Truthfully, I'd like to give Mioposto 3.5 stars.

I love their salad pizza, and the ambiance of the place is fab. A simple glass of red plus some of this non-goopy pizza is great. Good cookies too. It's just kind of small and special. You could eat here on your own if you wanted and not have a lonely feeling inside.

They aren't open that late, and outdoor seating (where, I don't know) would be awesome.

I live in the neighborhood and have frequented Mioposto for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the past two and a half years. I have always enjoyed their pizzas including the pinocchio, mushroom, and recently added squash.

There is a new problem (discovered after our mushroom pie came out looking like an oasis). Apparently their staff had a meeting about making their pies "more Italian style," which, according to our server includes less sauce, less cheese, and less everything. Italian style is just cheap.

The new solution: Remind the server you want it like is used to be - goodness.

I used to come here a lot  for lunch, but I ditched that awful job. Now I need to apologize to Mioposto for abandoning it. I will return at some point. All their pizzas are solid, and use great ingredients. The potato pizza is soft and perfectly done.

"Git in ma bel ayyyyy!" Is all I could say to my pizza.

We are considering a home in this hood and so decided to peruse the goings on and happened upon this little gem. We ordered a za that had potatoes on it... I can't remember what they called it but, God Bless America, it was effing good.

The atmosphere is so well planned out. Beautiful, light, and airy. Comfortable seating and great for families and romantics alike.

They even have coffee and breakfast sweets and savories to complete your eating experience.

I used to think that there was only pizza and coffee at Mioposto.

Wrong, Bucko!

Today, I gave both the Panino Del Coppa e Proscuitto (sandwich) and the Della Casa (salad) a try.  I immensely enjoyed both!

The Della Casa with carmelized onions in a vinaigrette was a flavorful and wonderful salad.  In addition to the proscuitto, the sandwich had fontina cheese, roma tomato, red onion and arugula,  The bun was soft and lightly (perfectly) herbed.  A satisfying combination of ingredients.

A plus that they have available several pitchers of ice water at the utensils counter to serve yourself as desired.

Friendly, quick and helpful service.

I'm going with five stars so as to emphasize the splendidness of my food today.  But perhaps on a future day, one that is not as sunny and awesome as today, I will find Mioposto's music too loud and be compelled to snatch back one of my stars.

I've been informed that I must give Mioposto 5 stars. This directive came from the harshest pizza critic in my family: my nearly-11-year-old daughter. And you know that kids (kids who were raised correctly, anyway) yeah, those kids know their pizza.

Is this place 5-star worthy? You betcha *wink*!

Why? Because they make simple, delicious, damn fine pie on a thin crispy crust. That's why.

Everything about Mioposto is simple. Nothing is over thought or over wrought. Notice how I did that?

Whatever. Just go. Get the potato pizza.

I ate the entire pizza myself! We each ordered a 10 inch and I thought there was no way I could eat the entire pizza, I was so wrong. I had the potato pizza and couldn't get enough! Great atmosphere, big open windows let the light and breeze in, it was awesome!

I think this is definitely overrated at 3.5 stars my rating is really 2.5 but I'm rounding up today for a change. I've been here 3 times, two times the exact same experience. Head banging music? check, utterly loud "cant hear the person next to me cacophony"? check. Overcooked, overpriced tiny pizzas with meager ingredients? check. The other time I went in the morning for coffee and a pastry. It was tranquil, the coffee and pasty were both very good. So to save your sanity and your money stop by in the morning for a latte and a bite but aviod the afternoon and evening.

This pizza place is very reminiscent of tutta bella but tucked into the Mt. Baker neighborhood which makes it more of a family type atmosphere.  The staff is amazing and so so friendly, helpful and overall kind.  You can tell they like the people and their work which is a great environment to step into with family.
The pizza is thin crust., 10"... so personal pan but easily shared and come out pipping hot and oh so good!  I felt the prices were reasonable and the selection good! i can't wait to go back and try more.

Previously my experience at Mioposto with the barristas/wait-staff was odd in that the females were oddly cold and unfriendly, while the males were not.

Well, that seems to have changed. I was in today, and the gal behind the counter was totally friendly, totally sociable, and extremely helpful.

1) First off, she was totally chatty and fun when I first walked in and was singing along to the James Brown funk playing in the background.

2) Second, she did her best to scrounge up quarters as change so I could go buy a paper, even though the register didn't have any quarters left in it.

3) It's [finally] hot out. She suggested an iced mocha vs the hot one I ordered. It totally hit the spot.

4) I was sitting reading about how the Mariners FINALLY canned their management (gee, you think?), and didn't notice she had finished making my beverage. She brought it out to me, along with silverware.

5) When I found that their ice water dispenser was empty, she offered for me to just sit down, she brought the ice water out, then went and refilled.

