i'm done with these people!

i was a customer for more than 5 years and was very pleased with the doctor that i had (stocker). the desk staff, however, not so much. here's the story: i went in for my annual exam and afterwards scheduled my appointment for the following year's exam. 11 1/2 months later i received a reminder message about the appointment which said that if i didn't confirm the appointment by a certain date my time could be forfeited. i didn't retrieve the message until after the confirmation date had passed so i figured i lost out and would have to reschedule.

when i went in to do that i was told that i would have to pay a $25 no-show fee before i would be allowed to reschedule. i mentioned the message that i received and the lady came back with "you called in on the day of the appointment and said that you would be late and then didn't show up at all." i did no such thing! the office is literally 30 seconds away from my house. when i asked who took my alleged call she looked at her call logs said it was another lady who wasn't there (it was her day off). she "remembered" the other lady mentioning my call...great way to treat a longtime customer!

i left and never came back. in the ensuing months i received: a notice rerequesting the no-show fee, another that requested the same PLUS a $10 late fee, and finally a "time to schedule your next appointment!" card. i did that...at a different place.

On my very FIRST VISIT, i arrive 15min early for my appointment at 3:30 with all the paperwork already completed.
I sat there and watch them assist 2-3 people that came there after 3:30 while completely skipping me.

So, i left at around 4pm kinda pissed.
then, i get a BILL for $25 for missed appointment.
I personally cannot review their optomistists since i NEVER SAW ONE.

However, based on this type of business practice and the way they service 1st time visitors.   Essentially, i went there to provide them with my information for them to bill me for nothing....

I would recommed everyone to AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!

Ugh...I am definitely not happy with this place.  I got a referral to this place from another doctor, and decided to go since it is close to my work place.

My appointment was on a Saturday afternoon, and when booking the appointment I made sure to ask if dialation will be done.  The receptionist said it will be included or I could pay an extra $36 to do their optomap.  I remember very clearly saying I would rather do the dialation. When I get there, early no less, they said they close at 2pm, and therefore, can not do my dialation since it requires time for the drops to work, but if I wanted, I could pay an extra $36 do the optomap.  I was pretty miffed about that...I had to make sure I had a ride to this appointment thinking I'd be a blind bat from the dialation and would not be able to drive.  I felt even more miffed about their shameless sales ploy to get me to do the optomap.  Are they that desperate to earn $36 that they must lie to their clients?

I had to schedule my appointment for 2 weeks later just to come back and do the dialation.   How inconvenient. I could not make my appointment and called the night before and left a message.  At 9 am in the morning, my "emergency contact" received a phone call from their office, telling him I was late.

WTF -- AN EMERGENCY CONTACT IS FOR EMERGENCIES, MORONS!!! AND I ALREADY CANCELLED!

I will update after I FINALLY get my dialation done.  Maybe my eyeballs will have fallen off by then, and those morons may not know whom to call.  Since according to them, emergency contacts are people to call when someone who is "late".

I've never gotten actual prescription glasses here yet but I did get my sunglasses here when they were having their summer sale. One of the few places I found that sell Coach eyewear.

The first time I came here was with my boyfriend when he was looking for glasses. He loves Oakley and they have a good selection of those here, sunglasses and prescription.

I recently got my eyes checked somewhere else and I wish I would have come here instead. Everyone seems so nice and helpful! But I am going to bring my prescription and get a new pair of glasses here because they have a great variety of designer glasses.

Taking off one star because no one greets you at all when you come in. Seriously, no one! A bit of a turn off...

I've been going to these folks since I can remember. All the doctors are great, and the technicians are all good humored and efficient. Two thumbs up, especially now that they have that device that photographs your retinas and lets 'em check for things like Type II Diabetes and glaucoma. Awesome!

Really nice workers. I've been going here since I was about 7 years old, when they were located on Abel St. Since then, they're group has expanded to this location. They went from plain jane white/cream offices to teal/blue aethetically pleasing interior decorations. They have a puzzle table for children to enjoy while you sit waiting patiently for your appointment.

They carry the latest technology for eyes; the latest in contact lens technology, a variety in cosmetic contacts (seriously, who wants sports team names and colors as their eyes?!), Lasik, new check-up processes (such as the image map and the one that blows air into your eyes, but with less force), Paragon CRT, etc. The doctors are well informed and keep themselves updated of the new technologies. They also carry an abundance of glasses from many designers as well as sunglasses in a seperate, but big, room next to waiting room.

Dr. Nicole Pham was my optometrist and she was really nice and knew how to answer your questions precise and clearly. There are three other O.D.'s situated in this practice as well. The workers there are very friendly and would gladly cater to one's needs.

I've been going here for 8 years now and would reccomend it to anybody who is in need of updating their presciption.  They use the latest imaging technologies for their eye exams including cataract screening and astigmatism.  Their selection in frames is impressive and they carry all major brands of contact lenses.  I started using Optix lenses before they were even advertised on TV because my Optometrist suggested them to me.

I have extremely dry eyes, and was a die-hard Biometrics 55 user.  The Optix lenses (when used properly, instead of monthly :)) are awesome.  I manage to still have healthy looking eyes at the end of a day in front of the computer (rather than red-eyed monster.)

I just had my eyes checked here. My optometrist, Nicole Pham, was very nice and patient in answering all my questions. The staff was also very friendly. The place made me feel comfortable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an optometrist.

I only have a discounted plan for lenses and frames so I'll be getting my glasses somewhere else where I am covered. But if I have insurance, I'll definitely get them here. They have a good selection and everyone was very helpful.
