After reading Shawn M.'s review of this place, I had to try it. My verdict: I MUST CONCUR with Mr. Shawn. This place is the BIZ!

They let you taste everything, which is a plus because some places only let you taste one flavor (those places get 2 stars). I fell for the Oatmeal Cookie and Gianduia (aka Nutella) at first sight. I usually get the smallest size, but my belly had the feeling we were going to enjoy this endeavor. It was so right! Always trust your gut.

It was delicious! The oatmeal cookie had bits of the cookie in it which helped with the texture of the gelato. Gave it a little umph. If you are a fan of Nutella, such as I, you would love the Gianduia. It's just like eating it out of the jar with a spoon, except it's cold and a little bit lighter.

The place is clean and furnished with a contemporary style. The staff is very nice and patient. It can get a bit pricey, but I'm willing to give up on ice cream and just stick to gelato all the way baby!

Came here yesterday with 2 friends. It was pretty windy and chilly outside, but that didn't bother us. The company and delicious gelato was well worth it :)

The gelato was soft and creamy. I ordered the Capuccino, and sampled my friend's mint chocolate chip and panna cotta. The capuccino was perfect. Mint chocolate chip was minty and refreshing. The panna cotta was a little too sweet for me, but still yummy.

Interested in prices? cups: Small is $3.50, Medium $4.50, large $5.50.

The place is nice and clean. After reading the reviews, I guess this place lets you taste before you order. My friends and I didn't ask, but since we stood there for quite some time deciding what to get, I would have appreciated if the servers offered a taste instead of just staring and waiting. Other than that, I have no other complaints--its gelato, its yummy.

GELATO IN ROSEVILLE?! I had to come try it!

We came on a two dollar scoop night for the blue bowl which was promotional on Thursdays. Our cashier said that it was their last night. I was lucky to have gotten this sweet deal for dessert after a distasteful dinner at the Counter across the street. My scoop consisted of half coffee, half hazelnut. It was semi-sweet. Nothing compared to a chocolate doused in chocolate syrup. The coffee flavor had the taste of the actual espresso beans. The hazelnut was alright. Is there a thing as too hazelnutty? I would probably get a different flavor next time. They have a huge variety of flavors. They also sell italian soda. How can I not come back?

After walking the Fountains in 90+ degree heat, Mirabella was a great treat for my friends and me.

We split a scoop of oatmeal cookie, nutella, and hazelnut. Each flavor was very unique and tasty, but wonderful in combination. I liked the oatmeal cookie the most, as I've never tasted another flavor of ice cream like it!

    I want MORE!

I visited tonight after a great dinner at Yard House. There's a yogurt shop closer to the restaurant, but gelato tastes much better in my opinion, and is more like ice cream, except with 70% less fat! I Love the variety of flavors! Oatmeal cookie, pistachio, hazelnut, and many others that just melt in your mouth! Their texture, flavor selection, and decor definitely stands out. Wayyy better than a typical yogurt chain! :)

The only reason I can't give this place five stars is because there is this place in Seattle that has the best Gelato ever. But in terms of local places, this place is pretty good. I take my daughter here all the time because she likes running around the fountains and sharing a piccolo gelato with her dad. They have some interesting flavors to choose from, and of course your traditional flavors. It is definitely worth a try.

So far, the best gelato around the Sac area. They have great flavors, like oatmeal cookie, that you won't find anywhere else. The texture is better than most other gelato around Sacramento. I got a lime & coconut combo that was perfect on a 95 degree day.

Damn my trip to Italy for turning me on to Gelato. I think I must have gain 10 pounds from the Gelato and pastas I had when I was overseas. Now I come to find out, there's a gelatos store in the Fountains. Can you say, SCORE.

I've been in this place numerous times. Although they have gelato inside Whole foods, it just isn't the same. The staff always seems to be nice and the place always seems to be clean. The best part though is the free samples you get before you buy.  Overall, I splurge a little to get a little memory of Italy.

