1 review for Minto's Pizza House
Midrange prices for a pizza/sub joint - Plain slices were $1.70 and the average sub looked to be $5.50. The parking lot outside is only four spaces or so, and it's tight enough with angled parking that you have to know where to turn in right away (oh I felt so clever about pulling in through the gas station... wait...)
Minto's Pizza House serves sicilian slices. However, they don't advertise that fact ahead of time. Had they done so, I would have saved $3.40 on lunch and made some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Why's that? I've never had great sicillian pizza. The crust is always uniform depth throughout, and you cannot fold a square - you just wind up creasing your meal.
Minto's is guilty of everything that is wrong with pizza served sicillian - the cheese/sauce ratio is far too high (either less cheese or more tomato sauce please), the crust is clinically prepared (wheres my New York Style crust edges?!), and all in all it feels like a lunch experience which I can pick up in the freezer section down at Harris Teeter.
Service was prompt and polite, they had a newspaper out on a table to occupy the time while waiting. Still, until they bring in the triangle, I won't be tempted to stop by again.
