I love this place because the staff is so nice, the bustling excitement is constant, the prices are good and the meals include steamed vegetables. How complete! The pernil is pretty damn good - exclaimed "The best in town" by the lady working there. The yellow rice is just aight, but when you mix in some skin fat, it tastes awesome for at least 4 mouthfuls of rice.
Integrity is the most important thing and this Ecuadorian restaurant has nothing but. There is an upstairs but that looked weird. The first four tables in the middle of the day is where it's at.
And while you are eating Queens, dress Queens too - a few stores north is a huge Salvation Army.

Metro is a teeny, cheap diner that does the job. I would have given it 4 stars except the last time I went (about a month ago) they had changed their menu from a typical everything-but-the-kitchen-sink diner menu to a double-sided small piece of paper that had hardly anything on it! I made the mistake of getting one of their specialty sandwiches...it was ok but I should have stuck with grilled cheese. So, for a cheap egg & bacon breakfast this is the place to go but avoid their creative stuff.
Also, they have a weird, half-hearted nautical theme to their decorations. Odd.