    Pros:
    Free testers
    It's gelato
    Cleaniness
    Flavors

    Cons:
Still trying to find one. $$ maybe

I came here on a lazy Sunday afternoon to raise my blood sugar because I was super tired from shopping and I'm glad I did! I'm vegan and it's always annoying to go to gelato shops and only see Sorbet in one or two nasty flavors, but this place had some really great options!!!

I asked the person behind the counter which ones were gelato and which ones were sorbet since it wasn't clearly labeled. She told me that the flavors with the clear scoops in it were sorbet and the ones with the black scoops in them were gelato, easy enough!

They let you pick your size and you can either get a full cup of one flavor, or get 2 flavors, half and half! I got half peach and half kiwi, the flavors were spot on! The peach tasted like I bit into a yummy frozen peach and the kiwi even had the little kiwi seeds in it. I will definitely be going back to this shop for my sugar fix, I'm going to have to try the watermelon and strawberry sorbet next!

I have read some of the 1star reviews, and I didn't experience any unfriendly service when I went. The people who worked there were some teenagers, but they weren't rude or snobby. They were simply doing their job, they didn't seem overly-enthusiastic about the gelato, but it wasn't bad service. The shop was also really clean when I went, there were only 2 workers there, so I can see how it would be hard to keep the place clean if there are a ton of people in there leaving their trash, but it was spotless when I was there. I definitely like this place a lot better than Melt in the galleria!!!

    Must go!

    Bella Bella

I remember this term when I was a friends date to their cousin's wedding.  Add in "miha" and I felt so special, especially when I was the only Asian at a pretty ethnic reception.

Miabella Gelato is located directly across from The Counter burgers so it was probably planned that way.  I don't doubt the planners.  They knew that after our terrific burger meal that seeing a gelato place on the way out would seal the devil's deal.

Cute and modern quaint on the inside, we were awarded with several flavors to choose from as well as three sizes of the traditional colorful plastic cups.  In addition to Gelato and sorbettos, they also serve drinks as well as desserts such as Gelato Spaghetti and Gelato Pops to name a few.  The girls here were pretty quiet, but I appreciate that rather than have a bunch of teeny boppers chatting away and being rude.  These two were calm and basically reflected the means of the business: this is no Baskin Robbins, no, we are classier than that.

I chose the Piccolo size (small) with a generous scooping of the creamberries which was basically a rich creamy vanilla Gelato with exorbitant jewels of strawberries and preserves swirling throughout.  I ate the entire thing while sitting outside and enjoying the cool breeze wafting from the fountain display located in the roundabout.

$3.50 for the small and the prices increase accordingly.  For the perfect sweet tooth after a fantastic savory meal, I'd recommend a quick stop here for some smooth Italian sweetness.

I am not a fan of the self serve frozen yogurts in this side of town. Too many sticky hands, Crocs, strollers and Hannah Montana paraphernalia.

The obvious choice, is Mirabella. The shop is clean, kept and cute. The staff is super nice and the gelato...well the gelato is pretty good too. They are creamy and served in the little plastic cups with the little plastic spoons that hurt your heart to toss out, or you can have it in a waffle cone.  They have a lot of fresh fruit gelatos (more like a sorbet) and some sweeter ones made with candy bars.

You might have to dodge the rugrats around the corner that have lined up to dump M&M's on their chocolate syrup to get here, but trust me, the battle is worth it.

So I decided to stop in after shopping at Whole Foods. I love gelato and it's been awhile (I think the last time I was in Italy) since I've had a decent one.

The gelato was great. I was surprised that they had rather authentic flavors, though I wish they had ACE. ACE was my absolute favorite when I was in Italy. The serving size was decent. $3.50 for a small and I got two flavors. I honestly enjoyed the gelato.

