A good Mexican restaurant should not be crammed into a remodeled house, then coated in mirrors. Since Minilla's is not a good Mexican restaurant, it is ok that that is the situation here.
This is the only Mexican place within walking distance for me which is why I've been there many times, and the food is completely unremarkable. I would highly recommend heading a little further up 38th to eat.
