Eat the Muma!  How could you not love a cream cheese and pepper filled burger?  Mile High's tots are tasty and their portions are huge!  Great daily specials and lots of interesting menu choices.

The Millie High Grill is worth every second of the drive to Jerome! The service is amazing, the food was great, and the artistic flair of the city adds to the charm.

We satyed in the Memories of the Heart Room....a bit pricey but that's to be expected in a tourist town.  It wasn't huge but we had our own bathroom and a great view of the mountains.  We stayed for one night (friday) and had a chance to really enjoy the Jerome night life.  I've heard stories of the Inn being haunted but didn't experience anything paranormal.

When you stay at the Inn you get either their basic breakfast of $5 off any other breakfast which was great.  The food was delicious but the service wasn't great.  We waited for quite a while before anyone came to our table and the server forgot part of my order (which turned out okay really because I got so full anyways).   Overall, 4 stars because the Inn was great but the grill could've been better.

Visited MH in March '08 around 8a.  Was told to sit anywhere I wanted, so I chose a booth.  I was hungry, had friends who chose to eat in the hotel room, and I was in a time crunch.  Five minutes (or more) passed, and no one greeted me.  I decided I'd sit at the counter hoping that would speed up service.  Another five minutes passed and still no one came by, and I was thirsty.  As far as I could tell, the few people there already had food in front of them, with a one-top looking at a menu.  Finally, after waiting 15 minutes or more, I finally was greeted by a server.

I ordered water and 1 buttermilk pancake w/ blueberries, no powdered sugar, and this pancake took 12 minutes to arrive.  The pancake was HUGE, at least 8" in diameter.  Yet, I'd say there was maybe only 1.5 tablespoons or less of blueberries.  Skimpy, if you ask me.  I also recall that about half of the pancake was still uncooked (wet batter).  Bad service and poor presentation.  I was so disappointed in making such a terrible choice, as I had passed so many other breakfast spots to try this one.

Should I ever be in the area again, and if nothing else is conveniently close to dine at, I might try other menu selections, but I doubt I'll be visiting this one-star establishment anytime soon.

"Where can we get a good Bloody Mary and some brunch in the same place?" The Connor Hotel Ladies said immediately, "The Mile High." Sooooooo goood.  As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the bartender, and 2 of the servers who were walking by serving plates to other customers. Loves it.  We seated ourselves, and were brought menus instantaneously, and when we ordered our Bloody Marys, the bartender called out to us to see how spicy we liked em. I really enjoyed this rapport. Some people like to eat and be left alone, and I sometimes feel that way, but the staff here was just so warm, it was like we were eating over at their house. The Bloody Marys were made with their house premix which had ample horseradish, pepper, worcesteshire and other mysterious delicious things (I'm sure), a pepper-infused vodka, and adorned with olives and a dill spear.  I'm a big fan of the horseradish, not so much for my gf, but after she knocked the flavor up with some fresh lime wedges, she sucked hers down faster than me.  If they were down the street from my house, I would definitely make a beeline when a craving hit for this brunch cocktail staple. We were really undecided about food, as everything sounded just so damn good! Our waitress was super chill, but didn't forget about us, regularly checking -with a smile- to see if we had figured it out.  We finally decided on the Mary Wills - their version of huevos rancheros, and Dennis's Scramble - green chiles, mushrooms, kielbasa and eggs, and CHEESE.  I like cheese.  Ok, the food came out, perfectly cooked, hot and deeelicious.  The huevos rancheros were creatively plated with a corn tortilla round on the bottom of the skillet, cheese, black beans, eggs, more cheese, another tortilla round, topped with red chile sauce, with home fries lining the outside of the plate gettin a little saucy themselves. On the side was a nice scoop of fresh avocado, sour cream and pico de gallo, as well as a warm flour tortilla.  What I really liked was the size of the plate. It wasn't some gigantor plate loaded up with so much food you might explode if you ate it all. It was just enough to be satisfying, and make your fork quiver going in for that last bite. Definitely cleaned the plate with a big sigh. My gf got the Dennis's Scramble, and she was very happy with it, although she snagged some of my pico and tortilla to liven it up a bit. The kielbasa was super tasty. The home fries were really good, a little on the oily side, but still crispy and well-seasoned.  Everything was very fresh and delicious and the service really spot-on.  I wish it was here, but maybe it wouldn't be the same. I do know I will definitely become a regular at this place for my soon to be more frequent trips up to Jerome.

