3 reviews for Milanese Spanish Restaurant
Honestly, this is just a little "hole in the wall" place across from the Amalgamated Bank building. It is quite easy to walk by this place, but in my one experience there, it has been worth it to go in a grab a quick lunch at least. It is certainly an authentic Spanish restaurant with plenty of spanish food to choose from -- both for breakfast and lunch.
Although I am skeptical many times to order a cuban sandwich in many places, I decided to try this one here. What I liked about the sandwich in this place is that the pork was cut up or shredded rather than just a hunk of pork put on top of the sandwich which I find to be hard to eat and usually dry.
It made for a quick, inexpensive and ethnic lunch -- something a little different from the norm.
You should never be smacked in the head with a cockroach while eating uncooked pernil.
Overpriced, undercooked, dirty, rude individuals.
I've eaten here a lot of times, until I figured out the better options in the neighborhood.
Don't waste your $9 on a meal here.
This place was recommended with a lot of enthusiasm as a good alternative for the usual lunch. I had a pork, rice and bean dish that was very enjoyable. Milanese certainly seems quite authentic and I really did not have any complaints. I'll have to visit later this week to elaborate on my review.
