Thai - not amazing, not crappy - right in the middle - a good meal.
Our group had the Pad Asparagus with shrimp, Tamarind Golden Scallop and Vegetarian Drunken Noodles - with Veggie Spring Rolls and Golden Tofu Salad to start. Veggie spring rolls had a fresh taste with a nice crunch, the peanut sauce was great - thick and tasty. Golden tofu salad was good as well - nice texture and flavor. Pad Asparagus was good, but the coconut milk on top didn't seem to go very well with the dish. Scallops were done perfectly - cooked, but still tender. The dish was a bit too sweet so I adjusted with a little of the roasted red pepper to give it more heat. The Drunken noodles looked good, but I didn't personally sample that dish, it was reported as good. Service was prompt and not invasive. Decor was clean and fresh. Prices were reasonable.
Bottom line - Good Thai food. Give it a try. This place has the potential to really break out into a great little restaurant - hopefully they'll continue to work on refining all the little details and won't slip into being just another cookie cutter Thai restaurant.
This place is no longer called Mint...it's now called Vannipa Thai Restaurant. It's under new management too.

I have to agree with everyone else here.
Food was just okay...or rather forgetable. How do I… Read more »
Probably the best Thai place in Northern Virginia.
This placed used to be NEISHA and I used to go there often, but I find the service to be lacking a bit....
It's not as friendly and hospitable as it used to be. The old manager (some Thai guy) used to be very attentive and even knew my name.
The satay is WAYYYY overpriced....it's $7 bucks for teeny skewers.
I don't go there anymore...they should have a lunch special, like bangkok golden in 7 corners...which is delicious & cheap

This place used to be Neisha, which was great.
However, Mint Thai is OK to me...

A good restaurant that makes the most of fresh ingredients. I particularly liked some of the vegetarian and seafood dishes. Mint's menu goes beyond traditional Thai food and everything I have had is very tasty.
It is a small restaurant and not the most fancy or private, but it has a cheerful, artsy decor. Note that parking in the Culmore shopping center can sometimes be a hassle due to several popular restaurants, but most of the time I've had no problem.
Take-out service is good and quite fast.
