Came here expecting some eye candy (girls can appreciate hot girls too), but the girls in our group were way hotter than the wait staff. It doesn't seem like you'll find the girls in lingerie at this Vietnamese coffee shop. Oh well. They were sweet though -- accommodating our group of 40 by asking other patrons to move and putting a bunch of tables together. Plus they constantly refilled the free iced tea on our tables.

The place is rather big, with a smoking room in the front and non-smoking in the back. They have a bunch of MegaTouch machines and table top video games too.

Karaoke was going on, and while most of the singers were belting out tunes in Vietnamese, they actually sounded really good. Well, except for one girl who made me cringe every time she hit a high note. Their song selection wasn't organized by artist, so it was difficult to find what we were looking for.

Minimum purchase is $4 -- which is the price of pretty much any drink. Please remind me that I am lactose intolerant and cannot have coffee with condensed milk.

Gonna be honest here. My company was amazing, but this Cafe was not. The place was huge and loud, filled with people, including me, trying to yell over both the crazy background noise (ironically of people trying to talk loud enough to be heard) and Vietnamese karaoke. The warbling of brave souls filled the room.

I met a girl with a beautiful voice in the bathroom though. That was cool. Next to the bathroom they had a statue of a boy holding his crotch...probably to make people with urgent bladders feel more at home.

So besides having to yell to the people next to me (which was really difficult for me because I talk like a mouse), I also didn't appreciate the waitresses who presented each of us with two options after we sat down.

    1) Pay $5
    2) Order a drink for $4+

I wanted to leave because I didn't know of this cover charge (I'm a student; I can't afford to treat myself to dinner AND a drink goddammit)...plus, who ever heard of a cover charge at a cafe? Anyway, she said I had to pay, even if I left now, so I figured I might as well get a drink out of it. Taro smoothie it was.

My taro smoothie was artificially flavored (what did I expect, right?) and very very rich, full of whipped cream. I couldn't drink it all nor did I want to.

Oh and I didn't appreciate the lingerie-like-dress things or the heavy make-up donned by the waitresses. It made me feel like a sleazy horndog with bad taste, to be served by them.

    This place is huge!!
Anyways.. 4 dollars per person whether you like it or not (makes some kind of sense so that folks can make some sort of money). Strawberry smoothie was good and not overly sweet.

    Miss Cafe is A-OK.

This place is one of the nicest Vietnamese coffee shops I have been to. Meaning it's clean, coffee is super strong, people are friendly, and there is a big-ass karaoke system.

Sure, you are not going to be googling over any lingerie-clad girls here, but expect good service and the strongest caffeinated coffee.

There is a smoking seating section outside and life is good for all.

    Two words. Vietnamese Karaoke.

The entertainment here made this place priceless for our group! We were trying to get the guys to sing but they need to start putting ALCOHOL in those iced coffees for that to happen because none of them would budge.

This place is huge, very clean, the staff is friendly and fast. They weren't prepared for our extremely large group but they fixed up some tables pretty quickly.

I wished the girls were a little more scantily clad (hello that's the point right???)...but the karaoke and coffee more than makes this place interesting. I was sick all night after consuming 2 iced coffees and not to mention had the craziest dreams. No really, is that a shaved six footed pig on that hill there??????

Miss Cafe is a cool spot to hang out with friends, play games or relax and surf the net.  It's right by Pho 54 on Alum Rock and though it doesn't look like much on the outside, it's a huge oasis on the inside.  You'll be surprised at how big it is.

The drinks here are better than the other Vietnamese Coffee places I've been and the girls are pretty, though not the best.  Plus, last time, they were wearing regular dresses, not sexy lingerie.  We actually left cause we wanted more scenery with our conversation.

They did have karaoke there but I hear they weren't zoned for it so you should call first and check if karaoke is in your plans...

I'd go back but, I really hope they are dressed more sexy next time.

    See ya there! :)

PS  Park in the back... there's tons of parking and you won't get towed!

