I came here on a recommendation from a friend. This is a wonderful little place and I dearly wish I lived nearby to take advantage of their new mom tea gatherings and their nannyshare room.
They have a nice selection of fair trade and organic, as well as, locally made items. Which is a great if you're looking for something a little different for your little one. Lots of options for baby carriers and diaper covers.
I do agree the parking is a bit challenging, but I lucked out and found parking right across the street.
They had a decent selection of local made clothes. Of course the play area was a hit, and the variety of slings and carriers they stocked. But all in all it was similar to many other Portland boutiques, there was no real stand out for me.
Parking is hard to come by as it is only street side.
I really like this place. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. They have a nice selection of cloth diaper options and a small selection of clothing and toys. But mostly I like it because they sell the nosefrida nasal aspirator and the Ergo. A lot of places carry the Ergo but at Milagros they let you load your baby into it and give it a test run -- way better than trying to figure how to get your baby in it from the dvd. Milagros is the only place in Portland to carry the nosefrida. The nosefrida is something that I never imagined I would ever use but now can't survive without (it seems pretty gross at first but it works really well). Big kudos to Milagros for carrying it!
This place is pretty cool. They have consignment and new baby clothing, and they're conveniently located by Whole Mama Whole Child (chiropractic, craniosacral, and massage services for pregnant and postpartum women).
I got my Ergo baby carrier here. They have tons of carriers and let you try them out, but the Ergo is awesome - it is the only comfortable carrier I have found (the third I've owned, too).
The consignment stuff is pretty cool, but I do wish they had a bit more variety and more stocked. I can see how they just don't have room, though.
I just love this place. I really appreciate their wide range of pricepoints and friendly staff. I purchased a Baby Hawk (the best baby carrier in the world), and received an entire demonstration on how to strap it on. Priceless for a first-time mama with a baby who loathes slings!
i was so happy to find this store in walking distance to my house! i was seeking a baby carrier and the woman who worked there was super helpful. they have all the carriers in a basket so you can try them out (i got the ergo - soooo comfy). i also thought it was great that they have a changing table w/ mirror in the dressing room. i was able to take my infant in there to try on a top and he could just chill on the changing pad! so thoughtful. some consignment clothes and misc baby items round out the merchandise.