6) Did i mention she was totally friendly and nice?

The food was awesome as usual. I had another "ANGELI DELLA CASA" sandwich, and again the bread was hot and fresh and delish. This time I had the bbq chicken. OMFG so good!

And with the beautiful sunny day out, they had all their huge windows open on the green park across the street. Cool breeze + awesome food + great service = 5 stars.

This place has good light and is airy.  A bit echoic with all the windows, but today they had them open--very nice.  Many parents with kids here, siphoned off from the park.

Morning:  Decent lattes, OK pastries.

Lunch:  Pizzas have a lot of variety.  It would be nice if they were a little more crispy and had a little bit more wood flavor, but overall solid.

As noted on the door:  free wifi until 4pm.  Seems reasonable to me.

This place is so dang cute and quaint, and it is such a nice place to go to for a casual dinner and glass of wine. Seating is limited, but we've rarely had any problems getting a table.

The kitchen is open and facing the seating, and you can watch the cooks hand throwing your pizza. I love to order the Cold Antipasto Salad , and my man's fav dish is a personalized meaty pizza (they have a yummy crust).

Don't just try Mioposto for dinner.  They actually have a pretty tasty breakfast and espresso to get your day off to a great start!

Slightly off the beaten path neighborhood café/pizzeria in one of the most beautiful parts of Seattle.  I would say that their pizza is among the top two in the city... I used to say it was the best pizza I had had in the country...and it's a short walk from home!

This is a obviously a matter of personal preference, to some degree.  The crust is almost cracker thin and crispy, with a delicate sprinkling of salt around the edge.  Toppings are not heavy and overwhelming.  They have a monthly rotating pizza that is the result of a contest among clientele to come up with a novel pizza appropriate for the season.

Wine is poured well and comes at a reasonable price.  There's a small but respectable selection of reds and whites, as well as some beers on tap.  They now sell wine bottles to go with your pizza if you order take out.  This is particularly convenient if Urban Vines two doors down is already closed.

Two favorite pizzas/pizze: 1) patate (thin slices of potato caramelized atop a sheet of perfect dough), 2) zucca e pancetta (last fall: squash & pancetta... yummy)

NB: "Outdoor seating" consists of some Adirondack chairs for people sipping coffee and reading newspapers while looking out over Mt. Baker park.

We've been here twice now and I give it four stars for one thing: TASTY. (Spelled WITHOUT an "e," Fergie!)

The pizzas have a thin crust that I'm not always in the mood for, but when I am, I really am. They've stepped up the helpfulness and let us know that they were out of basil last night (Okay -- that's crazy, an Italian restaurant out of basil?!) and substituted pea greens which I didn't love but they were fresh and easy to toss aside. They happily added marinara to a pizza that didn't come with it originally. And the salad I ordered with chicken, artichoke hearts, and salami was divine.

Pizzas are very small, so order more than one if you're really hungry. We had an alarming night the first time with friends where we ordered for the group based on their suggestions, then were much too dainty to say "WE'RE STILL REALLY HUNGRY" since we didn't want to look like big fat pigs so we were the silent sufferers.

They have a pizza that has potatoes and onions on it and that sounds just disgusting, but it is divine.

The store itself is really cute and I love the giant, open windows, but the neighborhood, um, creeps me out a little. Very yuppy. I fear the rich!

Mioposto. Italian for "My Place" according to the Chow Foods website. According to me? Italian for "We don't give a bloody shit."

About a week ago, I thought about writing a mediocre review of Mioposto. I thought, "Three stars - four for food, two for service." The food I have had there has always been fresh and delicious. The service, however, is subpar at best.

First, there was the very friendly and helpful waiter who would nonetheless repeatedly forget to check on us. After this happened a few times, his heartfelt apologies no longer meant anything.

Then, the other day, my boyfriend and I popped in for brunch (on a Saturday) around 12. We discovered that they stop serving breakfast foods at 11 (on a Saturday? Who does this?), which was slightly annoying. What really pissed me off, however, was the girl behind the counter. BARELY acknowledging us, she told us she had "some quiche" left as far as breakfast went, and then went back to what she was doing (tidying or something). In spite of our obvious confusion and need for information, clarification, etc., she continued to ignore us. When my boyfriend asked, "I'm sorry, you said you had quiche?", she gestured at the chalkboard menu and said, "Yeah, we have some quiche left," and went back to tidying. I kid you not. Needless to say, we walked out.

Last night, we went for dinner. (The place is RIGHT next to our Pilates studio, the only reason we keep giving them chances.) Dinner was DELICIOUS, and lo and behold! A new, friendly, cute, AND attentive waiter! My heart soared! Finally, they were getting it right! I was SO pleased that I fully intended on ordering take out for tonight for myself and a friend of mine.

Well. Guess what. I have been calling them for half an hour tonight. The phone rings about 20 times and then goes to a fax machine.