This was the third stop for Betty N.'s UYE event. Most of the people from Paloma came here. This place is big for a coffee shop. They serve a few Asian dishes here as well as some Vietnamese drinks. The waitresses were dressed in skimpy dresses. The place has a couple of huge flat screen TV's. It's also a place you can watch or perform karaoke.

When our group arrived, we all got some unsweetened iced tea. It was pretty good. The refills were complimentary which was good since I was very thirsty. Thankfully it was cool inside. I sat next to Betty N.'s best friend, Trang I think her name was. She was very nice and cool.

We all just hung out and like usual, lots of pics were taken and to my surprise, there was still some Grey Goose vodka leftover from Paloma! Wow, there were only two bottles and there was vodka leftover from a group of 40 plus yelpers? Unbelievable knowing how much yelpers like to drink! I declined a shot since I came solo and already had one margarita.

The crowd consisted of mostly young Asians. Not just in our group, but in the whole place. Not that I'm old, but by young, I mean people who are in their teens and twenties. On my way out, I noticed there was a separate area for smokers.

There is a $4.00 minimum drink purchase though. Most of the drinks are that price. The selection is limited. I didn't drink anything but the tea so don't know if the drinks are good or not. I did order an orange juice, but someone drank some of it when I went to the restroom. Next time I'll have to be more careful. I don't think it was on purpose, so whoever you are, I forgive you, lol.

This is one of the cleanest coffee shops - smoking area and lounge area are seperate.

Large area sometimes they have kareoke.

Also serve food which is pretty good. This place is nice because of two reasons:

    1. Very clean, trendy look
    2. Separate smoking area

This is probably the most respectable of the dozens of coffee shops in San Jose.  Here's a tip:  Let's say in a DOH! moment you accidentally let it be known to family and friends that you frequent Vietnamese coffee shops where waitresses in lingerie serve you coffee.  After enduring their reproachful glares, take them to Miss Cafe.

They'll walk into a beautifully decorated interior, where the smokers are separated from the non-smokers.  They'll listen to a very good sound system playing non-rap music 90% of the time.  They'll see more than a dozen flat screen TVs.  Most importantly, they'll be served by young, very pretty, sexy but fully clothed waitresses.  These girls are dressed for a night out at a club, not waiting to grab the pole at the pink poodle.

Once you convinced your family and friends you're not the nasty, filthy pervert they thought you were......you can go back to your regular Vietnamese coffee shop.  Problem solved......Life is good again.

From the outside, Miss Cafe doesn't look like anything special, but when you walk in you'll feel like you've walked into someplace in Vegas.  A lot of $$$ was spent to make this place look nice.  It has a casino vibe, with a ceiling painted with clouds and a blue sky.  There are game machines, flat screens with sports, a food and drink menu that doesn't rip you off, and an ATM machine right outside...as its cash only.  It's a place that clearly attracts lots of Vietnamese and Asian guys because of the wait staff (like all Vietnamese cafes), but I didn't get a creepy gangster vibe...wasn't choking from any cigarette smoke..and there were female tables as well.

This is a bit off-topic...but I have to mention, you CANNOT park your car in front of the Mountain Mikes Pizza next door.  This includes the spaces that are UNMARKED or with NO SIGN in front of it.  Park in Miss Cafe customer spaces only or behind the cafe.  My friend's car was towed in less than half an hour because the pizza manager (jerk) tows away cars in the lot even though there is no clear indication that half the parking lot (which is half-empty) is off limits.  Obviously, the manager is making money from this.  Why else would he be watching the half-empty lot? I have to wonder how many Miss Cafe customers have gotten their car towed the same way.  When we went to the towing lot, there was someone else there picking up his car, towed from the SAME LOCATION.  Ok I'm done.  Time to mess up Mountain Mike's yelp profile.

