This gallery is impressive to even the saviest art critic. I was amazed by the quality of the art, but I was awe inspired by the georgeous and spacious interior. The gallery is very modern and the art looks striking in the minimalist atmosphere. The gallery has high ceilings and a beautiful two toned color scheme.

The Mingei gallery is a gem in Escondido's downtown district and it is a sign that the art scene in the area is flourishing.

When Mingei first opened  a satellite museum I wasn't that excited. The Balboa Park location never impressed me much, so I thought it'd be just more of the same. It isn't.

They've been having pretty dope trunk shows and the current exhibition, "Folk Art of Mexico," is interesting. It's nice and colorful for those of you who like bright and shiny things!

Oh yeah, and every third Tuesday of the month is free.
