I am sooooooo happy with my visit this morning for these two main reasons  A) everyone spoke English and B) they got me right in when I didn't have an apt-

I have a kidney infection and over the weekend I was in some serious pain, so today I had to find a Dr. ASAP-I looked through my insurance list and this place was on it, the receptionst gave me a time to come in but I couldn't make it and they had nothing else available-She asked what I needed to see a Dr. for and I mentioned I'm positive I have a kidney infection, she told me to get to their office as soon as possible and the Dr. would see me-

I get there and filled out my forms, gave my insurance over and  Dr. Klarquist himself came and brought me back to examination room-He was very nice, quick and made me want to come back to this office for any problems I have in the future-

He slid me in when he didn't have too and I really appreciated it-I've been here in Chicago since 2002 and this is the first office that I felt they knew what they were doing, receptionist didn't have an attiude and I didn't feel gross sitting in the waiting room-

Thank you  Dr. Klarquist for seeing me when I didn't have an appt, as well to the receptionist who was so nice to me over the phone-There have been so many times at other places where even being very sick they wouldn't see me, make me sit in the waiting room forever or truly didn't care what was wrong with me, this will be my new Dr's office-

This is a great place for medical one stop shopping.  I originally came to see Dr Jen, the chiropractor.  I picked them solely based on proximity to my office, and preferred provider by my insurance company.  Dr Jen is awesome, she is like a shaman.  You go in with pain, and she takes it away.

I do not have chronic problems, just periodic back pain related to stress mostly.  It is easy to get an appointment, and her massage therapists are fantastic, Steve is my favorite.

I have also started seeing Dr Klarquist who is an internal medicine doc.  Also very nice, knowledgeable, pragmatic, and not interested in loading you up with a bunch of tests you don't really need.

I had a bad experience with a member of the medical profession and now I would like to Yelp about it.  Granted, I've heard real horror stories about doctors and STDs and this is not a horror story but it was definitely bad nonetheless.

So anyway, me being the healthy sexually-active adult man who I am, naturally became concerned when I experienced intense itching throughout my groin and buttock region which only grew worse and worse the more I scratched until eventually there were bumps that truly truly frightened me.  I knew it wasn't lice, but I thought I might have veneral warts or the herp or maybe one of those other infectious diseases they tell kids about in their abstinence-only sex-ed classes.  After a couple months of trying several different itch creams, I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Tom Klarquist at the Millennium Wellness Group because of all those full-page ads Dr. Klarquist takes out in the local gay publications.  The ads seemed nice and made me feel like he would be a person I'd be comfortable discussing this issue with.

I saw the doctor and explained how I thought my itchy bumps might be warts or something more sinister.  Then Dr. Klarquist spent 10, maybe 15, seconds examining my problem.  No seriously, that is not an exaggeration.  It will take longer for you to read this Yelp post than the time he took with my actual examination.  He told me I did not have warts, but I did have two fissures "at 2 and 10 o'clock".  I don't know where 2 and 10 o'clock are on my body!  I was sitting there trying to mentally picture it.  I had no idea what he was talking about and neither did he.  I asked, "So the itching and the bumps are from fissures?  Because I thought fissures were something different than that."  He told me to get some Tucks pads and not to wipe my butt too vigorously before herding me out the door with an obvious misdiagnosis.  (FYI, it turned out to be jock itch.)  His demeanor is not mean or aggressive, just dismissive.

The worst part about it is that his ads that made me want to go to him in the first place are outright lies -- "The care you want.  The care you need.  The care you deserve."  "a doctor who understands the health issues unique to your lifestyle"  "a doctor you can talk to and a doctor who listens" -- all lies.

The receptionist is nice.  She deserves to work with a better doctor.

This office is awesome. As I was seeing Dr Jen who did wonders for my pain, I ended up seeing Dr Klarquist before I left for a trip. He is now my primary care phsyician and I have recommended him to others.

The office has an upbeat appeal.

I have been going to Dr. Jen Beverlin for a few years, and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Sitting behind a desk all day with poor posture is the main reason I need to see her. Leaving my office can be difficult sometimes, but they are so accomodating with appointments so it makes it real easy to get in and get adjusted.

Dr. Jen knows exactly what she is doing and I can be in and out of there in no time and feel SO much better. She gave me some exercises and stretches to strengthen my back and posture, and everytime I go she asks if I have been keeping up with them ;) But sometimes I just like going to see her - it feels much better than working out haha...

I love Millenium Wellness Group b/c unlike most chiropractic offices - they dont pressure you to come in appointment after appointment just for the hell of it. I am at the point now where I go see Dr. Jen on an as-needed basis; so I just call them up and stop in when I need to. I also love the fact that the entire office is so down-to-earth and kind. Dr. Jen is hilarious, caring and is always so positive, asks how my mom and neice are, etc.

Oh and referring people is a plus - you get free massages! The therapists are great. Gus is awesome.  I highly recommend Millenium Wellness Group - I always feel great when I leave, not just my back, neck and shoulders, but the people and how they treat you make you feel like you are more than just 'another patient'.

I have been a patient of Dr Jen Beverlin for several years now.  I have no complaints--my back, neck and shoulders take a lot of abuse as a full time desk-bound employee, full-time student and pottery enthusiast.  She keeps me in line.  Steve and Gus are great massage therapists as well.  In fact, Gus is the only MT I've encountered who doesn't tickle me at all!  (I'm VERY ticklish)  I highly recommend paying them a visit.

Though I was very happy with my previous chiro, I had to find one closer to my office downtown. Lucky for me, on the recommendation of another doc, I went to see Dr. Beverlin ("Jen") here, and as I type this, I feel SO much better than I have in weeks! Amazing what starting the day with a mini-massage and an adjustment will do for your Thursday... Very pleasant office, they definitely know what they're doing (I have low back/numbness issues and carpal tunnelish problems from typing), and I never have a problem getting an appointment. (Er, not yet, that is, don't everybody storm in at once, por favor...!) I'm one re-aligned and happy girl. Woot!

I have seen Dr Jen and swear she works miracles.  I have had ongoing issues with my back for a few years now and she always works wonders on me when I see her.  I highly recommend seeing her before wasting money on anyone else.
