Dr. Barnes read my review on Yelp and called me to discuss. He was very cordial and wanted me to be aware that they did perform the glaucoma test.
About a week later he called to tell me three boxes of my contacts were in and the fourth was on back order. I said no prob - that I would wait until the fourth came in and pick up all at once. Two weeks go by and I haven't heard anything so I call and am told it is still on backorder. I suggest the staff person call the vendor and ask when they plan to ship - I mean this is borderline ridiculous. The staff person calls me back to state there was never a backorder, the vendor's order showed three boxes. My point of saying all that is, if I hadn't suggested they call and find out wtf is up, I may still be waiting for a box of contacts that would never show up.
I sent an email to Dr. Barnes letting him know of my latest experience with his practice. When the fourth box arrived (2 days later), he called to tell me and stated he was going to comp me all four boxes. He said he was sorry for my experience and that he respected my choice to go to whatever eye doctor I chose, but that it is easier to retain customers than to find new ones.
When I went to pick up my contacts, I noticed there was a note with them. The staff person took the note off and handed me the four boxes and said "you're all set". I told her about the credit, at which time she decided to read the note and then she asked for my credit card in order to credit my account. There again, if I didn't bring this to her attention, no credit would have been given.
Net, my experience with the staff gives this business a two star rating.