Checked this place out with a friend almost a year ago, after eating at Pho 54 next door.  Initial reaction was it was pretty big, lots of nice TV's all around, and plenty of places to sit.  Lots of parking in the back, place can get pretty crowded if there is a "big game" going on or a special holiday.  Its relatively clean, and the girls were alright when I went.

Didn't really come back cause Viet coffee shops aren't really my scene, don't think I'm old enough just to be hanging around regularly.  So I'm giving it 3 stars, 4 stars if they had hotter girls...

I come here with friends for coffee and the coffee is not bad. It's nice that there are 2 main rooms. I prefer the non smoking room, but sometimes it is so packed, we have to go into the room that is a little smoky.

Make sure you park in the back. If you park on the side, the pizza store next door will tow your car.

This was the last stop of the evening. Its one of the biggest coffee shops I been too and they had Karaoke. Overall a nice place to just hang out, catch up with friends, or play a deck of cards. I end just drinking the ice tea which was okay. From what I saw others ordered it looked good. Good place to go for a large group.

Let me bring sexy back since it's been so long Ive written one of these, please pardon my mistakes.

So after hearing about all the hoopla about the VCS (viet coffee shops) out in west minster and after having heard there are vcs in san jose, guys being guys got all excited. I just came out of St. stephens green watching a celtics championship game so during half time we decided to hit up a a vcs. So after calling up Joan H. and having her read up on several reviews and to help us out choose where to go. She suggested one on Tully and also Miss Cafe that she said had many great reviews about how hot the girls were and skimpy outfits they wore. So being semi drunk it felt like we were going to a strip club (although I've never been to one). She gets us the address and directions and when we get there we were welcomed with the front room where everyone and their momma was smoking their lungs out. The inside room which had AC was a better atmosphere. The girls wore club fits but nothing skanky. So if you just want to grab some mediocre viet food that maybe slightly higher by a dollar with some eye candy while you eat, then this is the place for you.

Enjoy your time especially for those who have yellow fever.

I normally tend to rip on places that don't serve beer--So I'm not gonna disrupt the consistency with this place--walked in there with a few friends after putting in some work on the keg-o-rator. We wanted more beer--we were given tea. I'm personally more into the latinas, so the skimpy-dressed asian chicks didn't do anything for me--despite the fact that they were eye-humping the shit out of my boys and me. She said "wow, you guys all have those beautiful eyebrows...are u guys related?" I thought to myself, "wow, you girls all have nice asses and the tits of a ten-year-old...are you by any chance related?" I downed a bowl of beef stew and bounced the fuck out--never to return. "I ain't never scared EASTSIDE"

Checked out this new coffee shop a couple days ago. Went through and the first room is for smokers, the second for non-smoking, which is cool. Don't really see many coffee shops with two rooms. Two LCD screens on the backroom where me and my friends played cards/chess. I had an avocado shake and it barely had any flavor. Also, most of us know we go to coffee shop for the girls, but this placed lacked nice looking ones.

viet coffee shop.  come here to check out the skimpy dressed waitresses.  the coffee is ok i guess.  too much ice.  the girls are hot.

this place is huge.  there are plasma tvs everywhere.  we usually sit at the smoking area.  thats the best part of this place is that there is a smoking area.  its not stuffy and is well ventilated as well.  but damn freezing during winter due to all the windows being open and no heat.

the crowd here is some time teeny bopper but at least no gangsters...

So has this place changed, or is it me? Seems much cleaner & trendier than before. Coffee is better than last time I was here, and there now seems to be more of an actual menu if you want to eat stuff. Wait staff is TOTAL eye-candy, while being friendly and attentive. And it's a minor thing, but I have to mention that in the evening, the girls bump some righteous tunes.

Sure why not. came here with my friends yesterday night great view probably one of the cleanest coffee shops i have ever been to. i ordered the strawberry milk shake and they also gave a lime with it??? made the drink taste a little citrisy or however you spell it. Pretty decent prices for drinks were not that great though. But hey your in a coffee shop to check out girls play cards and drink.
