Both of my kids are patients of this office. Dr. Chong was our original provider with Zoe and now Jason. We were in today for cleanings for both. My son, no problem. My daughter was terrified, but the dental assistant aka MVP (Alma) calmed her down, and completed all necessary check-up items with Zoe. She went above and beyond to make her comfortable along with the other staff. The cleaning tech was great too!! Kudos to the office for having the patience of Job. Love this office!! Highly recommended.

This is my second son to come through here.
In general they have been pretty good with both of my boys.
My oldest is nearing the end of his braces. While my youngest just started.
I will say their estimates for costs have been more then a bit off both times in the beginning. We delayed both times due to what seemed to be way too high of a cost when quoted and asked if it was right . Both times they told us it was so we decided to wait and eventually we got a call or a requote that was much more reasonable. I'd like to think it was just a mistake and not an attempt to just charge more the first time.
The care and visits have been good. My youngest boys teeth have already seen much improvement in just a short time!Helpful 10Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Yashira Natalia J.Milton, GA01Apr 24, 2024
I just moved to Ga so this looked like a nice place to take my kids. The staff is nice, however, when my 12 yr old son needed a procedure done, they said his insurance absolutely does not cover nitrous, that it only covers ages 9 and under. So I had to pay out of pocket for the nitrous. His next appt for fillings along with my daughter, again said the insurance doesn't cover nitrous. The insurance in a different state might be different but I wanted to be sure so I called my insurance. They said nitrous is covered 100% and no age limit. In fact, they had already sent a check for my son's last appt and covered the nitrous over a month ago. So this office had the money covering the nitrous from the first appt and still at this current appt (over a month later) are saying I would have to pay out of pocket. They finally checked my insurance (like they should have done to begin with) and said nitrous is covered. They had to give me a refund for the amount I paid out of pocket. I wonder how long they would have had me paying out of pocket (and keeping the money my insurance sends) if I hadn't called my insistence company and said anything. I was upset mainly because I always questioned the out of pocket costs but she was so adamant about insurance not covering nitrous under a certain age. She could have done her job and simply checked my plan. After my children's restoarrive appts are complete I'm looking for another office. People, please make sure you keep copies of treatments and payments. Don't just take their word for it. Also, the ortho side is just as bad, I had a consultation and I asked several times if the total price they are giving me is all I will be paying for (no surprise costs or more money if treatment goes over time expected) and she said "it shouldn't, no" I said "it shouldn't? or it won't at all?" She replied again, it shouldn't. I also heard an ortho patient that same day have a conversation with staff about her having to pay for something extra and she wasn't expecting that at all. I would go somewhere else for ortho too. My daughter goes to Dr. Koch and they are amazing and transparent!

I visited Dr. Patel at the recommendation of my fav dentist Dr. Nagar (SunFamily Dental also in Alpharetta). I have gum recession, and was seeing him to find out if getting braces would help or if he thought I would need a graft. He listened to all of my concerns and questions, and gave me great recommendations on next steps. He could have easily told me I needed to do braces again, but he didn't recommend. Nice guy! If I had to do it, this is where I would go. Clean office and friendly staff :)

Its all a show, they really dont care. Mr. Jay Patel was very rude, we will never go again to that place, and didnt even apologized....they apparently dont know that parents are the real client

Dr Patel and Dr Chong are some of the best folks in this industry. For my family they have answered any and all questions thoroughly. Every time we come and see them the visit is so pleasant. The service is always on point and we never have any surprises afterwards.
I wish more dentists were this professional. I have had the pleasure to refer more friends and family members to them and every one has had the same experience. We always attend the events they put on and have a great time with the staff.
If you are any near Alpharetta , Duluth, Johns Creek or Cumming. Make the drive to these guys. They are right off of Windward Pkwy and Hwy 9. You will love it from the beginning to the end. And hopefully if you say "Shan sent me" I can get some street cred at the office!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Anh D.Johns Creek, GA2717174Jul 15, 2021

It was my 2 year old daughter's first dental visit ever and she was as terrified as expected. The dental team was extremely patient with us, being very warm and welcoming each time we "reset" the visit after a cry session. They've got great bedside manners and after just a few tries, our daughter finally eased in and Dr. Chong took care of the rest. Absolutely pleased with how the first visit turned out - our chatterbox couldn't stop talking about how clean and shiny her teeth were the whole ride home!

We have been taking both our children to this office for about 4 years now. The staff is always very kind. Dr. Chong is very patient with our 5 year old and thorough with his exams. We have seen the hygienist Brandy the last two visits. She was awesome with my son. They talked the entire visit which made him more comfortable.

I brought my 4 year old to his first time visit. He did not let the doctor/nurses work because he was so scared. They tried to entertain him but it did not work much. It was not possible to take his dental pictures, only two were taken from the front teeth, the others were not posible because my son was scared. After the pictures my son got his cleaning done, he was still scared and moving so the cleaning was done so-so, I have to say. When they were done with the cleaning, the doctor came to see my son. She also had some trouble checking him since he was still nervous. After "checking" his teeth she said that he needed 4 baby root canals done in his second molars (both up and down) . I was so sad and scared with this news and since my boy was so nervous , he would have had to be sedated to get that work done. I was so afraid to sedate him because I have seen horror stories about sedating young kids. They send me to the front office and told me what was done, and had to be done for my son, they refered me to TEBO dental because GA orthi & childen dentistry do not do sedation. I left very worried and did another appointment at a different chidren dentistry. The doctor at this new place said that my son did not need anything right now, just bring him back in 6 months and if something is needed to be done then, we can sedate him. But right now he is fine.
Dont trust me if you want, but my advice is: Do not just listen to what they say, go and get 2nd and third opinions if possible.
I felt like this GA dentistry only wants to charge money, dont care for anthing else. Be safe.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