Mioposto, I am through with you. You clearly don't care if you make your customers happy or not. All you care about is turning a buck for Chow Foods. I hope that you slowly lose all your customers and a restaurant with employees who CARES move in there. You suck and have let me down for the last time.

Mioposto seems to be the first successful restaurant in this jinxed corner location in the 20 years I've been keeping tabs so far. After tonight's dinner I can see why.

We had their Milanese salad and a pair of sandwiches for a light quick dinner. The salad was excellent -an upscale version of Piecora's house salad - with excellent meats, cheese and vegetables. A great start to a meal. The sandwiches were a mixed bag; the meatball sandwich brought back memories of delis in NY when I was a kid. It combined a roll with good texture, basic clean tasty mini meatballs and cheese with a simple sauce and I can have it on weekends.(Delis in NY couldn't serve hot food on weekends till the early 1970s due to "blue laws". It was worse in Boston.) The turkey sandwich was a bust, very uninspired and bland, but why would any sane person order a turkey sandwich in a pizza joint?

Oddly enough, the service was quite good: fast, efficient, attentive and out of my face. So perhaps things are changing. There were still plenty of self propelled baggage (aka rug rats) zipping around, but I don't mind them till they reach a threshold of pain beyond what our own two did to us.

All in all, if I add an older pizza review to today's rating then I'd say they've earned a 4 star final tally. Chalk it up to another improvement in the south end.

It's too bad this review isn't just about the food, otherwise they'd be in good shape.  This cozy joint across the street from Mount Baker park is an ideal location.  What's not ideal is the service level you receive.

My wife and I have taken many out-of-town guests here and typically leave wondering what went wrong.  When the cooks are your friendliest, most social, people in your restaurant... you have a problem.

The food is very good though so that's a huge saving grace.  I return because of that fact alone.  If the food was average you wouldn't get me back in the door.  It's a counter service in the day and table service at night.  Now if we could get the servers to pick up the pace, things would be so much better.

During our last visit our fresh squeezed lemonade arrived after our meals, which was after our salad.  The stromboli is very good and well priced and the pizzas are great.  The pie crust is thin and salty, but doesn't collapse in your hands.

They don't allow you to place take-out orders over the phone though.  Unfortunately you have to make it in person and wait for them to complete the order.  Too bad because then I could minimize the bad counter service interactions.

If you've known this corner for a long time, you remember it in all of its reincarnations.  Baker's Beach Cafe, Rose Club, blah blah blah.  Those places had their charm, but they never managed to stay consistently busy.  Somehow Mioposto has managed to break that failing streak.  They're doing both the morning coffee-and-pastry rush, but they've also got a solid dinner following as well.  But their success also has something to do with the complete gut-and-redo remodel they did before they opened, thanks to the deep pockets of Chow Foods, the Seattle restaurant pseudo-chain.

The food is ok and I think it's cute how they serve wine in little tumblers.  The best part about this place is seeing everybody walking their doggies and sitting outside on the Adirondack chairs in the summertime.  I like eating there when they open all the huge windows.  It makes me appreciate how beautiful Seattle neighborhoods can be.

This is the perfect little neighborhood pizza joint located in the heart of Mount Baker.  Situated on a corner, you get a great view of Mount Baker Park and all the passers by.  Tons of neighborhoodies stop here after a stroll although its worth the drive if you live in a surrounding area.

Start off with the bruschetta sampler where you choose 3 out of 4 or 5 different toppings.  You can go with your standard tomato, basil, mozzerella but my favorite is the Agro Dolce and goat cheese.  I could just eat this for dinner.  The house salad, although very simple, has enough flavor to make me go back for seconds.  Mom would be proud.  The thin crust, gourmet pizzas are super tasty and the perfect size to share with a friend or two.  I love the mini-meatball pizza which has cute little Italian sausage meatballs.  The prices are reasonable too.

The service is a kinda hit or miss but I usually don't mind waiting a bit in order to support my local businesses.  I wouldn't recommend take out though - they seem to prioritize their dine-ins first.  I waited over an hour once (yeah, for pizza and salad!).

My favorite thing about Mioposto are the huge windows that are completely open during the summer months.  With the gentle breeze blowing through, I can pretend I'm in Italy enjoying a glass of wine and some pizza.  For a minute anyway.

The easy access to Mioposto and its relation to the park should make this place a winner.  Unfortunately, it seems like it may suffer the fate of many before it.  For whatever reason, it doesn't seem to be a corner that a restaurant can last.

It has most of the right things going for it - great food, fantastic location, cute/trendy decor.  I enjoyed the mushroom pizza and a truly fantastic glass of iced-tea last time I was there.

But, unfortunately - there are some kinks.  I agree with the previous reviews, the service isn't great.  The prices seem high.  And the place is almost always packed with unruly children.

