Great lunch specials available - all for only $6.95.  They have two topping pizza and house salad, 1/4 pound cheeseburger and salad, 1/2 French dip sandwich and salad, and other choices.  Regular full menu also available.

My only complaint is they are always busy for lunch AND if you eat at a table, they now won't bring your salad to you before they bring your pizza.  You receive it ALL at the same time.  Not a good decision.

Otherwise, it is good to eat - go at least once a week!

You know, I just don't get the Duffy's thing.  My family members go absolute ape raisins over this place and I don't know why.  This would apply to the Kirkwood one as well.

For starters the Decor is dreary, I really don's see how anyone could eat here and not leave depressed.  They really should do a study on Mike Duffy patrons and suicide rates.  The outcomes are probably going to be alarming, and I am sure the results would have a p-value around .005 which of course is statistically significant as we all know.  Both the Kirkwood, and Chesterfield place are too green, or dark, or pub overboard.  The place seems smoky and dingy too.  No smoking establishment, but you would swear it was smoke filled.

Speaking of starters, lets go to the starters... Apps.  I am a wing nut, and I like to try every bar and grills wings I visit.  Duffy's wings are ok, nothing great, and very disappointing for a local B&G.  I always say good wings are key to a good B&G, its a failsafe mode for food.  Pretty lame, and the flavor of either the chicken, or wing sauce reminded me of the smell of my grandmas basement.  Weird huh?  I'm not trying to be rude, but they did have a really weird taste.  Couldn't put my finger on it.  Maybe the wings had freezer burn, I don't know.  I do know that the Kirkwood one always smells like chili, and old people.

On to the din-din.  Burgers?  To all you wanna be restauranteurs out there, if you claim to have the best burgers you better damn well back that up.  Their burgers aren't as great as everyone claims.  Nothing really creative, pretty run of the mill char grilled burger.  Dry, crusty and boring. PS, who do I have to kill to actually get all of my condiments with my burger without asking twice?

Pizza is good, but this is STL you could throw a rock and hit 10 restaurants that serve thin crust pizza.  TCP is played out, don't rely on pizza when there is a flipping IMO's down the road.  That's like saying you have the best fried rice in china town.

I don't know, maybe if people would get all Duffied out over this place my expectations would have been lowered.  The one in Kwood is cool BTW even though the food is blah.  Great family place, and they have a guy on a guitar.  During the week its got more hip replacements than a Bingo parlor.

COME ON DUFFY'S PICK IT UP!  Call Kitchen Nightmares!!  Damn... caps again.

Good for a quick drink after work, or a burger. I was somewhat pleasantly surprised by my Blackened Tilapia dinner. The "salad" was nothing more than lettuce with a few shavings of carrot, though. If you're looking for a quick, mediocre meal thats fairly priced, I'd steer you here.

Great place for a burger at lunch.  Kids like it, grandma likes it.  Fish and chips were pathetic, stick with the burger.

I tried Mike Duffy's with a friend on a whim but was unfortunately disappointed.

My companion ordered a pizza. The sauce was flavorful - not too savory with a touch of sweet, as I like it - but the rest was just...bad. Less than three minutes after arriving at our table, it was cold. Not room temp - COLD. The crust was thin (potentially good!), but not crisp. I am by no means a pizza connossieur, but this was just nasty. Cold, limp pizza with cheese the texture of glue.

I ordered a wrap, which I figured to be harmless, but... it was served in a puddle of its own juices. The taste of the ingredients blended together in what amounted to a soggy mess.

We attended on a Thursday evening, prior to the start of Trivia, but our service was still slow. Not "I see our server running to 50 other tables slow" but "our server seems to disappear for 15, 20 minutes at a time and is nowhere to be seen in the dining room" slow. At one point, we saw her enter the restrooms (ostensibly to clean them), while we plainly made eye contact while I signalled her to our table, because...

The draught beer I ordered was served in a chipped glass.  When I finally got the attention of our server, she seemed shocked at what I assumed to be a very obvious crack.

It takes a lot for me to give a poor review of a place. I work in a restaurant and often gives others the benefit of the doubt. But I won't ever come back to Mike Duffy's.
