Neighborhood: University DistrictI had just moved to Seattle and couldn't get into the Green Lake Primary care for at least another month, but they recommended Minute Clinic in the QFC in Univeristy Village. I was really skeptical, I mean it's a clinic in a grocery store, but I was SO impressed! The nicest nurse diagnosed me and really took the time to examine me and talk to me about my sickness. I was able to get the prescription filled at the pharmacy in QFC in about 15 minutes. Plus, since I'd just graduated from college and I didn't have insurance, they gave me a ton of coupons for my prescriptions so it was really inexpensive! To top it all off, a few days later I got a "Feel Better" card in the mail from my nurse. Totally excellent.

This is about the Northgate Minute Clinic.
I had a bad sore throat for two days, my ears were starting to hurt, I knew it wasn't the usual allergies or sinus infection.
I went, got very good, very human treatment from a nice ARNP named Desiree, who did a strep test, checked out everything and wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. I was in and out in 15 minutes.
And they took my insurance. (the total cash cost would have been $69).
A good idea done right.

Minute Clinic, you really save my arse yesterday.
I've felt like shit since Thursday, but if you know me, I avoid the doctor unless I am on my deathbed. Sunday morning I wake up, and can barely breathe and can't stop coughing.
My mom had mentioned that she came here the other week when her normal doctor was closed and needed to be seen ASAP.
Minute Clinic is a ARNP who can see you for things like flu shots, general "achies" and in my case, needing some medicine like no ones business.
Lo and behold, I have bronchitis - and since it's viral, the only thing they can give me is cough syrup w/ Codeine, and an inhaler to stop the wheezing.
Better than a kick in the pants.
It was way cheaper than if I had gone to an urgent care facility, and was also seen within 40 minutes (first come first serve basis). They also took Premera Blue Cross, so that rocked, too!

Great concept . The nurse was very professional, thorough and as someone else said you get meds on the spot to relieve what ails you. It's extremely clean - the nurse was constantly putting gel on her hands and wiping up after the slightest thing. I didn't have to wait at all when I went. I would definitely go in, no having to make an appt, wait in a doctor's office with other sick people, then wait in a tiny room, etc. And it's covered by most insurance companies.
