I just bought my place condo and of course, it was a nightmare going through all the paperwork.  My real estate agent recommended Michelle, and she was amazing.  She is definitely no-nonsense, was very quick to respond to any issues, and is definitely someone you want on your side.  Her support team at her office, Brooke and Cindy, are great as well.  When Chase - who we thought would be our lender - completely screwed us over at the last minute, they were there making phone calls and chewing those morons out.

Her rates are reasonable, and I would definitely recommend her.

(We got to chatting at the close and I mentioned I was looking to adopt a dog after moving into my new place. She has a friend who volunteers with a shelter, and immediately emailed me a bunch of listings for adoptable dogs. Awesome!)

As an eight year veteran of the mortgage industry, I have worked with hundreds of attorneys.  Michelle Laiss and her staff are as professional and experienced as any Real Estate Attorney's in the City of Chicago or elsewhere.  I would highly reccomend her to a friend or potential client.

Extremely unpleasant person to have an interaction with. For full disclosure, she was the seller's agent when we were purchasing and was extremely rude to everyone during the closing including us, our lawyer, the closing person, etc. She pretty much stayed only 15 minutes before she left to go to a more important deal. Her clients were not there and she ended up costing them more then necessary on a loose end since she was not willing to stay, listen and have a normal conversation.