I have been here a few times for lattes and muffins, always great.  Last night was my first dinner experience. We ordered a large Cesar and 3 pizza's to share. The eggplant, goat cheese bacon pizza was my favorite and the meatball one came in a close second. I wasn't a huge fan of the pepperoni, olive combo one. The salad was excellent and the service was great. We shared the chocolate cake for desert and it was sinfully good. I needed a fork lift to get me out of the place.

I think this is a great neighborhood spot, but certainly not a destination establishment and I wouldn't rave about it the way my parents do. I enjoy the atmosphere and haven't had a bad experience but it is just mediocre in my humble opinion.

This is becoming a really nice neighborhood joint. It's probably not a place I'd go to for a formal dinner, but for lunch or to grab a bite to go this is a great place. The vibe is coffee house informal, with wooden tables and free wi-fi. So it's a good hang.

The Sandwiches are delicious, served on fresh Ciabatta and toasted in a brick oven. The meatball sandwich has just the right amount of sauce and zip to it. The mushroom (Del Fungo)Sandwich is like a really fancy garden burger with sauteed mushrooms, current and goat cheese.

This place is run by Chow Foods who also own many other well known Seattle restaurants like the Coastal Kitchen and the 5 Spot. And like those places the service can be a little uneven and slow, but usually friendly. I don't mind that so much in a place like this, but if you're in a hurry for lunch you might want to call in your sandwich order.

Mioposto, translates to "My Place",  isn't that neighborhood joint I was hoping would occupy that location.  I REALLY am all about supporting local businesses and all but since it is a chain, I don't feel guilty if I don't give it a second chance.  Why?  Let me count thy ways.

1) The server forgot to inform us that they ran out of arugala for the beet salad.  Only until I pointed it out did she share that information.
2) The extra pomodoro sauce we asked to help swallow the dry fungo stagionale came cold, refrigerator cold.
3) The bambini size pizza is a bit on the small side.  It should be noted that kids past the age of six should order a regular size because that dough is still pretty flimsy and where's the cheese?
4) The curb-side pick up?  Ummn, this isn't Burger Master.

The up-side of this place is that it does try to give back to the community by hosting face-painting festivals and such for kids.  But I think kids would also enjoy a nice size portion of pizza... with cheese.

Fantastic location, nice space, good parking available, friendly staff.  What's disappointing is the food.  It's not that it's bad, it's just unremarkable. If you want good pizza and great salads, for better prices, just drive down the street to Tutta Bella.

But if you're desperate for a family-friendly place with convenient parking and you could care less about eating, go to Mioposto.  It'll just hurt my heart to see you wasting calories this way.

This is my corner coffee shop. I call it a coffee shop because that's what I get there, 99% of the time (although the pizzas, the beet salad, and the goat cheese, pesto & egg breakfast sandwiches are great).  It's true that it's not speedy - I've had to wait upwards of 5 minutes for a drink when there are only a few drink orders in front of mine. But the staff know me and my drink, they're friendly and funny, and don't merely "put up with"  the enormous volume of children in here most days (due to the park across the street and a preschool around the corner). Also, they have a coffee card, so if you buy, what is it, 20 espresso drinks you get a pizza on the house. That's handy.

Mountbaker neighborhood doesn't really have any restaurants unless you want to drive over to Rainier.  Mioposto will now bring the food out to your car since there's never any parking around.  So, on a rainy day, it's a great place for a warm calzone, especially since you never have to leave your car...high class drive up.  It's owned by a large restaurant company so you can expect they have the experience and money to make a nice cozy restaurant.  It's little pricey but then again when you see the neighborhood, it's no surprise.  It's only blocks away from Lake Washington so it's a great place to get lunch for a picnic and head on over to the lake.

Found this place by driving by on the way to the Genesse dog park.  From the exterior we thought it was only a cafe.  However, stopped in and had a Prosciutto and Arugula pizza and the house salad.  The pizza is made in the gourmet style in a wood burning oven.  The crust was perfect: flaky yet slightly chewy with may be some fresh herbs or some type of seasoning.  They serve beer and wine.  In general, there were many other selections on the menu that sounded delicious and would be great for a quick informal meal while reading the newspaper.  The decor is clean, new, uncluttered, and well done with nice wood furniture that compliments the period in which the neighborhood was built .  Liked the fact that there were many seating options: a few round white marble tables, bar style seating, and the traditional rectangle table along the large windows looking out over a nice playground in a quite neighborhood.  The service was counter/runner style but the server behind the register attended to us several times anyway.  The restaurant was well staffed with young, hip, good looking, clear eyed, guys who were aware of the customers and made the effort to acknowledge their presence even when making a pizza or busing a table.

I hope to eat here again soon and have a few more different pizzas before may be making this a five star yelp review.
