They should change their name to "Might Leaf Pee My Pants" because its that good.  Yeah, Yeah, Yeah it's sooooOOoOoooo expensive but seriously when you try their tea it will knock you on your ass.   Also, when you compare it to the price of a Peet's or Starbucks coffee you are saving a few bucks.

The Rainforest Mate blows my mind!  The Green Tea Tropical, African Nector Tea and Chamomile Citris will put your tea tasting palate at a place no other tea can get to.  I don't even know what I just said but trust me they are BOMB.

There is no other tea in the world that comes close to the caliber that is Mighty Leaf.  If you are at all interested in elevating the quality of your life you will try Mighty Leaf.

What are you waiting for? GET TO SAFEWAY AND BUY THIS SHIT!

Mighty Leaf Tea is mighty good and can be found at speciality markets as well as coffee houses.  Albeit, as a non-coffee drinker tea is always my perferred choice.  I throughly enjoy Green and White Orchard.  Artisan crafted tea pouches to make Starbucks look like a joke.

Four stars to Mighty Leaf as it is utterly priced expensive where one can go bankrupt.  Good health comes with a hefty price tag.

Mighty Leaf is in general a great tea company. The Organic African Nectar is one of my favorite rooibos blends. Very well balanced. Very tasty. Drink it.

On a recent visit to Elephant Pharmacy in Berkeley, I noticed that they had a respectable collection of tea brands that I hadn't tried.  Among these brands was the glorious and all powerful Mighty Leaf.

Having never tried the brand, and being a fan of many different teas, I purchased the variety pack.  My thought was that I would take note of the teas that I liked and didn't like so I could make a more informed purchase in the future.  Well...problem, I LOVE THEM ALL!!!  I think I will continue to purchase the variety pack.

Their magical tea bags of happiness (I know what you're thinking) really are something special!  It's just like having loose tea, only not.  Plus, they carry a number of interesting tea combinations that I have not seen elsewhere.

This review is about the tea, not the company.

My drug of choice is black tea, which is really green tea just further dried and fermented. Many tea distributors will then flavor black tea, or buy it flavored and then resell it. I believe Mighty Leaf flavors their own teas.

And they do a good job.

I don't care so much for those pretty little pouches because that really doubles or triples the actual price of the tea itself. You end up paying for looks and presentation, which may gain you points on the vanity scale, but you loose points on the heart of the matter scale, which in this case, is the quality of the tea.

If you are a serious tea drinker, a cup or so a day, or a few times a week, then buy bulk. It's about 1/3 the price of the tea baggery situation. Wholefoods is where I go to bulk up.

My top black teas from The Mighty are (no order due to mood swings):

    ~ Orange Jasmine
    ~ Pear Caramel
    ~ California Fields

    Enjoy!

(Editing to bitch about their website) I love this company still, but I don't like being forced to use Internet Explorer to order their teas. For whatever reason, I couldn't select anything in Firefox.

I haven't been to this actual location, but I've been a fan of Mighty Leaf Tea for years.  My first discovered favorite is their flavorful Chrysanthemum tea (which I generally only order in Chinese dim sum restaurants, but this is much much better than any I've ever had), and my latest revelation is the Mountain Spring Jasmine.

It's amazing, and the service is so fast, too!  I ordered my tea online, and received it the next day at noon.  Excellent all around.

I am a huge TEA fan...my co-worker stole a couple pouches of the Green Tea Tropical (from his girlfriend's stash) for me to sample and I have been HOOKED ever since!  I ordered the bulk of 100 from their website, for the office and it is G-O-N-E- gone!

Ingredients listed for Green Tea Tropical:  Green tea, banana, strawberry, pineapple, guava, and exotic fruit flavors with red, white and blue cornflowers, pineapple pieces

They carry this at Mollie Stones, but for about $9-10, for a box of 15 pouches.  On http://www.mightyleaf.com, they are $43.50/ 100.  A bit pricey- yes.  But it will be the best tea you ever have, and is still cheaper than that triple non-fat, extra frothy, latte at Starbucks...

Mighty Leaf Tea Company has turned me into complete a tea snob!

From their silk tea pouches to their awesome variety of teas, I am hooked.  I have at least three cups a day while at work.  I start off with two cups of the aromatic Orange Dulce in the morning, a stronger caffeinated black tea concoction with notes of jasmine and vanilla, and one cup of Mountain Spring Jasmine as my afternoon pick me up.

I highly recommend finding a favorite and ordering it in bulk off their website.  The 100 pouch option is packaged in a colorful foil lined packet, as opposed to the normal cellophane wrappers, making them last much longer.

