32 (vermicelli noodles with lemongrass chicken and grilled onions.... mmm) is my favorite dish.  Generous portions of tender, flavorful chicken too.  Two main entrees and one appetizer (chicken salad; tasty and refreshing) = $25 including tip.  Now THAT is a good cheap eat!

It's been nearly two months since I dined here with colleagues and Miss Saigon's garlic noodles and shaking beef (bo luc lac) remain on my mind. The lunch specials are super generous and include soup and crab rangoon (there's something about cream cheese in a fried wrapper that gets me every time!)

We were steered here by a vegetarian so I think it's safe to say Miss Saigon's got something for everyone. I'll certainly return the next time I'm in SoMa.

Lunch! I love lunch! Its the one meal of the day I can fully enjoy the most.
Breakfast: I can't really eat that much, only got room for tea and that's it.
Dinner: Eat too much, and you feel like a total fatass before you go to sleep
Lunch: On the other hand,  when it hits noon, stomach starts to growl, and you can EAT, yet if you eat too much its OK, cus you have like 5 hours to burn it!

So when I decided to go have lunch with my FiDi buddy, I was surprised when he said lets grab Vietnamese on 6th Street.  I was like SIXTH STREET?? I am not gonna eat at Tu Lan (which is yummy on the dollar, but not somewhere you would actually DINE at)!

he was: " no no its this other place, don't worry its not ghetto"

So I was game, and luckily I was!  The outside of Miss. Saigon, looks like a typical blah restaurant front in the 6th street area, nothing special.  But WOW stepped in, and TOTALLY different!  Its VERY clean, roomy, and even stylish!

OK sooo the place isn't ghetto...but hows the food? Cus I'm a total vietnamese food whore, I can eat that stuff 7 days a week, and if its bad, it'll ruin my entire day. So its has to been good.

And it was YUMMY! they had allll the various Viet dishes!! From traditional Pho to their more traditional entree dishes like the Shaken Beef and Garlic noodles, even clay pot!!! Everything reasonable prices as well!

Usually for Viet restaurants, either the Pho is good, and nothing else.  Or the entrees are good and the Pho is bammer.  But NO, they were both awesome!!

Its a bit far out of the way from FiDi, but its really worth it for the great authentic food, wonderful service, and dirt cheap prices!

I love Miss SaiGon....they deserve a 5 star!!  This place is one of the BEST , CLEANIEST and FRIENDLIEST Vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco.  I originally found this restaurant on yelp and I am so glad that it did!!  The food is authentic, flavorful and not to mention GENEROUS PORTION.  The menu has so much choices...over a hundred item and everything looks delicious- it is so hard to choose.  The only downside is that it is located in the hood, but the restaurants still get a lot of business which goes to show that the food is that good.  I will definitely go back when I am in downtown SF.

I just went there for lunch today. Right on the corner of 6th & Mission, it is definetly in the hood!
I was pleasantly surprise at how clean the place is... But of course it is new!!!
I had the golden tofu and stir fry veggies on yellow curry and it was delicious.
My friend has the Lemongrass Pork and although she thought it had some fat in it, I really loved it!
THe imperial rolls were hot and fresh!
THe price was very affordable.
THe paintings are so so cheasy, but beautifully made in their cheasiness. Hey, bad but original art trumps fake... Well, maybe.
Come here and often. The service was nice and speedy!

This place is OK. I work on folsom and 7th so this place is a jaunt through and up nasty 6th street (think of urine smells every step of the way) and homeless persons glore....its really the only decent pho place in the area and once you are INSIDE its very clean and spacious. Your standard viet place, nothing special, decent portions and prices. Good serivce. I dont know if I would brave the hike again tho!
