Last February I flew home from NYC during a snowstorm, and my ride couldn't make it to the airport, so very short notice I ordered a Metro Car.  The ride to Ann Arbor in the midst of the near-blizzard took around 2 hours, and it was really fun.  The driver offered to buy me a Starbucks coffee, and we had a really good conversation.  Of course, it is not a cheap ride.