We came here after walking out on crappy service elsewhere in Jerome. The lunchtime crowd we'd seen earlier had started to clear out, and we were seated quickly. Our waitress was friendly and prompt - a complete 180 from the place we'd just left. The food was very good - everybody else got a burger, and I had the one vegetarian entree on the menu, which was very tasty. I wasn't a fan of the bland acoustic music being piped in, but it wasn't intrusive. Good food, good prices, and a great server really made our day!

Oh man, I get super excited when I find veggie burgers that are not the usual Boca crap. At Mile High Inn you can substitute a veggie burger for any hamburger and man, they have some good, spicy choices. The veggie burger I had was awesome and I ordered it with fresh fruit instead of fries. They get their fruit delivered fresh so they never quite know what they are going to have on a weekly basis. I even had fresh figs in the mix!

I would say the only negatives are that it is a little pricey for a burger...like ten bucks range instead of 7 bucks range..which isn't too pricey unless you are poor like me and then if you are going to be healthy and substitute fruit it'll cost you about two bucks more. In addition, when I was there they seemed to be between shifts or something because service was particularly slow. The server was nice about it and sorry, but service was seriously slow. I think it was just an off afternoon though. I would still go back in a heartbeat.

If my friends and I had more time, we would be ghost hunters. We're really into the supernatural and shriek in delight when we've captured an orb on film -- yes, I realize we're silly.

Four of us spent the night in Jerome, a small town known for its paranormal activity, a few months ago and checked into the Mile High Inn. First off, this isn't your average hotel. There are only seven rooms and they all have one bed. So we checked into two rooms that night -- the amusingly titled Dance Romance and Lariet & Lace -- since we all didn't want to share a bed. Plus, the rooms weren't expensive. They were under $100 when we were there.

Although we were later told that Dance Romance had the most supernatural stories, my room, Lariet & Lace gave us a bit of a surprise. We saw  our VERY heavy door shut twice on its own, ultimately locking us out. Thankfully we had the key with us. But the odd thing was that this wasn't a normal hotel door lock with the key card. You needed an antique key to lock the door and the door can't lock on its own without someone behind it, but it did. On top of that our bathroom rug was folded into some strange pattern twice and we caught a couple of orbs in our photos. It wasn't enough to scare us but it certainly did surprise us, especially when we were sober and couldn't blame any of the strange happenings on the alcohol.

Whether you're looking for your own supernatural story or seeking a fun getaway, the Mile High Inn is a fabulous hotel to stay in just for its old-fashioned vibe. The owners are extremely nice and there is a great restaurant and bar downstairs that featured karaoke on the Saturday night we were there and a killer breakfast the next morning.

This place came highly recommended from friends in Phoenix. Much to our dissapointment, this place was just awful. We came in for breakfast at around 10 and the place had serveral people dining. It was not very crowded. We were told we could sit wherever. We patiently waited about 10 minutes just to get menus. Then another 15 to get someone to take our drink order. There were plenty of people working. They all seemed to be more interested in chatting at the bar instead of waiting on people. The server we had was totally snotty. Terrible service. When we got our breakfast it was boring, greasy and over cooked. Next time we go to Jerome, we will definately try somewhere else.

The salads were pretty good, and the servings huge as always. Beautiful historic building.

Jerome is a very pretty town perched high on a hill. As you wind up the hill, you get above the snow line. Some of the streets have waist high grass, some are covered in snow and ice, and the main ones are cleared. You'd have to be brave to live in some of the more run down houses that look like there's only a few fibres left in the centre of their wooden beams. If I was loaded, I'd just love to do one up. The views would be awesome.

I would go back to Jerome, AZ in a heartbeat. I was there on an "off" day and literally had the whole hotel to myself. I stayed in the room called "Lariat and Lace" and sunk into one of the most comfortable beds I've even slept in. The place was spotless. Since the restaurant was closed, I went out for dinner at one of the other places in town, Suzy's I think. Another fine establishment.
Thank God Jerome sits precariously on a mountain ledge and thus will prevent further development and gentrification which always happens in old, funky artistic enclaves like Taos, Sedona, Durango ande Telluride. The hippies move in, make it interesting, word gets out, the Hollywood jet set move in and buy their 2nd or 3rd home and spend less than 2 weeks a year there, this drives up property values and the people who made the place interesting and groovy in the first place can no longer afford to live there.
Jerome Rocks!

This place had quite possibly the best food I have had in Arizona.  I had their prime rib on ciabatta and my son had the chicken quesdilla.  Both were flooding with flavor.  I would drive up to Jerome just to eat at this place.
