Mindport is a unique hands-on place where you can enjoy interactive and artistic exhibits. I've never been anywhere like it. They frequently have local artists showcasing their work. I could talk forever about the things they have to experience here but I believe that it is better to learn about the stuff there first hand. It is a two dollar donation (or was the last few times I have been there) and is a neat little gem in Bellingham.
Check it out... It is wonderful for rainy days or when you're showing guests around the 'Ham!
This is the perfect first or second date.
A quirky but happy marriage between art, science and exploration, this gallery space is interactive, engaging, and intriguing. Try recording a message in a phone that will play it back backwards, or make music with an electronic log, play with magnetism and optical illusions, or make ping pong balls zip through an overhead tube system.
The interactivity of Mindport avoids the awkward silences of a restaurant date and also the passive consumption of the movie theater where you just exist next to each other.
PS- this is great for other people and occasions too--kids, group excursion, you can't go wrong.
