Thumbs Middle (c) SA.

I don't know if I'll be back for breakfast, but I will be back to try their take on the Twin Cities' classic the Juicy Lucy.

We ordered a veggie burger and eggs/bacon/potatoes here.  Basic food, and they got it right.  My eggs were cooked perfectly - over medium, which no restaurant in los angeles seems to be able to do.  So, a plus there.  The bread was fresh, homemade, warm and tasty.  They also gave us homemade strawberry preserves.  I wasn't a huge fan of it, but it didn't taste bad by any means.  After having jam from Quality on 3rd, it's hard for anywhere to top it.

Our service was excellent.  The decor was nice.  It was quiet and not pretentious.  I would go there again.

I recommend!

Seriously good veggie burgers. I'm sure everything else is good too. The people there are really nice too.

Awesome place. Will go back again. And again.

not bad at all...

a decent brunch place on the strip of 3rd street ... more on the low key, less trendy end, esp when you have joan and toast within a few blocks from each other... i have to admit, i love trendy places but not all the time... it was one of those lazy, comfort days where you just want to catch up and eat as you please...

this is a perfect one short stop for an everyday brunch with so much to choose from... was a bit impressed with how many ways you could make your eggs, then, there's your toast/waffles and your everyday typicals. they even have mid week specials if you're craving something special or diff depending on your mood....

pancakes were fluffy which was very nice... :) fresh fruit, and overall, clean. prices were fairly average, roughly ~$7/plate...

if i had to mention one thing about this place, it would def have to be their artwork. even tho, im a huge fan of blk and white photography, i can always appreciate all types of art as long as it compliments the restaurant...

service was quite friendly, cheerful and easy to please...

Came here thinking it was Alfredo's Grill, but quickly discovered it was bought out and renamed to Mira'le.

We got 2 omelettes.  One was a build your own and was filled with chorizo, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese.  The other was a mexican/santa fe omelette served with a side of salsa, black beans, and slices of avocado.  You have a choice of potatoes or fruit as an accompaniment.  The omelettes were average, easily duplicated at home.  My chorizo could have been cooked a little longer because it was slightly mushy, unless it was the type of sausage they were using.  The french bread was good.  Served warm and toasty, it came with a couple ramekins of butter and strawberry jam (?).  I don't know if you can call it jam, because it was more like syrup.  It was supposed to be strawberry, but I couldn't taste any strawberry flavor, only the sweetness of the sugar.

For what it's worth I'd say the food is about 2.5, but the service was friendly and they do use fresh ingredients.

All the food was delicious.  My bf and I went there for lunch, and they gave us bread and some delicious homemade strawberry jam. The food and service was great.
the only thing that can be improved is the decor.  When we walked in there, it looked like a cheap deli, and was wonderfully surprised with the taste and quality of the food.

Hidden surprises, I love those surprises

ok. It was two of us, starving and our stomach stuck to the spine.
Our original destination was the Toast. It was around noon.
When we passed that place, it was filled with gazillions of people.
ok F this. We walked away.

Then, we ran across this really friendly looking lady.
Aww she was passing out fliers, of her restaurant's menu.
Grand OPENING!? yey! why not.

When we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by a bunch of artwork all around. Small, cozy place without that huge crowd of people. I loved the ambiance there. There were people just enjoying their food while reading books, people just chatting away with the nice lady, etc. It was so nice sitting in a very peaceful and calm place. Perfect for enjoying brunch.

After we ordered our food, the bread came out. The BREAD THAT THEY BAKED that was SOOOOO WARM!! You had to see how the butter melts on the bread. There is something very sensual about butter melting on the hot bread and tasting it. They also brought out a strawberry jelly that was really good.

I ordered Lox Platter. The bagel that they toasted was so warm that my cream cheese melted right on it. Tomatos, Onions and Salmon with Capers spread all over it. mmmmmmmmm!! We also ordered Alfredo's egg scrambles. The combination of Italian Sausage, Bacon, Scallions and Parseley was ab fab! I personally thought their sausage was very tasty.

This place used to be called Alfredo's. They closed and sold the place to the new lady. It just opened 10 days ago. Hope this place doesn't get too crowded soon cuz I am sure I would want to visit this place again for a yummy brunch.

Excellent neighborhood restaurant.  We stopped for lunch/breakfast. Two of us had the huevos rancheros. This is as good as that dish gets. Homemade salsa on top, two tortillas, black beans. My wife and her friend split something we'd never seen - a Caprese sandwich, i.e., fresh mozarella, basil and tomato on a soft small French roll. Very good. Bread basket contains a good if unspectacular French bread. Strawberry preserves and butter accompanies it.  My coffee was excellent, my friend's Cafe Latte was pronounced excellent also. Definitely recommended

Great service, wonderful food, moderate prices.  Check this place out immediately for breakfast or lunch.
The service was quick and friendly.  We had our coffee cups filled over and over; they brought over newly-filled cups of hot coffee when they thought our coffees had cooled.
We had the nicoise salad with real ahi tuna (not the canned stuff) and honey-mustard chicken wrap with an enormous (and delicious) side salad.  The bread is freshly baked on the premises and served with jam made right there, too.
The black and white photos on the wall elevated the atmosphere.

the turkey burger is amazing!!!  and for $1.00 more you get 1/2 an avocado on it.  i knew this place as the old alfredo's, and now its under new ownership.  the lady owner, did her rounds asking different customers how their meals were.  i feel like it was very personal, but not in an intrusive way.
service is a bit slow, but only because nothing is premade.  its a nice place with great prices.  and the lemonade was pretty kick ass too.
5 stars!

omg. i feel like this place is a hidden jem that nobody knows about! i had a friend in town, and we went out for brunch over the weekend. we walked on third st., walked by the restaurant toast, that had a million and one people waiting outside for a table. we were like, screw this, and walked a block to find another place. we stumbled upon mira'le, took a look at the menu, and decided to sit down inside. we were greeted by an older lady who was very pleasant at first, but then once we sat down she was kinda weird and sarcastic but meant no harm. she might be the owner, but not sure. our waitress was a very sweet lady though.
we ordered eggs florentine (poached egg on english muffin with spinach and artichoke hearts cream sauce), traditional eggs benedict and chorizo scramble. all three dishes were so delicious, especially the eggs florentine. oh my goodness, the sauce was soooo good. it's a cream sauce so it's a bit heavy but amazing.
the prices are totally reasonable and the atmosphere is laid-back and homey.
p.s. the home-baked bread and homemade strawberry jam are to die for. the waitress said that we are going to sleep walk back for it, which i think might happen.

i mean, i don't hate the place... the usual breakfast entree suspects, small patio with mosaic tables, poor service that's excusable because you feel like someone's Aunt is serving you.  but Mira'le was just not that memorable.  i'll keep this short because i feel silly reviewing a place so insignificant in my food journey in LA, but i felt it my social obligation to knock down inflated 5-star review this place gets.
On Third Street, Joan's is your Dean&Deluca-esque culinary mecca and Toast is your Hollywood scene.  Mira'le is the midpoint on Line Joan's-Toast, completely geographically, not in quality.

Love it. The chicken salad sandwich!  Best chicken salad - fresh, not over mayo-ed, delicious!!  And have it with the mashed potatoes. Super!  The owner is chatty and kind.  It feels like a real neighborhood spot....if only it was my neighborhood.
