Some friends and I happened upon this restaurant following an afternoon at Mine Falls Park -- and I'm so glad we did!

The service was terrific. We had the crab spring rolls for an appetizer and they were terrific as well.  Typically spring rolls are heavy and greasy, but these were a welcome change -- very FRESH tasting.  Lest we forget -- the pizza was AMAZING!!!  We ordered the spinach and mushroom and the special (which had steak tips, carmelized onions and goat cheese) -- I really don't know which was better.

And to top it all off?  They had blue cheese-stuffed olives for martinis:)

(I didn't give the restaurant 5 stars because I found it a little pricey -- $17 for a pizza seems a bit much.)

This is one of the best restaurant in Nashua.
Food 4
Service 4

Dishes I recommend:

Lamb with herb:  Good quality, properly cooked, no mistake.  I wish their sauce could be a little bit creative.
Chocolate lava cake: matches that of a 5 star restaurant in bigger city.

I love this restaurant.  One of my favorites, although it is pricey, you get what you pay for.  The food is as good as it gets and the service is impeccable.

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a very special dinner or a splurge.  Their brunch is also very good.

Tried and true upscale restaurant in downtown Nashua. The food is pretty consistent and you always leave feeling good. However, I have found that some of the menu items are better than others. The pizza can be very good but I have found it a bit greasy and overloaded with toppings (such as bacon). Otherwise, it's a good standby for when you are looking for a nice night out.

I love this place. My husband and I go here for our anniversary every year.
I do wish that it was a little bigger, I have to agree it does get quite cramped especially if you get sat near the door. But I love the food. I always order the fillet Mignon, it just melts in your mouth. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and food.
Going on our anniversary makes it more special since it is a cozy and romantic little place.

The combination of great food, a nice intimate atmosphere and a really good wine list makes Michael Timothy''s one of my favorite restaurants.

The wine bar that is attached has live music and is perfect for date night.

Isn't it nice when an evening comes together? We found Michael Timothy's with the help of the Yelp community (thanks). My goal was to find a nice place to celebrate my partner's birthday. Good choice!

The interior is filled with soft tones of color and light. The chairs are comfortable and the tables are spaced at a decent interval. We heard the cool tones of jazz emanating from another room of the restaurant.

Their wine list is quite large and very impressive! It is the food that hits home, though. We both started with their Mediterranean salad, a kind of mini anti-pasto platter in the form of a salad..very good. We both ordered their specials for our entree. I had lamb. It was beautifully cooked and accompanied with roasted asparagus, a nice sauce, and sweet potato pomme-frite. My partner had the fish special, a piece of halibut with a bacon based sauce, over potatoes...he ate every last bit. We endded the meal with dessert, also quite good. I had their chocolate sampling (a chocoholics delight) and he had their bread pudding of the night, mocha chip. Both were good to the last drop.

Its nice to find such a fine dining establishment in our back yard. Who says you have to go to the big city has to have lock on fine food?

Always delicious, always noisy, always busy...
My husband and I have been going to Michael Timothy's since it opened; we've also tried Surf and the place in Merrimack NH, Buckley's steakhouse that are all owned by the same person.  All good.  I enjoy experimenting at new restaurants, but we have our old stand-bys, and this is one of them.

We spent late Halloween night at Michael Timothy's.  There are a few new things on the menu.  This night Husband had the duck breast and confit leg; I had a salmon in cream sauce which was one of the evening's specials.  We shared the escargot and shrimp on puff pastry for our first course.  All were very good.  Attentive and knowledgable server and water refiller are good things.
This time we were seated in the area far from the jazz bar, and it was very nice and cozy.

I've eaten here dozens of times over the years and I always end up getting the same thing...Twin Tournados.

The atmosphere here is excellent, especially when there's a live Jazz band playing in the bar area.

Service has always been quality (but ya pay for it!).

Everything is a la carte so it's pretty expensive, figure well over $100 for a nice dinner for two w/ drinks.

The only downside is it's relatively small inside so when it gets crowded...you feel a bit cramped.

It does have outdoor seating in the summer and they also have a great, albeit expensive, Sunday brunch.

His other 2 restaurants are very good as well, Surf (seafood place across the street) and Buckleys (steak place in Merrimack).

Hit!

Despite the noise, a less-than optimal table location, and an overpatterned carpet that belongs in a casino, my girlfriend and I still had a fantastic dining experience here.

It's all about the food. The sirloin au poivre was cooked to perfection and the sauce and flavors just came together perfectly.  The fois gras risotto was just incredible.

