This shop puts the nearby AA to shame in both ambiance and products.
Upon entering I was greeted by the friendly Kareem, a burst of potpourri, soft music, and noticed the latest batman flick currently an hour in and projecting on the left hand wall.

The store is split down the middle with women's clothing on the right and men's on the left.

I had a good time checking out the women's side while Kareem was very friendly and like to tell me all his favorite things about the clothes I was picking out.

It was fun not pushy or annoying.

I left with a HELLZ hoody on sale for only $40. This item retails at $100. This line is pretty pricey and edgy, this is the first place I've seen selling it in C-bus. Of course, yelpers let me know if I am wrong so I can shop some more!

They also feature another pretty pricey and trendy yet not to over the top line, insight. I like alot of the stuff and purchased a rouched sports jacket on sale for $30.

Judging by the brands and quality the regular priced items were not unreasonable just not in my budget.

While checking out Kareem informed me of new items he anticipated coming in for spring and to check out the next issue of Columbus Alive in which Milk Bar was awarded best new boutique and number one for friendliest service.

I am not surprised.

This was a much needed store for the neighborhood.  I'll need to watch my back for letting the secret out, but you know those hip well dressed kids you see everywhere?  You know how you want to dress like them but can't figure out how to do it?  Milk Bar is how you do it.
A knowledgeable staff that's up on trends.  With out a doubt, the most fashion forward shop in the Short North.

The connection to Clockwork Orange wasn't instant for me; I guess I'm not a diehard. But anyone who is down for dystopia is down with me.

I can't believe how swanky the boys who own this place are. I'm very impressed by their shiny black floor - so shiny you tiptoe as though you might slip on it. I'm impressed by the gold mannequins. I'm impressed by the spray painted accents in the shop. I'm impressed by the vibe they're helping create in the north end of the Short North. I think more people go to Milk Bar to hang out than they do to shop. Milk Bar is constantly throwing some kind of party or trunk show. They actively draw people to their store by making it a fun environment. If you drive down on a Saturday night, you'll see people crossing back and forth like it's a bar scene, making the connection to Clockwork Orange apparent.

The fashion at Milk Bar is bold. This is not your understated basic. The clothes are almost over-trend, to the point where you might not understand it, but you want to. They're borderline grunge, borderline preppy. It makes for a very British feel - another connection to Clockwork Orange?

For me, it's all in the details. Look at the stitching on the pants or the lining on the jackets. That's quality, my friend.

The prices are friendly; the owners are friendly. And if you would've seen the storefront before these fellas moved in, you'd be sold as well. These guys have work ethic, fashion sense, and an ability to connect. Happy one year anniversary, Milk Bar!

If you stumbled in to Milk Bar in search of a psychoactive dairy cocktail that'll send you headlong in to an acid-fueled killing spree, you're in the wrong place. I'd recommend a trip to the Bier Stube for something along those lines, as the number of drifters and petty street filth that muddle about in that bar's parking lot may have better insight in to the origins of such a thing than the staff here. If you're looking for modern hip-hop and punk fashions that won't put a huge dent in your wallet, you're definitely in the right place.

Where the now defunct Industry Standard boutique floundered due to asinine prices and often gaudy goods, Milk Bar excels with slightly more low-key styles at much tastier prices. After getting the lowdown from Connie (if you read this and I butchered your name, I sincerely apologize), I got the vibe that Milk Bar is a more progressive, user-friendly alternative to Short North boutiques like Dr Mojoe and G & Co. The music was better, the prices were better, and the brands were favorably obscure and cutting edge. Sounds like a recipe for success to me!

Another cool thing I learned about Milk Bar is that their roomy sales floor also hosts a kickin' PBR-sponsored Gallery Hop party on the first Saturday of every month. With free beers and a live DJ's running the show, I think Milk Bar is the perfect yuppy-free  place to kick the premiere Columbus arts event that is the Gallery Hop!

Men's and women's contemporary clothing boutique. Really fun modern punk/hip-hop/skater fashions. Friendly employees. Dig this place.

These guys do a great job of cycling items in and out of rotation while maintaining a high standard of appeal for the clothes they have on display. Even with the monthly gallery hop events Milk Bar hosts, the store remains spotless during business hours. The result: a high standard of fashion (with an equally high level of knowledge from its owners) in an almost surgical setting.
