Several years ago, I had a car that needed a lot of maintenance to get back into shape. I didn't have a trusted mechanic, so I trolled for coupons and took the car to several different shops to get various repairs. With the exception of Mike's, each shop informed me of lots of expensive repairs that also needed to be done, and each set of repairs was different from the others. Either this car was about to fall apart, or they were all looking for more business.

Mike's was the exception. After a minor repair, I went to pick up the car. The person who spoke with me was Mike, not just some employee for a corporate entity. The price was low, and he didn't push other repairs on me. I asked if he could check the long lists that other shops provided. When I came back, he told me that none of the repairs were necessary.

Since that day, I have gone back to Mike's many times for several vehicles. Every time, I am amazed by the low price (often hundreds of dollars less than expected) and the quick turnaround. Mike has earned my trust, and is the only shop in town that I would bring my car and truck.