I have to say that I was quite disappointed in the desserts though having tried the creme brulee and the bread pudding.  But I'm still giving this place 5 stars because the food is hard to beat.

The food is excellent.  I've eaten day-old leftover filet from there and it was still ridiculously good.  Tonight my girlfriend and I had the minestrone soup (some of the best minestrone I've ever had; excellently seasoned), king crab & artichoke gratin ($14, "baked with goat cheese and tarragon", phenomenal).  She had the Pan Roasted Chicken ($19,
"With swiss chard ravioli and tomato-dill vinaigrette") and I had the Wood-Grilled Filet Mignon ($32
"On a grilled, marinated portabello mushroom with herb butter, sauteed spinach and fried onions.")  Since this place is owned by the same people who own Buckley's Great Steaks, I knew I was in for a treat.  They did not disappoint.  A generous portion of melt-in-your mouth beef, perched on a bed of spinach and the most delicious meaty mushroom I've ever had.

For dessert she had the Warm, Soft, Chocolate Cake  ($9
"Bittersweet chocolate cake baked half way, pierced at the table and served with fresh strawberries and creme anglaise") and I had the Banana Cream Pie Napoleon ( $8
"Banana pastry cream layered with fresh bananas, flaky dough, and whipped cream.")  We waddled home after that.

They seem to have a fairly good wine & drink list, though we did not take advantage.

Great food, great wine list, great ambiance.  This is probably one of the best restaurants in Nashua overall.  This is ideal Date Night material.  highly recommended.   Plentiful street parking and free garages are also nearby.

Another great restaurant in Nashua, right across from Surf (same owners).  Excellent wine selection and they often have live entertainment in the wine bar.  The restaurant has some great entrees (the pizza is excellent, and beef tournedos are another favorite), and the chocolate lava cake is my favorite dessert.  Also great for lunch.

This is the place to take partner to a night out and enjoy the best food in the town. It is clean, cozy, lively, and smells good inside!

The service is excellent: friendly, efficient, and professional.

Food is just wonderful. Fresh ingredients cooked right and served right. The portion is just right size.

Great food and wine in an intimate atmosphere. A gem in Nashua. I particularly like the steak at Michael Timothy's. My only negative thoughts are that they seem to be increasing the amount of tables in a small space which makes private conversation or getting up from the table a challenge.

I had the pleasure of having the brunch buffet at Michael Timothy's this morning while visiting my parents for the weekend, and I'm still dreaming of it, wishing I could have it again next weekend.  While the buffet isn't one of these buffets with every imaginable kind of food piled high, what it does offer is done right and is constantly fresh and hot.  I had a wonderful little quiche, a delicious salad with tamari-miso dressing, and delightful desserts.  I even tried the corned-beef, which I've only had one other time in my life.  It fell apart under my fork and melted in my mouth.  The atmosphere is great -- very tastefully decorated and live jazz music.  The bar tender was sweet and knowledgeable.  AND...they have pomegranate mimosas, which I couldn't try this time around, because of the long drive back to Albany, but they looked REALLY good!

As they say, the food is generally amazing, though my wife had a soggy sandwich issue on one visit.  Speaking of my wife, she is convinced that the wait staff purposely sits us at the worst available table and on most occasions we have not received bread, where those around us have.  While I would suggest that this may be related to our coming for lunch and generally having lunch-type meals, for which bread is often overkill, she is positive that it is some form of anti-youth bigotry.  The issue has become so severe that I prefer eating elsewhere rather than deal with her rantings, even though they create some of the best food in town.  To be fair to her, they do seem to cater to a more "mature" clientele, and the damn clown paintings they always sit us under have entered my nightmares.

Great food and  wine. I highly recommend making a reservation though. We showed up on a Friday night (my bad for thinking that the wait would not be too long), figuring that we would have about 1/2 hour wait, and it was more than an hour. The bar was packed, and it took a while to find a seat. Once we sat down at the bar, we did not get up. We made the decision to eat right there. The Jazz band was great. The steak and wine was fabulous. Overall one of the better places up in the greater Nashua/Manchester area.

The food here was amazing! I know I say that about a lot of the places I review, but that's just because I've only reviewed the good restaurants so far. EVERYTHING was good. I have heard of only one person who had a bad experience, and they are so picky that it was probably their own need to find something wrong. Plus they went with bad company. So there you have it. I forget what I had exactly... something like steak tornadoes (I don't know why that's stuck in my head really) or medalions of some kind. Wicked good! It is expensive, but like some of the other places I've reviewed, worth it. Very good for nice but local dates with someone you want to impress.
