Wow, this is such a beautiful park/playground, truly a hidden gem in the North Beach/Russian Hill neighborhood.
Attended a kid's first birthday here today and truly impressed. Lots of parking in the vicinity, serene, quiet and definitely a great picnic spot.
Only drawback is the lack of shade since it was such a sunny and hot day today. But nonetheless by 5pm, the breeze rolled in and everyone truly enjoyed themselves, adults and kids alike....

It's way up there sandwiched between two buildings, on Russian Hill. It's a small multi-level park, well loved by it's slightly run down wood stairs and an old play area, a small community garden, asphalt courts and various seating among various big trees and plants. It's pretty quiet most of the time with exception of some local kids. Nice big fern grotto area in the back for quite respite.
Update: Sorry, Corn! I think the steep hills will keep the crowds at bay.