What I didn't enjoy was the service. I understand that it's a Sunday night around dinner time, and I'm sure they would rather be home, but still. I walk in and there's no one there. There are three workers (two girls and a guy) who look like they are in high school. So they look up at me because I'm interrupting their conversation. They don't say hello, welcome, nothing. They serve me and then I say "thanks" to the girl that handed me my gelato. What does she do, hands it to me and then turns back to the guy to talk about some Vh1 show that she say last night. It would have been nice to have a "your welcome" or "thanks for coming in", but I got nothing. I understand what it is to be young and such, but seriously, is it that hard to have a little customer service?

Mariabella makes its own gelato.   We stopped there yesterday after shopping for shoes.  The gelatos are pretty tasty, very soft and made in single batches so they stay fresh.

They also offer interesting Italian desserts.  The shop is impeccably clean, updated, and cute.

    Highly recommended!

Oatmeal cookie gelato............................BEST GELATO FLAVOR EVER...............EVER!!!!!!    Please try it and agree with me!  Actually, this is the best gelato I've had in the US and I've had gelato all over Italy.   So creamy and they offer a wafer to go on top.  I like that touch.  The decor is sleek and modern.  The people are helpful and cheery and the price is reasonable.  It's a 5 star place.  A taste of Italia in Roseville.

I crave gelato from this place. And I crave it ALL THE Time. lol It is the only place that I can find "Rose"-flavored gelato. the Rose-flavor is actually from rose water that they use in the recipe. The only way to describe it is that when you think of how a rose looks and smells, their rose gelato is exactly how it would taste: sweet (but not too sweet) and light and fragrant. I have experienced sub-par service from behind the counter here before( same thing that others have mentioned-ignoring customers or rude), but honestly, I don't care as long as I get my rose gelato. It is that fabulous.

Oh, and I tried their pumpkin pie flavored gelato, and it literally tasted like a cupfull of pumpkin pie filling. I couldn't believe it. Yum!

This was the hands-down most delicious sorbet I've had in my life. I'd kill for the raspberry...and I'm not kidding, watch out if you have one of those babies.
The service is pretty friendly, but what do you expect when sorbets taste like frozen, no-fat, heaven on earth?
...Except I keep forgetting to bring an ice-chest, so I wouldn't have to drive 2 hours for this deliciousness.

Not sure any gelato can ever compare to my first amazing gelato experience at a little hole in the wall in Rome, but Miabella Gelato is tasty and much more convenient in proximity. I LOVED the wine custard flavor, I cannot remember the name but it was Italian and it was not too sweet and tasted like a sherry cake my aunt makes. I got a medium sized cup with two flavors: the wine custard and hazelnut. Hazelnut was delicious at first, but then became overwhelming. I could have eaten that wine custard one for days though. The service was friendly and the line was long but moved quickly. I will be back to try the gelato cupcakes!

You know what, funny thing is that I've just created my Yelp account because of this damn place.

All I wanted was peaceful dessert time with my boyfriend. I wanted him to try the wonders of Italiano ice cream. We walked in on a Thursday, it was exactly 8:49pm and they were closing at 9:00pm. We walk in and this old lady was like "We're closed" ...So you're telling me you're closed at 8:49 pm when you have 4 people inside enjoying their ice cream, laughing, having a good time? Not only did she just say "we're closed" and waited us to go back outside, she literally came out behind the counter register area and got all up in my personal space and said "Go, we're closed" in a not-so-polite way. I mean, we didn't have a terrorist look or gave any sort of threat to her to deserve such rudeness! We were nothing but two love birds wanting to enjoy some quick ice cream, and we aren't picky either so it could have taken us literally 2 minutes to get in and get out!
I really can't believe a place that sells good quality ice cream has poor quality service. Wth? Just because of this bad experience people don't realize HOW MANY CUSTOMERS they can lose by just  word of mouth, and of course, via Yelp. :)

I'm never going back there again. F that place. There's a better Italiano Gelato ice cream place in the Roseville Galleria that also offers dessert and savory Crepes. Try that instead!  Peace.