I have only seen this tea at a few places.  California Cafe in Los Gatos serves it, and I've also seen at the office of my esthetician, Penn Patee of Skin Space.

Once you try it you will be an enthusiast - you can purchase it from Draeger's, Cost Plus World Market, or off their website: http://www.mightyleaf.com

So we order these teas for my office, and I cannot begin to tell you how many of our patients LOVE it (myself and the rest of the staff included).
The bags of tea arent your typical tea bags, they are beautiful pouches with dried herbs, flowers, fruits,  and tea leaves.
my favorite flavor is the green tea tropical and the organic green dragon.
Try them out, you will LOVE them :)

I agree with Michelle S., their customer service is terrible. I've ordered tea from them a few times, and never had a problem until my last order. I waited and waited for my order, which never came. I called a couple of times to find out what was up, and no one ever called me back. I also e-mailed them, and I never received a response back until close to a week later. Their response was really curt with no apology whatsoever. They ran out of one of the loose teas that I ordered and had to make a fresh batch. Now why couldn't they drop me a quick courtesy e-mail to let me know that, instead of keeping me waiting and wishing that I never placed the damn order in the first place? BAD, UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Despite my bad experience, their teas are really good. The rooibos African Nectar is my fave. It's nice and robust, and I can usually make at least two full teapots out of a single bag. Their loose teas also go a long way. So even though their teas are a little pricey, in that respect, they're worth it.

    Overall -- 3.5 stars

I will add to the kudos here.

The Mighty Leaf people used to run a cafe on Fillmore Street - Tea and Company -- which was stylish and well-executed.  I guess that their business model didn't plan on people occupying tables for 3-4 hours while consuming a $2 cup of tea.

I was sad, sad to see Tea and Company go -- but love Mighty Leaf mail order.  Yes, it takes a little more planning than going to Peet's, but  I order 3 bags at a time which usually keeps me in tea for a month or so.

Mighty Leaf isn't afraid to emphasize flavors.  Peet's tends to have a purist attitude about tea (even as they crank out frozen green tea frappes....) in that flavors are few.  Yes, there's mango, earl grey, and osmanthus fancy even -- but none of the sublime flavors that one could get at Mariage Freres or Fauchon in Paris.

Mighty Leaf fills this void.  Favorites:
Green Tea Tropical -- always tastes fresh and bright
Orchid Oolong -- despite the name, it's coconut flavored - and richly so
Lychee -- the aroma is so heady it should be a controlled substance
Pear Caramel -- smooth and delectable

Flavors I'd like to see at Mighty Leaf:
    Grapefruit (black or green tea)
    Lemon myrtle
    Passion fruit green tea

The full-leaf teas can be brewed at least twice with little loss of flavor.

Yes it'd be great if the loose teas were available in more venues (and not every Whole Foods carries them -- and then not every flavor), but I'll put up with it for the consistently great tea.

    YUUUUUUMMMMMMM.

I first had Mighty Leaf at high tea in Vancouver and my sister and I fell in love. It is delicious, and I've tried a LOT of tea. Very cute packaging and in my opinion this company is the future of tea.

This is where I buy my loose leaf organic Earl Grey tea. It is the MOST fragrant and flavorful I've ever had.  I first had it served by room service at the W here in Manhattan. Yum!

You can get some of their bagged teas at the Garden of Eden on the UWS (http://www.yelp.com/bi... ).

I am such a fucking girl for Mighty Leaf Tea. You will never drink Celestial Seasonings or Lipton ever again.  I am too cheap to buy a whole box but I always pick up a cup at Boulange de Cole or Cafe Du Soleil with some madelines or a brioche. The "American Breakfast" always sets me straight.

If ever anything will get 5 stars from me it is Mighty Leaf Tea!  From the moment I tore open my first foil lined package of Mighty Leaf Earl Grey, I knew this was something special.  Sitting back and savoring a cup of Mighty Leaf after an exceptional dinner gives a feeling of relaxation and satiation above any other on earth.  Pick any flavor of Mighty Leaf and you too can experience this tea of teas.

Behold the greatest packaged tea that you may ever sip.  When a restaurant brings out a Mighty Leaf tea pouch (they don't call them bags because they are something different), it bumps that place up a few notches in my book.  Their blends are absolutely delightful.

The best tea you will find anywhere.  I am not even into tea that much, but that doesn't stop me from buying a 100 count box of chamomile. Mighty Leaf is offered at many of the highest-end restaurants, and deservedly so.  It is simply the best.  They have many online sales.  Take advantage.
