Crawfish here is pretty decent sized and cheap for 6.99 per pound. I recommend getting mild because the spicy is extremely spicy and a challenge to eat. Only downside is that they don't really hand you any sauces with the crawfish and there are none on the table.
The seafood cocktail is one of my favorites here and comes with chips.
Service is pretty decent here but when it's busy they tend to forget some items.
Overall I would give them 4 stars and I will keep coming back here!

I couldn't wait to get out of this restaurant to write this review.
We are in Houston for the holidays and were exited to try this place and have a very rare lunch date without our baby.

First, they took forever to bring our food out, and when they did, it was just my husband's, and not mine, and his was all wrong. He had to send it back. When my food finally did come out, it was dry and tasteless. I ordered a grilled tilapia extra spicy. I actually said to the guy make it spicy as you can. It didn't have any spice but it sure was overcooked and dry.

The sides that I received were fried rice, and onion rings. The fried rice should have just been called regular ass rice with some peas and carrots. Also completely tasteless. The highlight of my meal were the onion rings. The the onion rings, tasted like regular Cisco frozen onion rings like I had in my dorm cafeteria years ago. They were literally the best thing I ate.

As I'm sitting there, enjoying this fabulous meal, I get an overwhelming smell of detergent cleaner. It was not a good smell. Very strong. The smell was similar to how you feel sitting next to an old lady who wore way too much perfume and you're gasping for air. But it smelled worse. That, along with the smell of dirty water used to wipe off the table took this dining experience over the top for me.

Either my taste buds are broken, or people in Houston need to figure out that there's better places to eat.

Pictures can be deceiving. It was NOT GOOD AT ALL.

Crawfish price is good here; $5.99 per lb and for every 5 lbs you buy, you get 1 extra lb free so it is 30 bucks for 6 lbs, or $5 per lb. If you wanna make your crawfish garlicky, add $1 per lb.

My boyfriend and I stopped by on a Sunday evening to get crawfish (5 lbs plus 1 lb free) and a fried "2 fish & 6 oysters" platter. The tab was $43.....not too bad, right? We decided to take the foods home because this place was a little bit smelly. Dont get me wrong though! The smell was NOT too bad or unbearable that I would have no problem dining in if I had to.

On the foods, the crawfish was fresh and most of them were in pretty good sizes; one word, YUMMY! The fried platter came with 1 fried tilapia, 1 fried catfish, and 6 fried oysters, with hush puppies and fries. Everything was battered in cornmeal, which I did not really like, but the catfish was pretty good. Except for the catfish, everything else on the fried platter was just A-OK, and the fries was a little soggy.

On a side note, my boyfriend got a really bad allergy starting on the night after having the crawfish from here. According to the doctor, the allergy may have been caused by some contaminated seafood (the crawfish maybe, or maybe not?!) Oh well.....i ono *shrug* Anyways, if the allergy problem did not happen, we most likely would go back for more crawfish, but now.....nah. I'm sorry, Fresh Catch! :(

I like the food at mikes seafood ...the prices are reasonable....the michaeladas , oyster and crawfish are solid...there are several negatives, such as the area is shady, and the decor is gloomy .

We've been getting crawfish from this place for all of our family crawfish boils. It's close by, and it's a pretty good deal. On most days, a pound of seasoned crawfish costs about $3.50. They're currently running a deal on Tuesdays and Wednesdays where a pound is $2.99. The seasoning's actually pretty darn good, albeit a bit saltier than I would like. Beer does a great job of washing it down though, so be sure to order a round of that when having yourself several pounds of crawfish.

I've heard the size of crawfish is hit-or-miss; tonight, the crawfish was on the small side, making it almost not worth eating for all the effort I put into peeling those little critters. However, my aunts claim that other times they've patronized the crawfish joint, they've come across crawfish that were satisfyingly large and juicy.

They also have popcorn shrimp on the menu; an order of popcorn shrimp and fries will cost you $2.99. We also tried their corn tonight, but this was way too salty. (Great spiciness though!)

No vacancies at any table, line from the registers out the door, Mike's Seafood don't care about your bad reviews and low ratings!!! With that being said, can't go wrong with the fried catfish platter, always delicious. They're packed on a Tuesday evening, imagine how hectic it gets Friday-Sunday, I'm not so brave.

      They just have great seafood.

What got my brother and i in the door was the $2.99 for 40-50 pieces of popcorn shrimp advertised on the glass windows in big bold yellow letters. It's hard to miss when you're driving on highway 6., Aside to the shirmp it comes with fries, hush puppies and a slice of bread. It was cheap and fried. I'm a sucker for fried foods.

We both got a box to go and to say the least we were satisfied. It's a good price for what it is. The shrimp aren't huge but they're not tiny. They are jusssssssst right, but there are plenty of them. I guess it would be good to document how big they are in terms of shrimp count per pound. As far as i'm concerned, i've always got my shrimp newly fried - you always have to wait for your food, but that's a good thing. I've always made it a habit to call in my togo orders. I actually have it as a contact on my phone.

All the fried foods are fried cajun style - with a cornmeal batter. Works for me. My parents aren't really fond of fried seafood much, but they have grown fond of the little shop bringing home fried fish and shrimp more than usual.

I hear they have great crawfish for a really cheap price when on season from friends, but I have yet to try it. They have cheap bottled beers too.

At first glance at the restaurant you would think it's just a fish market but it's much more than that-although they do have a small variety of fish behind the glass which i think you can order.

      Great food
      Crappy service

Hate that they don't have a PA system to announce orders. It's just so inconvenient and impractical to yell it out when it is so loud with guests/customers.
Also, the girl who took our order had a horrible attitude and was extremely rude.

I ordered take out at 3:45 for 6lbs of crawfish and asked when it will be ready by .."about 15 - 20 mins." I said, "Oh great, I might be 5 mins late. Thanks."

Got there at 4:15, waited till 4:45 to get my take out order. Wtf?? It was a Monday, not a weekend. Absolutely ridiculous.

Note to everyone, when you order take out, get there late.
Mayonnaise and seasoning cost a lot to them, they are quite stingy about it. There are too many great crawfish places for me to put up with this crap!!!

I wasn't really impressed by this meal. It was a good fish dinner but nothing to write home about. The star was the ceviche. The ceviche was very fresh and the avocado balanced it out wonderfully. I am sad to hear that they closed because if I were in the area I would've definitely given them another try,
