1 review for Michael Eric Koptke
Eric is not only an amazing dancer but a phenomenal dance instructor. He can do it all - all styles of Ballroom & Latin as well as social dances like Salsa, Swing, and so much more. Eric is very knowledgeable and can teach everyone from the beginner dancer to the most advanced. He has a great sense of movement and how the physical body works when it dances...he can make almost every dancer of every level look better than before.
I take lessons with Eric because I am a competitive American Rhythm dancer (Rhythm, btw, is just a different style of Latin dancing - Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, etc). He explains patterns, technique, & styling very well and breaks down what may look like the most difficult thing into something easier to do. He definitely goes at your own pace and adjusts to your learning ability so you never feel overloaded nor do you feel like you aren't learning anything. At the end of each lesson, I always feel that I've improved my dancing a little more with what he has taught me. Not only that, but a good chunk of what he teaches me in Ballroom I have been able to apply to my social dancing as well. Even after my first lesson, I've felt like my dancing went up to a higher notch.
So whether you are a social or competitive dancer, or even someone who is getting married...Eric is a wonderful instructor, the epitome of professionalism, and a friendly guy all around. Not only is he a fantastic teacher, but an accomplished dance competitor in the Ballroom world. I highly recommend him if you are looking to take up dance lessons. He is one of the best out there.
