So, here's the thing...
I had the pleasure of being introduced to the Boomtown Cafe(which is now The Daily City Cafe) by my father on a road trip. He had lived in Thompson Falls MT for nearly two years while working in the town. He became a regular at the restaurant, and I'm more than delighted that he shared this gem with me.
Yes, Thompson Falls MT is in the middle of nowhere, but if you happen to find yourself in that neck of the woods(literally) to check the Cafe out. The place is rustic, I'm talking hand carved grizzlies and old diner style bar. Next to the booths are pictures on miners and loggers that are turning grey and yellow with age.
The coffee is fan-fucking-tastic, the food, portions that will make your eyes water, the service, stunning, the owner works along side the waitstaff and is humble and genteel.
I had a bacon and cheese omelet, and I'll be damned if when the thing arrived there hand to of been half a lb of bacon in it. I couldn't even eat half of it. It came with crispy home fries and an english muffin, perfect start to the road trip.
Its worth the trip....
