5 reviews for Mexican Village
Mexi's to me is more about the feeling than the food. It's where we'd go after band concerts and before birthday parties and when it was too early to go home but we were too young to go to a bar. I've had too many good times here to count.
Objectively, the food is tasty and generic tex-mex, just a step below Paradiso. Their salsa sucks.

Well, I have had good and bad experiences here; I remember one year that three of my friends had food poisoning, but they were very responsive to the inquiry and reimbursed my friends without question.
Birthdays are fun - the staff breaks out in song and embarrasses whomever may be the target. Drinks here flow plentifully, too. We used to come here to celebrate Science Olympiads.
Other times haven't been marred by this, but the service at times has been slower. The salsa and chips here are less exciting than the Paradiso's, but they aren't bad.
Best Mexican food I can find anywhere in ND or MN lol. Great fajitas, unreal queso (add beef to it for the perfect taste), awesome chicken burritos, gravy etc. This is a must try!

I now live in Texas but went to NDSU and I've been going to Mexican Village since it opened in 1970. I've lived in Texas for 30 years and Mexican Village is still my FAVORITE Mexican restaurant. I would almost drive to Fargo JUST to go to Mexican Village. We plan our Fargo arrivals by their hours!
They dropped their Broccoli Burrito from the menu and my husband just loved it. They will still make it for him is we bring the broccoli.
Mexican Village is the best! I dream about their chip dip!

The Village is a festive place; take your friends or family; it's just a block away from Broadway and all the good bars/restaurants downtown.
I know a guy who truly believes their salsa is the best in the world and stocks up on it every time he's in town. I think it's flavorful but too runny.
Get the pollo fundido.
